My name is Demetra Vinda Chairani, 25 years old and a self-employed person. I have a pretty big and famous cake shop in Jakarta. The beginning of my pioneering business began when I was in college I liked to make cakes that I made provisions for snacks during college. My friends who know I always bring cake when I go to college always ask me because I always make a different cake every day. Seeing my friends always give a positive response to my cake, I finally developed my hobby into a source of income by placing my cake in the campus cafeteria. Thank God, it had a positive impact where I was able to make my own money which I made as extra pocket money because I did not want to burden my parents.
I am a regional child from Solo who decided to study at one of the famous campuses in Bogor. My parents who are in Solo routinely send me monthly money because they don't want me to be in trouble while away with them. The delivery from them could be said to be more than enough to meet my daily needs. Since I have aspirations to have my own cake shop, I save money sent from parents to be used as business capital later. I meet the daily needs of the money from the sale of cakes in the campus cafeteria and the scholarship money I get every month. Even though I come from an affluent family, I am still actively looking for scholarships. The scholarship I got is certainly a scholarship for outstanding students because I am one of the outstanding students on campus.
After graduating from college, the money sent by parents who had been saved since college was partly used to buy an apartment and the rest was used as capital to rent a shophouse. For additional capital, I want to borrow money in the bank. I managed to pioneer the business that I dreamed of a long time ago well. My dream cake shop business has grown successfully for 3 years.
After parking the car in front of the shophouse adjacent to the station entrance, I contacted someone who had sent me a message to let me know if I had arrived. Almaira Dewi Latisha or commonly called Tisha is my younger sister and is my only brother who is currently in the final semester of college at the same campus as me. I don't know, he was so obsessed with what I had to do with me, that he would rather go to the same college as me than offer a scholarship abroad.
While waiting for the final hearing, Tisha sometimes stayed in my apartment to help take care of the cake shop. As someone with an IT background, Tisha is responsible for managing the store website. In addition, he is also a freelance at various startup companies. Other people will not believe if my sister is a “” computer handler because her appearance is more suitable as a model.
Overall, we have a pretty similar posture. Me and Tisha are about 165 cm tall. We also have long hair, the difference is straight Tisha hair with caramel brown while my hair is wavy with burgundy color. I love that my kids have long hair. We can only trim it if it is too long and change color when cutting hair. Our faces are also not too much different, only my face shape is more round than Tisha. Besides, I don't have dimples whereas Tisha has them on both of her round cheeks.
Although we have a lot in common physically, my personality and Tisha are quite different. I am the type of person who is very perfectionist, meticulous, and concerned about financial management. Instead, Tisha is a person who looks indifferent and spends more often his money to have fun. Naturally because from school he has used his “girak” skills to make money, and the money made is also not kidding around the amount. Even so, I often remind him not to overuse his money.
Tisha and I complement, love, and protect each other despite our different personalities. Moreover, we live in remote areas and away from parents, I should be able to be a surrogate parent for him while being away from our parents.
“hai mbak” greet Tisha when get in the car.
“hai” reply flat. I changed my sitting position sideways to the left to look at my sister, “you know what?? You're interrupting your break. This week was tired of the deck ngurusin cake shop that was again crowded” protestku annoyed.
“yaahh...sorry deh mbak...” I clicked my tongue when I saw the look of Tisha who pretended to be sorry, “lagian kalo cake shop again solid should mbak tuh refreshing eye wash outside. Not sure what every break in the mulu apartment?”
“gak bosen tuh..buktinya mbak happy-happy aja. Partly nih mbak if you want refreshing do not have to go to the mall also keleus.presuhin film or novel also mood mbak will be good myself” reply me while turning on the car engine and start leaving the shophouse.
“ishh what's the deck..Where are we going? You want to go for a walk, mbak mah ngawasin just so you do not want to shop” my grumbling while getting rid of the hands of Tisha who is still trying to poke my chin.
“hehehe let me not keep going because I ajakin out, we go to Kokas aja deh deket.lagian I have not been there for a long time because of busy thesis. Ntar me all nginep also yes.” said Tisha while fixing her sitting position after teasing me.
I just kept quiet and focused on driving the car to our destination. After parking the car, we got into the mall. I patiently accompanied Tisha who went in and out of the store at will so that it did not feel 3 hours I had walked around the mall accompanying Tisha who was still eager to shop.
“dek, what are you tired of? This foot mbak it feels like you want to escape tau dak daritadi mulu street. How many times have we gone up and down the escalator. This part also has entered the lunch hour tau.and mbak has not prayed as well. Do you not pray what deck?” I complained when I saw my sister was still eager to sort out the clothes that would be brought to the fitting room.
“ihh patient napa mbak.tanggung nih. Ntar I treat deh lunchnya yes.ya.ya” said my sister while putting a clear face on me.
“engga ah.. Anyway this is the last you shop. This Abis we pray trus eat. Mbak just breakfast bread and drink milk fitting in the car doang because. If you are still advanced, mbak stay first” I firmly told Tisha so that she immediately stopped shopping.
“iya-iya deh..This promise is the last. Wait a minute yes mbakku the most beautiful.mmuahh” said spoiled Tisha then kissed my cheek and immediately ran towards the room fittings to choose the right clothes.
I shook my head to see the behavior of Tisha who was no stranger to me. After waiting for approximately 30 minutes, Tisha kept her promise to end shopping today. We walked to the musholla to perform the dzuhur prayer. After the prayer, we looked for a restaurant for lunch. After finding a restaurant, ordering food, and waiting for orders to arrive, I saw Tisha's groceries and my groceries that she had been forced to buy. Not forgetting I reminded him again as usual so as not to be too wasteful in using money.
The food we ordered finally arrived. I was so hungry I saw the food was full of twinkle. Without a second thought, I immediately ate my lunch. Going around the mall for 3 hours makes me flinch to finish my lunch. While eating my lunch, I heard someone calling my name.
“For?? It's Demi right?” call someone whose voice sounds familiar to my ears.
