Fugitive Woman

Fugitive Woman
Becoming Blind

Lately Darian felt his vision decreased drastically. I don't know what because, but now he can't see things too clearly anymore. Like looking behind a foggy glass. Yeah, that's how it looks.

"Aragh!" Erang Darian because he felt both his eyes were very hot.

Kalila. He ran over to Darian with a worried face.

"Dian! What was? What's going on?" Ask Kalila worriedly.

"Come, Kalila. My eyes feel so hot. Argh!" Ringis Darian holds both of her eyes.

"Do you want to see a doctor? I'll get in line, Ian." Kalila said carefully.

Darian only nodded weakly while still holding his throbbing eyes.

"Yes, please. Take me to any doctor who can cure this." Ringis Darian's.

Kalila smiled faintly. His hand touched Darian's arm.

"Oh, of course, Ian. I'll take you to the best doctor in Jakarta."

...****************...

Kalila and Darian arrive at a doctor's clinic called Kalila. Clinic located in a street corner with obsolete signage. Anyone who sees it will definitely not believe that this clinic is the best clinic in Jakarta. But Darian was not the least bit suspicious. The reason was of course because Darian himself could not see how the clinic looked like. Everything seemed faint in Darian's eyes and he entrusted everything to Kalila.

Kalila held both of Darian's shoulders gently.

"I got this clinic recommendation from my friends who used to study in America. They say this doctor is the best ophthalmologist in Jakarta. Do you want to?" Say Kalila subtly.

Darian nodded steadily. But his eyes looked somewhere. Because Darian himself could only see a blurry silhouette before him.

"Whatever it is, honey. What matters is that my eyes heal soon." Darian answered while groping Kalila's face.

Kalila smiled a little. Seeing how miserable the fate of this cruel monster was now.

"All right, let's go in, Ian."

Kalila pushed Darian into the slum. If Darian could see, he would definitely refuse to go there. The appearance in the building was not even much better than the exterior. The light is dim and only illuminates the potluck. The floor and walls were shabby and some of the paint was slightly peeling off. And old stairs that look worn. Rather than a doctor's practice, this place is more suitable to be referred to as a shooting location for horror films set in a hospital.

"This place is a little hot, honey?" Darian asked as Kalila pushed him through the long, dim corridor.

Kalila chuckled small. Small enough that Darian couldn't possibly notice it.

"Ah, yes. The air conditioner here seems to be being fixed, Ian. I just saw the AC service guy coming down the stairs." Kalila told a lie.

"Oh, so? Alright." Darian answered completely.

A few minutes later, they finally arrived in front of a dull white door. The wooden door looked quite old. Kalila opened the door and a room appeared inside. At least this room isn't as bad as the other parts of this building. The room was clean and shiny. The equipment is also quite modern. It looks professional enough to show the image of a doctor.

The man in his thirties who was sitting in it smiled. A warm smile as if he knew Kalila. Of course, because this suspicious doctor is one of Niko's friends. An ophthalmologist who lost his license because he had made his patients blind.

"Please sit down, Mother and Father." Said Doctor Andi. His tone was flat, as if there was nothing between him and Kalila.

"So what can I help you with? What complaints does the patient have?" Doctor Andi asked as she looked at Kalila.

This time Darian spoke.

"Ah, look Doc, over the past month my vision has gotten worse Doc. At first it was just a little bit of a blur. But over time it became worse. Now my eyesight is only limited to looking like a blurry silhouette." Darian.

Doctor Andi nodded in understanding.

"Then, please come forward here so that I can check the condition of the eyes of the Father." Pinta Doctor Andi carefully.

Kalila also moved from her seat and pushed Darian to approach the ophthalmoscope there. Darian put his face there and Doctor Andi started to look at him seriously. A few minutes passed, Doctor Andi raised his face and asked Darian to sit back as usual.

"So what happened to me, Doc?" Darian asked inquisitively.

Doctor Andi sighed slowly.

"Did you have an accident in the last few months?" Ask Dr. Andi seriously.

Darian looked surprised. Then he nodded slowly.

"What happens to the Father is a decrease in nerve function due to a hard impact on the head. And it just so happened that the decline in function hit that part of your vision." Obviously Doctor Andi.

Darian's facial water is getting less and less. Like a nightmare, having lost the ability to walk now he would lose his sight anyway?

"Can this disease be cured, Doc? How am I gonna live my life if I can't see Doc?" Said Darian in a trembling voice.

Kalila looked at Darian with pity. He touched Darian's arm slowly and rubbed it. Acting as if to calm Darian's heart. All of this was part of his grand plan.

"Because the center of the problem is on the nerves, with a heavy heart I have to say that the possibility for you to recover is very small." Doctor Andi said slowly.

"But we can still try, can't Doc? We're ready to do anything while Darian can heal, Doc! No matter what the cost!" Kalila cried with a sobbing voice.

Doctor Andi was silent for a moment.

"I can only give you a prescription to slow permanent blindness in Mr. Darian. The rest depends on Mr. Darian's own body." Doctor Andi replied slowly.

Darian turned to look for Kalila who was actually beside him. He tried to embrace his lover.

"It's impossible for all this to happen, Ian! No way! Why is life so cruel to you!" Kalila cried while sobbing.

With great difficulty, Darian finally found Kalila. He immediately held his lover in his arms. The woman cries like crazy while the man is constantly trying to calm her lover as well as herself.

Darian can't do anything. He could only whisper to Kalila.

"I'm sorry, honey. I'm sorry."

Hearing Darian's regretful voice made Kalila's heart soar with pleasure. His attempt to make Darian bend his knees and helpless was already halfway through. His nose could smell victory. And it smells so good.
