Ahsan's Submissiveness

It has been three days that Akhtar has not returned to his home in the foundation complex. He had to stay at a hotel. His meeting with business colleagues from abroad turned out to be not enough one day. Ahsan is currently upset that he has not received any information about Shanum. He himself continued to contact Shanum and send him messages. Too bad Shanum's device is still not active. She tried to contact Liani but her phone was never picked up and her message was never read.

For three days Shanum was in Bogor, he told about his resignation to his family because he felt tired always away from them. His experience of knowing Akhtar and Ahsan was enough to teach him many lessons. But it is impossible if Shanum forbids his sister if she is accepted later.

Since coming to Bogor Shanum directly changed his phone number. He really wanted to eliminate any traces about the people in his past.

"I'm finally in the phase of losing contact with someone who used to make me laugh" Shanum murmured. His mind was glaring at his cooperation with Ahsan.

Ever since Shanum knew Ahsan he realized that Ahsan always made him laugh. Ahsan was always there for her, even though Shanum had tried to avoid her but Ahsan did not give up.

Ahsan is currently on his way back to Bandung. Her heart flowered to imagine her meeting with Shanum later. Shanum usually stays at school. He intends to go straight to the school where Shanum teaches.

Ahsan repeatedly contacted Shanum, but did not connect. The message he sent since a few days ago was still marked with one color of ash that indicates the message has not been sent.

Ahsan was frustrated by himself, during the trip he could not sit quietly. His mind was on Shanum. Worry again enveloped his heart. Fear of similar events that had happened to Shanum a few days ago reoccurred.

He also tried to contact Liani Shanum's close friend, connected but never lifted. Ahsan was getting annoyed, plus Suraya who kept contacting him made him even more furious.

Ahsan ignored Suraya's call, knowing that the mastermind behind Shanum's disappearance that day was Suraya. Ahsan was about to make a calculation with Suraya, but seeing Shanum back in his good state his emotions subsided a little. Plans to meet Suraya were postponed because they had to extend their seminar activities.

At exactly twelve noon Ahsan arrived at the foundation complex. The first place he aimed was the Bina Insani High School education complex. Adhan Dzuhur resounded just as Ahsan reached the school gate. He rushed to the school mosque to perform Dzuhur prayer.

Ahsan spread his gaze around the mosque. After her congregational prayers and dhikr rituals, she went out and sat on the terrace of the mosque. His gaze continued to be fixed on the Akhwat exit hoping that Shanum would appear soon. But after twenty minutes, he could not find Shanum.

Ahsan decided to go to the cafeteria, it was lunchtime. Ahsan thought it seemed like Shanum was already in the cafeteria for lunch.

Arriving at the canteen Ahsan again circulated his gaze looking for Shanum's whereabouts. At the table that Shanum used to occupy, Ahsan only saw Liani and a few other teachers.

With the spirit of four five Ahsan walked towards the table where Liani was. Liani who saw Ahsan's arrival was shocked. He already thought this would happen. Liani racked her brain preparing for the answers to various questions about Shanum that Ahsan would probably throw at her.

"Assalamu'alaikum" Ahsan said when he was near the table Liani and her friends.

"Wa'alaikumsalam" all answered in unison.

"Sir Ahsan!" liani exclaimed nervously, she slightly nodded her head when she looked at Ahsan.

"Where's shanum?" ask Ahsan to the point.

"Huh?" Liani gasped when asked about Shanum's whereabouts in front of her friends.

He looked at his friends one by one as if looking for advice he should answer what. Everyone at the table was silent. They clashed against each other and all ended up staring at Liani.

"It's best to tell the truth" whispered Bu Rahma in Liani's ear. They knew about the proximity of Ahsan and Shanum. Everyone nodded in agreement. Liani was relieved of her decision to tell her the true circumstances had the support of her friends.

"Sir, can we talk at the other table?" ask Liani to Ahsan.

" Okay, you come with me." Ahsan replied, he walked ahead of Liani.

Liani took a deep breath she stood up from her chair and walked following Ahsan. His friends encouraged Liani.

Liani was already sitting on the chair facing Ahsan. Ahsan took her to the back porch of the canteen. He told the canteen clerk that he was going to wear the area because there was something important.

"What's wrong?" Ahsan started the conversation with a serious tone.

Seeing Liani's reaction when she asked for Shanum's whereabouts, Ahsan already thought that something had happened.

"I'm just going to say that Shanum is not here, he's not part of this foundation. A few days ago he officially resigned" Liani passed on the information about Shanum out loud to Ahsan. He hoped that Ahsan was quite satisfied with what he had delivered.

It felt like there was a loud bang that shrieked Ahsan's ears when he heard that Shanum was resigning.

"What's? Shanum resigned?" Ahsan repeated Liani's statement softly after a few seconds she was made silent by the news she heard.

"Yes sir, he decided to resign for a reason. The school also could not prevent because Shanum was accepted by the foundation", Liani explained.

"What was the reason for Shanum's resignation? I don't think it's that easy to resign from this foundation." Ahsan asked full of questions.

As far as Ahsan is concerned, it is not easy to resign from the foundation. There must be a procedure taken by the concerned, and it certainly takes a short time. But why Shanum can be so easy is getting his resignation approval.

"Regarding that, you should immediately find out from the staffing department at the foundation, or....You can ask the Headmaster directly" Liani tried to limit the information he would convey.

Without further ado Ahsan left Liani just like that. He rushed out of the canteen area. His current goal is the principal room of Bina Insani High School where Shanum serves.

Ahsan checked the contacts on his watch, he looked for the name of the person he was going to refer to.

"Assalamu'alaikum" Ahsan said as his phone connected.

"Where is your position now?

"..."

"Okay, I'll be right there, don't go anywhere. There's something important I want to ask you. Assalamu'alaikum." Ahsan hung up the phone without waiting for a response from the person he called.

Ahsan called Malik, he is his best friend who now serves as the principal at Bina Insani High School.

"Assalamu'alaikum" he said as he entered the workspace of Malik, the principal of Bina Insani High School where Shanum taught.

"Wa'alaikumsalam" replied Malik. He greeted his friend kindly.

The two of them sat on the sofa in Malik's room.

"Why did you allow Shanum to resign?" Ahsan directly pointed at Malik with the core question he wanted to ask.

"Shanum?, Ms Shanum?" Malik asked the person Ahsan meant

"Yes, why did you allow him to resign?" Ahsan repeated his question.

"Eummh.because he has a reason the foundation can accept, I am only an intermediary in this matter. I have also persuaded Ms Shanum to abandon her intentions and revoke her resignation letter. But he reasoned that the decision had been considered long ago. I can't refuse and file it with the foundation."

"And it turned out that less than two hours of approval letter for Ms. Shanum's resignation was accepted and approved.
