EPS 78'S. YOUR PROMISE

My love story, a song from a famous band that tells a heartbreaking love story, just like the story of my life. That morning I woke up like the usual days before, while taking a cell phone to check sms, chat and email. But I found an email that only contained lyrics of a song that felt quite familiar.

After I checked on the internet apparently that song is a song of my memories with my ex-lover who left me without any explanation from him. Love can still be sung by my ex when we are in a storm and sad. He always makes me smile by singing that song with his guitar. But it's all over, he's been leaving me for 1 year without any news. Now I really hate him and try to forget him in my life.

Time showed at 8:30 am, I rushed to get ready to go to campus. When I was getting ready to leave, my mom called me from her room.

“Sofie.. Can you please take mom today to the hospital?”

“Lho.. Mama's sick? What pain?” Much

“Mama would like a consultation with a doctor.. You accompany mom yes.”

“Ya already Ma, then Sofie between Mama only today.”

That morning my mother and I went to the hospital to check on her health. The day was a little strange, mama's face was sad and gloomy all the way. Even my mother did not speak a word to me. Hatikupun felt something strange and wondered if there was something hidden by mama?.

There was not long an email coming in from the mysterious sender. All this time I suspected the mysterious sender was my ex whom I hated the Stars. Maybe he didn't dare to show up knowing I hated him for leaving me so unheard of. As soon as we left the room, I met my father and a little boy in his 10s. When I saw the boy's face it seemed like I was no stranger to his, maybe he was one of the nieces in my extended family. I wonder if Mama consulted one of her sick relatives and this child is her son?. I saw the boy so cheerful when he saw me and the mama whose faces were also smiling and we were like a happy family.

The clock showed at 12:00 and I decided to go to the cafe that was sent to me. I also say goodbye to mama, papa and little children from relatives of mama.

Get off the cab, I see the clock ticking 13:00. I entered the cafe a little nervous for fear of meeting the mysterious email sender. In my little heart there was doubt that my prediction was wrong - not the stars but others I had never known. However, after I entered I saw only a few tables were filled. Suddenly one of the servants called me.

“Mbak Sofie yes?”

I nodded and replied “Iy.. Yes right”.

“Mari. We have prepared table 13.”

“Excuse me mbak, kwetiau friednya and orange juice.”

In my heart I smiled because it was my favorite food and drink. And I'm more and more convinced this must be the work of my former star.

I also decided to follow the flow and wanted to know what the surprise was. When I finished devouring food and drink, I waited because I thought the stars would come out soon and would invite me back. However, a waiter came back to my desk and asked “Is Mbak ready with his surprise” and I replied “oke”.

Before long the waiter immediately closed the window of the cafe and prepared something. Before long appeared a man I had never known while carrying a guitar and singing a song and it turned out that the song was a song that was emailed to me. This made me smile and feel so happy. I don't know why it feels like hearing this song makes me calm and brings good memories.

Shortly after the man finished singing with his guitar, he also said “To Mbak Sofie, there is a surprise in the rose decoration on the table”. I was also curious and it turned out that under my desk's ornamental rose vase there was a ring wrapped in a small cloth.

I was surprised to see the ring that said Sofie 13-03-2013. The ring is the same shape I've been wearing all this time.

Before long, mom and dad appeared suddenly and said something.

I saw mama say with a slight tremble and teary eyes. Somehow even my heart started beating so fast as if something bad was going to happen to me and make me even more afraid.

“Mama, papa and Bintang hope you can remember everything.

My heart was completely confused and did not understand what was really going on right now. I could not say a word even though in my little heart I wanted to scream and ask what was the meaning of all this?? And why did they mention the name of the Star while the man I saw was not in the cafe.

The little star who was my own child ran towards me and hugged me tightly.

“Mama don't forget me.. I miss my old mom.”

These tears flowed profusely and covered my face as I hugged my baby.

“Mama promise not to stay adek.”

Slowly, my past memories returned.. So too with bad memories when the accident happened. But now I am stronger and stronger, because those who love me are beside me including you Stars…

Even though I hate you for leaving me so quickly.. I always loved you.. I realize even though you have left us.. But my memory of fond memories and our Promise will continue to be eternal in my memory..
