Chapter 149 {Season 2: Balanced}

After fifteen minutes of walking with no clear direction, Chloe finally stopped. It was not from exhaustion or confusion, but rather guilt that enveloped his heart. Like a seed, if the seed is still there, it will grow into a tree that then branches off. You could say, that's what Chloe's guilt is right now. He felt he had just done something stupid. Just because of her unstable mood, Chloe easily snapped at Black Aura who was reprimanding her for worrying about her.

Chloe bit the tip of her lip. “Stupid. I'm actually why?”muttered. Suddenly, a memory flashed a few minutes ago where he blatantly promised in front of Black Aura that he would continue to be by the side of that Aura. Protect it and blah, blah, blah.

But look at him now. Play just goes away, carrying an anger that he himself does not know where the negative feelings come from. What is clear is that Chloe feels so useless at times like this.

“What is it?”

Curious, Chloe closed her eyes again. This time, it was a little longer than before. It was true, that blue spark was there as darkness approached his vision. Faintly too, Chloe could hear the voice of a girl as if she was whispering something in her left ear. Her soft voice made Chloe lulled by the drowsiness that out of nowhere just appeared.

The girl's body collapsed instantly. For a while, Chloe fell asleep. He resigned. Yes, in the midst of her thinning consciousness, Chloe could still feel how heavy the worry was. He is his best friend and Black Aura. He was worried that the three things also felt an overwhelming fear of the presence of Auras hiding behind large tree trunks or groves of trees. They're real.
