Goodbye

This morning Shanum was ready with his work clothes on. The hour hand attached to the wall of his dinas house still shows at six o'clock exactly.

Shanum observed every corner of the house, almost two years he occupied this official house . There are a lot of memories going on in that house. She smiled mirroringly in light of the events she had experienced last night and today would be her last day in that house.

All of his personal belongings had been packed as neatly as possible. He also made sure no one was left behind. Liani helped him pack last night. Shanum's return last night became the thing that Liani was waiting for.

Liani did not sleep and continued to monitor Shanum's house. When he saw the lights of Shanum's official house lit up, Liani immediately met him. The novelty had colored their meeting, the events of Shanum's disappearance made Liani very lost and very worried about him.

"Assalamu'alaikum" Liani came up with clothes that were ready to go to school.

Today, Liani will present Shanum to the principal to formally resign. Last night Shanum told Liani everything. Nothing is missed in the least. Shanum told it calmly, he can already control himself and his feelings back, although occasionally Shanum sobbed for holding back tears when telling stories.

Liani couldn't bear to not cry hearing her best friend's story. She is really furious with Suraya and Raina's behavior. It turns out that higher education does not guarantee the good or bad attitude of a person.

What is no less makes Liani furious is when Shanum says that he has forgiven what Suraya and Raina did to him. Shanum understood why they were doing that to him. Everything they do is just a form of struggle to keep hers from being bullied by others.

Shanum asks Liani not to tell anyone what happened to her today. Let him solve this problem himself, he doesn't want anyone else involved. Quite himself is the target of the anger of Suraya and Raina.

"Wa'alaikumsalam" replied Shanum lirih.

"Are you ready?" Liani approached Shanum who was standing in the living room observing every corner of the house.

"Insyaa Alloh" Shanum replied briefly.

"I'm sure you're strong against all this, which I know a Shanum won't dissolve into, when he falls he always has a way to get back up immediately" Liani cheers on her best friend who she believes is not okay at this time.

Liani felt pity, Shanum his best friend again faced a very severe problem. He thought it felt like Shanum did not deserve this kind of ordeal. He was a good person, but why were the tough and tough tests always coming his way.

But back again to the fact, is not life and death itself is a test. Liani realizes that every exam comes to maturing. Right now Shanum is really being formed to become a stronger person in the future.

She herself was very saddened at not being able to do much to help Shanum. Shanum refused when Liani offered to help him report this to the foundation's board of trustees. He did not want Liani's career to end like her. Shanum knew very well who he was dealing with and what they would do if he did.

"Come" Shanum asked.

Shanum and Liani left for school. The principal's room was his current goal. Shanum repeatedly took a deep breath and threw it away slowly. She keeps trying to neutralize her feelings trying to look okay.

To facilitate his resignation in the middle of the semester, Shanum used logical and easy-to-accept reasons. Getting married and following a husband is the exact reason for his current resignation. He did not want to invite suspicion from anyone.

News of Shanum's disappearance last night has spread across the foundation. He knows his resignation will lead to a lot of speculation. Shanum thought the reason for getting married was the one most easily accepted by anyone.

Without having to wait for long, Shanum's resignation was processed. Initially the principal refused his resignation letter, trying to persuade Shanum to cancel it. As long as Shanum joined him at this school he was very much helped. He deeply regrets having to let go of a teacher like Shanum.

But Shanum's decision was unanimous he lied a little by saying everything he had considered in advance and today was the right day for him to resign.

Finally after a long debate between Shanum and the Headmaster, he could no longer prevent Shanum and let Shanum resign from the school he led. In less than twenty-four hours it was confirmed that Shanum would receive a reply to his resignation.

Shanum and Liani left the principal's room with a feeling of relief especially Shanum because the submission of his resignation letter was accepted and will be processed soon. They each walked to their own room. Today is Shanum's last day teaching at the school, he plans to say goodbye to all the students he teaches as well as to all the teachers.

While elsewhere....

Akhtar seemed upset that this morning he had to attend an important meeting at the company. He cursed himself for falling asleep last night while waiting for Shanum. Akhtar and Ahsan both fell asleep and were unaware of Shanum's arrival upon returning to the foundation. It was I who woke them both up.

The first thing they do when they wake up is directly check the CCTV main gate. From the CCTV footage they saw that right after they fell asleep, Shanum got off a car they did not recognize, and that makes the assumption Akhtar and Ahsan related to the disappearance of Shanum masterminded by Raina and Suraya getting stronger because a while before the arrival of the car carrying Shanum seen Raina's car entering the main gate.

So did Ahsan, the intention of the heart wanted to immediately meet Shanum and make sure the news turned out to be mere wishful thinking. He had to represent the university to attend a two-day seminar outside the city. This morning he had to leave.

Even before dusk, Shanum was already at his service home. He waited for nightfall, Shanum would deliberately leave the foundation at night so as not to invite noise because of his departure. He was accompanied by Liani to visit the teacher's official houses one block with him to say goodbye.

Everyone felt lost and sad when they found out Shanum was going to resign. They regretted the foundation had to lose the sepotential teacher Shanum. Although Shanum was among the new teachers in the foundation and this was Shanum's second year of being there but his existence had already contributed greatly to his particular school and foundation in general.

In the recent times Shanum's devotion has borne fruit. In addition to being an accomplished teacher, Shanum is also known as an event organizer and student builder who helps students to achieve achievements in various competency events. No one does not know about Shanum, in his second year of existence at this school he has already contributed many achievements to the school.

Shanum and Liani were chatting in the living room of Shanum's official house where the walls were empty. All the displays that Shanum put up to beautify the room he had packed to be taken to Bogor. There are empty sofas and closets in the room because from the beginning they were there. The foundation gives the official house to the teacher complete with furniture such as sofas, shelves, wardrobes and mattresses.

"Num, don't forget me yes" said Liani with sad intonation, currently they are waiting for the arrival of a car that will take Shanum back to Bogor and transport his luggage.

"God willing, we can still be in touch. Technology is getting more sophisticated now. They can move closer and keep closer. I should have said that to you, you don't forget me." Shanum replied no less.

They both hugged, indicating both of them were equally lost due to this separation.

"If Suraya is not present among you, of course you and Mr. Ahsan are preparing for your wedding, why the hell did he come suddenly and mess it up. Even though Mr. Ahsan had clearly rejected it, he himself died suddenly Mr. Ahsan. And now he just casually came and claimed himself as Mr. Ahsan's lover."

"She didn't think about what it hurt when Mr. Ahsan was left the day before his engagement and now when he has found happiness with you he suddenly comes and messes things up. There are people who are selfish, you don't know yourself, you don't have any shame?" cerocos Liani's. He continued to curse Suraya which he considered very outrageous.

"Hussh.you take care when you say. Not good ghibahin people to his side anymore." Shanum reminded Liani.

"I'm working with him, kesel, kesel with bangettttt...." Liani became anxious herself.

Shanum just shook his head at Liani's behavior.

"If wounds are to be paid for with wounds, pain is repaid with pain, and hate is repaid with hate. How is it different from them?" shanum asked Liani.

Liani was stunned to hear Shanum's question. He looked at his best friend deeply, in his heart he praised his best friend who was always prejudiced against all the things that happened to him. He was proud to have a friend like Shanum.

"A big soul and a big heart, not everyone has. But we can have it by forgiving without being asked and praying for good without his knowledge" Shanum continued.

"I pray that what they hope Allah will make easy to achieve" Shanum said.

Liani permeated every single word Shanum spoke. His heart warms he feels lucky that God has met a good man like Shanum.

At nine o'clock the situation was getting quiet. Some houses in the Bina Insani High School teacher service complex look dark, the sign of the occupants of the house has turned off the lights and stopped their activities to prepare for sleep.

Shanum called the driver's phone number he had ordered. Twenty minutes later there was a roar of cars stopping right in front of the fence of Shanum's official home. He immediately opened the door and got a man down from the car to help Shanum put things into his car.

Shanum and Liani hugged when it was time to part ways. With a heavy heart Shanum finally had to leave his place of work, practicing the knowledge he could during school, in this place Shanum really found his identity as an educator. He not only had the opportunity to share his knowledge but also develop himself into a more competent person.

Not everyone as lucky as him could work in this place. All this time he has been trying to maintain the good name of himself and his place of work. Unlimited totality is real for Shanum. Put the interests of the work above his own.

But fate says something else. As powerful as anything grasped that is not our destiny will surely come off as well. He had to be willing to give up all his dreams when he managed to work in this place. All will be in time.

Tears bear witness to Shanum and Liani's separation. Shanum's hand from the car that was getting away was a sign that the separation was really happening. And Shanum is officially no longer part of the foundation that has raised his name.

Goodbye Bina Insani Kamil foundation, thank you for being a part of my life's struggle, I am proud to have been a part of you." shanum murmured in his heart as the car carrying him passed through the main gate left the foundation complex.
