Chapter 177 {Season 2: Naive}

Black Aura looked at the afternoon sky which was soon to be taken over by the darkness of the night which never forgot to bring his army, the moon and the stars. During the transition between that afternoon and that evening, Black Aura sat on the roof while also waiting for the women to cook dinner.

This was his first time having dinner together at the Midnight mansion. Because once, Black Aura rarely ate dinner together because Midnight who at that time chose to live on earth for work and Carmine because of her school affairs.

Once he knew that today would be a dinner together especially with strangers he did not recognize, the first impression Black Aura would feel was awkward and strange.

Of course it's awkward. Some of the teenagers who came to Carnater were almost all human. Not to mention her sure one-table dinner with Ethan.

The Midnight dining table was rectangular in shape and it was enough for twelve people. It's wide, isn't it?

Black Aura clucked violently whenever he imagined Ethan's smile. The man is either invited or not, always interrupting his time with Chloe. What Black Aura feared from her relationship with Chloe later on was fragile. He is afraid that the further Black Aura gets with Chloe because of Ethan's presence next to the girl, it will trigger a feeling of comfort in Chloe's heart every time the girl is in the arms of the two-identity man.

Black Aura took out his sword which he had just cleared ten minutes ago. It looks shiny and looks like new. It's beautiful at the end. In fact, Black Aura could clearly see the reflection of his flat face from his sword.

Bored. It was very desirable, Black Aura killed the Auras. Since dating Chloe, her freedom in fighting is a little hindered. Black Aura as the fiercest Aura in Carnater always spent 24 hours of his time fighting, killing the feelings of others, and finding out the reason behind the grief of others. From the fight, Black Aura could understand little by little the cause of the sadness appeared.

Well, despite that time, he did not care much about human feelings and still prioritized his work as a killer in order to keep his fighting ability to increase, until finally feared by everyone.

Tired of daydreaming, Black Aura activated his eye-tracking ability. The aura was intending to find out the activities that Chloe was currently working on. Whether the girl had finished cooking or was there some other work approaching her.

“Eh?” Black Aura was stunned when her violet bead found Chloe who was currently climbing several steps with both hands carrying a plate filled with french fries and three pieces of pandanus.

From the direction of the road, it seemed that Chloe was about to approach the roof, where Black Aura was relaxing at the moment.

Why would he come to me? Why not just Ethan? If he really likes and is comfortable with Ethan, why not just go to the guy?

“Come, dinner,” take him.

Chloe was stunned to find a ‘hah’ response from Black Aura who was looking at the sunset. It's not usually that kind of response. Even this is the first time Aura said ‘hah’ in front of Chloe directly. Perhaps, that Aura was still angry with him for what he had done with Ethan a few hours ago.

Chloe looked down, again feeling guilty. He was regretful but thought, there was no point in regretting because Black Aura himself seemed to have grown tired of hearing the meaningless beautiful chatter coming out of his mouth.

“Yes, dinner. The others have been waiting in the room,” continued Chloe trying to ignore the response of Black Aura that was quite painful for him.

“You go first,” reply Black Aura flat. His gaze was still fixed straight to the sun which was already completely sunk.

“But I want to eat with you too. I also made your favorite sponge.”

Chloe frowned in disbelief. The answers he got from Black Aura were all cold. It was as if his current presence meant nothing to that Aura.

Pain indeed. However, Chloe did not want to look bellied in front of Black Aura. That was why, he tried to put on a casual look and bluntly told Black Aura about the feelings of that Aura at the moment.

“Aura, you must be angry right?”

There was no answer from Black Aura, no big deal for Chloe. The girl understood that the Aura was also trying to forgive herself by ignoring her. Every action has a payoff. Chloe understands that. Also, everyone has their own way of replying to every deed of others who have hurt him.

Chloe just realized that Black Aura was created from Carmine's feelings of vengeance. So, it was only natural that Aura was trying to hold back not to take revenge on the person she loved.

Chloe looked down with a faint smile on her face. “I'm cruel huh. As good as my own stomach. In fact, you already trust me. But I betrayed you. It must hurt, right?”

Chloe's question was answered by the silence of the afternoon which was slowly painted by the darkness of the night. The aura still held its sitting position facing the place where the sun had sunk.

“Aura, if I could fix my ugly nature, would you not be with me again? I won't promise but prove that I can change!”

“Maybe it's hard for you to accept me right now because I've been lying so many times. But, frankly, to be honest! Iloveyou! I love you, Aura! When I was with Ethan, I felt something was lacking and strange. I feel like the person I should be with is not Ethan but.”.

“Aoi...” cut Black Aura still with the same position.

Chloe's breath was choked to hear Black Aura's words just now. He quickly denied it because what Black Aura said was not the answer that would come out of Chloe's mouth.

“Black Aura! That person who from morning till tonight should accompany me!” chloe shouted out loudly. Because of the sudden, Chloe's tears to fall rapidly wet the surface of the roof in front of the end of her shoes. And also, the words that Chloe spoke were not only limited to coming out of her mouth but from the bottom of her heart and subconscious

“Aura, please... Don't leave me again! Honestly, I really enjoyed the times a month ago when we were both together. I... Really enjoyed it! I, who was always lonely, envious, and feeling unappreciated, slowly opened up to others because of you! You have opened my eyes, Aura.

“You have also saved me from my excessive ego. You're the one who made me able to face all the problems that I thought there would be no way out,” said Chloe while sobbing.

His hands shook because the tears flowing in his eyes also drained his energy.

Chloe wiped her tears. He was sad, but on the other hand realized that what he said now was no longer of any use to Black Aura which he had already hurt.

“Hiks... Well, I guess.. It's just free I said this. I will repeat the same mistake and hurt you again. Aura, I want to have dinner first. The fries I put here yes.”.

Chloe who gave up on it, walked slowly towards Black Aura then, placed a plate filled with fries and three pieces of her homemade pandanus sponge beside that Aura.

Right now, Chloe did not dare to look at Black Aura's face. He was two hundred percent sure that the Aura was not interested in looking at his messy face because of his tears.

“Chabisin yes! You see, this is the first time I made a sponge,” said Chloe before finally passing leaving Black Aura alone on the roof.

While walking, Chloe's footsteps were suddenly restrained by Black Aura who was holding her arm silently.

Seeing the actions of the Black Aura, of course, made Chloe jerked in shock as well as moved because she was still given hope to continue with the Aura that she loved,

In front of her, it was clear that the figure of Black Aura stood up and showed her face that turned out to cry when she heard the expression of Chloe's heart just a moment ago.

Chloe was certainly speechless knowing the appearance of Black Aura who was not much different from her. Both are messy with tears.

“Aura? Why are you arresting me? You hate me, don't you? Yeah, right? You're not tired of me betraying you?”

Black Aura smiled faintly. Her tears are flowing again. “Yes, tired, stupid.”

Chloe fell silent. He understood the Black Aura's answer to this one.

“But if you already love how? You're a bitch but I'm hard to let go. How can I survive without you if I love you myself, Chloe?”
