Episode 22

Tomorrow at Alfred's apartment …

Alfred invited his friends to come to his apartment tonight. Alfred wanted to celebrate the success of his new project. As usual Alfred prepared dozens of beers for them.

Not to forget Alfred invited Lily to come, he immediately contacted Lily.

“Hallo Lily, I plan to invite my friends to come to my apartment. You can come too right?”

“What event did you invite your friends to? You're on your birthday?”

“No, I just want to celebrate my success getting a new project. Can you come tonight?”

“Entai Alfred, I have to work. But if I still have time, I'll come.”

“Alright then, I hope you can take your time to come. I also want to introduce you to my friends.”

“I can't promise you, but I'll make an effort to come.”

“Already, if you can't come also it's okay.”

Alfred hung up the phone immediately because he was upset Lily did not know if she would come or not.

While at Lily's house …

“Surely he was angry with me. Like a child only.” murmured Lily.

Lily then sent a message to Alfred.

“You're mad at me huh? I'm sorry, I have to work to support my family. I beg your understanding.” wrote Lily.

“I'm not mad at you. You don't have to come if you have to work. Tomorrow we meet again.” reply Alfred.

Lily thought about buying a present for Alfred. She contacted Shera to accompany her to buy a gift.

“Hallo Shera.” greet Lily.

“Hallo Lily, what are you calling?” ask Shera

“Are you busy right now?”

“No, I'm not busy. What's up?”

“I want you to accompany me to the mall, I want to buy a gift for Alfred.”

“Alfred birthday today?”

“No, he just got a new project. He's having a party tonight. So I want to buy a gift for her.”

“Alright I will accompany you. Are you coming to pick me up or are we meeting at the mall?”

“I'll pick you up after this. You get ready.”

“Alright, you be careful on the road ya.”

Lily hung up her phone from taking the keys to her father's car in the room. Lily leaves for Shera's house.

20 Minutes' drive, Lily has arrived at Shera's house. David was talking to someone.

“Hai David, Shera is inside right?” greet Lily.

“Hai Lily, Shera is inside. You just come in.”

Lily went inside and went straight to Shera's room.

“Shera, I've arrived. Are you ready?” ask Lily.

“Yes, I'm ready. Let's go now.”

Lily and Shera then say goodbye to David and go straight to the mall to buy presents.

“Actually what project is Alfred working on?” ask Shera.

“Alfred seems to be getting a project to design a hotel. But I don't know I don't really understand.” Lily replied.

The road to the mall this time looks crowded.

“Are you no longer afraid to drive?” ask Shera.

“Yes I was forced to drive because I had to pick you up so you could accompany me hehehe.” joked Lily.

Lily had a car accident about a year ago. And that makes Lily a bit traumatized to drive.

“What do you want to buy for Alfred?” ask Shera.

“The plan is I want to buy a watch for him, what do you think?”

“Good idea. You just buy a watch for Alfred's gift. I'll help you choose it later.”

They both walked to the watch shop. Soon the watch shop clerk was serving them. After a discussion with Shera and aided by the store clerk, Lily chose a black watch for Alfred's gift.

After buying a present for Alfred, Lily and Shera soon return home as Lily prepares to leave for work.

“Thank you for coming with me.” Lily said.

“You don't need to thank me, as with others only.” replied Shera.

Arriving at Shera's house, Lily immediately said goodbye to go home. David was no longer home.

Lily continued on her way home.

“You will be surprised to see me coming tonight, I hope you like the gift I gave you.” Inner Lily.

Arriving home, Lily immediately took a shower and prepared to go to Lion Cafe.

At the Alfred apartment …

Alfred has started arranging food and drinks that will be served to his friends. Alfred ordered pizza, bought some snacks and also a canned drink. Do not forget to also take out a few bottles of beer that he had bought earlier.

I don't think time has shown at 7 p.m. Alfred's friends began to arrive.

“It's been a long time like we're not partying, it's a good time for us to drink together.” said one of Alfred's friends.

“Iya true. Last time we had a drink together at Lion Cafe at your birthday.” Alfred replied.

Alfred immediately opened a beer to drink together.

That night Alfred and his friends spent dozens of beers. Make them drunk.

The doorbell sounded. Walking forward Alfred opened the door. As soon as the door opened Lily was surprised to see Alfred who was already drunk.

“Lily oh Lily you finally came too.” Alfred said.

Alfred then pulled Lily's hand and invited her inside.

“Hi friends do you remember him? He was the singer of Lion Cafe who sang at the birthday event. I'm on a date with him right now.” Alfred said.

Feeling the situation is not good, Lily immediately released the hand of Alfred who had been holding it.

Lily was so upset to see Alfred get drunk like this.

“What's the name?” ask one of Alfred's friends.

“Lily .. This beautiful woman's name is Lily. You must be so jealous of me, right? I can get a woman as beautiful as her.” Alfred said.

Alfred then tried to kiss Lily on the lips. Lily quickly dodged.

“Why don't you want me to kiss? Don't I kiss you often? Come here kiss me.” said Alfred.

Lily who was very angry then slapped Alfred on the cheek. Instantly everything fell silent. Lily felt her pride being lowered by Alfred in the presence of her friends.

Lily threw the gift she bought earlier and immediately left Alfred's apartment.

Alfred's friends who saw Alfred slapped by Lily then laughed at Alfred.

“You sucked so bad, you got slapped and you just kept quiet? You suck so bad.”

“Ahhhh .. You suck. Go all of you! The show is over! I want to sleep!” snapped Alfred.

They then left Alfred's apartment while continuing to laugh at him.

After they left, Alfred took a gift from Lily. Then he walked towards his room while hugging the gift. Alfred opened the gift and then put it on.

Alfred continued to look at the watch Lily gave him while lying on the bed. Alfred was unconscious and cried to sleep.

At Lily's house …

Lily cries in her room because of Alfred's treatment of her. He felt like he had never been disdained like that before. Lily then grabs her phone and blocks Alfred's number and deletes his number.

“I will never forgive what you did this time to me. I thought I would surprise me with my arrival, I didn't think it was me who got the surprise” muttered Lily as she continued to cry.
