Episode 31

The next day at Shera and David's house ...

Lily wakes up and sees Shera still asleep next to her. He then walked out of the room and headed to the kitchen to make a cup of hot coffee. David who was asleep on the living room sofa woke up to smell the aroma of coffee brewed by Lily.

"Lilly ... Your coffee smell woke me up. If you're a good friend, please make me a cup of coffee" David said.

"Of course I'm your best friend, this is what you drink first. I'll make another one for me and Shera. Please wake up Shera" Lily said.

"All right, I'll wake him up."

While David wakes up Shera who is still asleep in the room, Lily brews coffee for him and Shera and then takes her to the living room.

"Where is Shera? Did you wake up or not?" ask Lily.

"He was washing his face, be patient" David said.

Lily then turned on the television to watch the music show. Before long Shera came and sat beside Lily while enjoying Lily's coffee.

While at Alfred's parents' house ...

Alfred was swimming with Elizabeth's beloved dog, Molly. The dog was bought by Alfred for Julie. As his relationship with Julie is over, Alfred takes back Molly to give her to Elizabeth.

Seeing Alfred swimming, Jack approached him to ask for the keys to his apartment.

"Mr Alfred sorry to bother you, I need your apartment keys to move your personal belongings here" Jack said.

"All right, wait another 10 minutes. Please bring me some orange juice here."

"Well Mr. Alfred."

After Jack returns with his ordered orange juice, Alfred immediately climbs from the pool. Alfred dried his body and walked to his room to retrieve the keys to his apartment to give to Jack.

"Can you come back before 12 p.m?"  ask Alfred.

"Okay, Mr. Alfred, I'm willing to go first" replied Jack

Alfred sat by the pool and enjoyed orange juice and occasionally played with Molly.

"It's better that I stay here again." murmured Alfred.

Alfred's phone rings ...

"Hallo Brother, where are you now?" ask Elizabeth.

"I'm home, what's up?" ask Alfred.

"Home home? Not usually. Now I'm with Mom and Dad at the airport. Can you come get us?"

"All right, I'm leaving now to pick you up."

Alfred immediately changed his clothes and went to the airport to pick up his family who had just returned from Singapore.

Back to Shera and David's house ...

Lily bids her return home to Shera and David after receiving a message from her mother telling her to go home soon.

"You're careful on the road yeah, I hope you get a new job better than before" said Shera.

"Let's go to the Dragon Cafe. I'm getting information if Dragon Cafe needs a waiter there. If you want you can come over there to meet Megan, she's the manager at Dragon Cafe. And may your recording produce good results." added David.

"Thank you guys for being so nice to me, I'll try to come there later. I'm so grateful to have a friend like you" Lily said.

"We are also happy and proud to have a friend like you. Go home now don't let your Mom and Dad wait too long" Shera said

"All right, I'm saying goodbye."

"Be careful on the road."

Meanwhile at the airport ...

"Hi Brother, thank you for picking us up heheh." joked Elizabeth.

"Say your sister, are you home? You're not usually home." Daniel said.

"I just miss staying with all of you hehehe. Let's go home, let's continue at home" Alfred said.

Throughout the trip, Elizabeth told a lot about her experience of first coming to Singapore. Although the journey taken is quite time consuming but Elizabeth really enjoy it and even plan to visit there again someday.

"Hallo Alfred, where are you now. Don't forget we have an appointment to meet later in the afternoon" Natasha said.

"I'm driving now, I'll call you later" Alfred said.

"You answer first, are we meeting this afternoon?"

"Yes, so that's exactly what I told you yesterday. All right, I'll hang up, see you later."

Alfred then turned off his phone and put it in a bag.

"Who called you? Is Lily?" ask Jennifer."

"Not Mom, that's my client's personal assistant. We'll have a meeting later this afternoon." replied Alfred.

"How's Lily doing now?"

"Hmmm ... Do you want to buy coffee? There is a good coffee shop up ahead. If you want, I'll stop."

"May, you just order some hot kapucino for Mom and Dad."

"Liz, what do you want?"

"I'm just chocolate."

"All right, you guys wait in the car. Let me go out to order."

Meanwhile at Lily's house ...

As soon as she got home, Lily immediately went into her room to take a bath. The plan is Lily will go to apply for a job at Dragon Cafe according to direction from David.

"When waiting for the results of my recording yesterday, there's no harm in me working while at Dragon Cafe. Even being a waitress doesn't matter to me." Lily murmured.

After finishing the bath, Lily prepared to go to the Dragon Cafe.

"Where are you going, Lily?" ask Gwen.

"I'm going to go apply for a job, while waiting for yesterday's recording I'm going to find a job. What matters is there's income for our family."

"I'm sorry Mom and Dad, you have to work like this."

"Mother take it easy, as long as I can still work I will work to meet our needs."

"Mother pray that you can be a successful woman."

"Thank you for the prayer, Mother. All right, I'll go first."

"Be careful on the road, Lily. When you're done, go home, don't go anywhere else."

"Good Mom."

Lily immediately drove her father's car to the Dragon Cafe. Her body felt tired but Lily was still not discouraged.

Arriving at Dragon Cafe ...

"Excuse me, I'd like to see Meghan. Does he exist?" ask Lily to the security guard at Dragon Cafe.

"Have you made an appointment before?" ask the security officer.

"Not yet, but I came upon the recommendation of my friend David. Maybe you can ask Meghan first."

"Well I'll try to call, you wait here first."

Meghan allows Lily to come in and meet her. Without further ado Lily explained at length her intent and purpose of coming to the Dragon Cafe. Because Meghan did know David well, Lily was accepted to work there.

"So when can you start working?" ask Meghan.

"Quickly, now I can." replied Lily.

"Well, you come tomorrow night at 7."

"So I got accepted to work at Dragon Cafe?"

"Yes, you can start work tomorrow."

"Thank you very much."

Lily was excited because she had gotten a new job. Lily bids her go home and tells her Mom and Dad that she has been accepted to work at the Dragon Cafe.
