Conquering Husband

Conquering Husband
Chapter 67 Stuck With You (The End)

Sabrina stood in front of her father's grave after leaving her in-laws' house this morning. For some reason it was not the happiness he brought when he got out of there, but rather the guilt that was now lingering in his heart. In front of him, before he left, Sergio was really begging to be forgiven for his past deeds. His father-in-law humbly apologized to Sabrina. However, Sabrina did not respond with arrogance to the old man. Heart hardens. Past mistakes shut all Sabrina's view of the kindness of the old man who was like his own father.

Maybe that's what makes his heart just restless and not feel happy when he gets his freedom. Before Fabian drove him to Uncle Andrew's house, he asked to be delivered to his father's grave. Suddenly he missed her. Even last night, he dreamed of his father in his sleep.

Sabrina stood staring at a gravestone bearing the name of William Alandro. Alone, because he did not allow Fabian to accompany him. The man who was still her husband was just waiting from a distance not far from where Sabrina was standing at the moment. He just wanted to be alone with his father, as if to complain about the winding journey of his life.

In silence, only tears speak. Telling how heartbreaking and miserable the taste in his chest. As if he could not bear it himself.

Drizzle suddenly came down in the morning because it was indeed since dawn Sydney sky did not show the slightest light. Fabian immediately ran over to Sabrina who was still standing in front of her father's grave. The man swiftly took off his jacket to protect Sabrina's head from the falling water speck. "Come," asked Fabian to leave the tomb immediately. Looking for shelter.

Sabrina looked up a little at Fabian who was protecting her from getting wet.

"We are sheltering there" asked Fabian to point with the look in his eyes because he used both hands to hold a jacket over his wife's head.

Sabrina said she followed Fabian running into a roofed building more akin to a gazebo. "Wait here, I'll take the umbrella first." Fabian came back running after driving Sabrina to a place where she felt she would not get wet. While he went to get an umbrella, because the distance between the tomb and the entrance was quite far. Fabian did not want to make his wife sick from the rain.

"Really, a very good husband" said a woman who first took shelter at the place.

Sabrina who had noticed Fabian's steps had to look at the person who spoke.

"You're so lucky to have a husband who is so caring and loving to you" the woman continued.

"How long have you been married?" ask the woman, maybe to drive away the quiet while waiting for the rain to subside.

Sabrina was actually reluctant to answer, but it would be impolite for her to ignore the questions of those older than her. "Almost five years."

The woman smiled. "Lumayan lama too, and you're lucky your husband still shows such great love at the age of five in your marriage. You must be very happy."

Sabrina remained silent. He does not want to share his family life with strangers. Seeing Sabrina's attitude as if covered by the woman chose to no longer ask. Now he is telling me about his life.

"I'm married too. I live a happy and loving life with my husband. But that happiness must end at the fifteenth age of our marriage." A wistful look suddenly appeared on the face of the woman older than Sabrina.

Sabrina, who had been indifferent, now chose to listen with focus.

"I came here to visit him, today is the day he left me alone." The woman's tears trickle down, given the tragic end of her marriage.

"Where is your other family, your son maybe?" ask Sabrina.

The sad looking woman shrank her tears. He looked at Sabrina and said, "I have no children. I also have no family, I only have Sebastian—name of her husband—someone."

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean me___"

"It's okay, I don't feel offended or anything. I'm fine," cut the woman down quickly.

"I'm sorry" Sabrina said regretfully.

The woman smiled.

"If you may know why your husband died?"

The woman took a deep breath, as if preparing to tell a heavy story. "Killed."

Sabrina. He closed his mouth, asking the wrong question. He was even more sorry to have thrown a question that would have stirred up an old wound in the woman's heart.

"I'm sorry, I don't mean ___"

"It's okay." The woman immediately interrupted Sabrina's guilt.

"I've accepted everything, I've even forgiven my husband's killer" the woman replied without burden.

Sabrina was a little confused by what she had just heard. Her husband was murdered and she forgave her husband's killer?

"You wonder why I'm acting this way?"

Sabrina nodded.

"Everything because I want to be calm in continuing my life, not locked in a past grudge."

Sabrina doesn't understand.

"It was hard at first to accept the fact that my husband was gone, especially if he was the only family I had." The woman began to tell stories.

"I was angry, I cursed the killer for making me lose my husband. I blame God for the fate that happened to me. I even hated and didn't want to know Him. In court I took a vow of vengeance on the murderer of my late husband."

Sabrina was more and more astonished by the story of the woman. But he no longer dared to ask, afraid of mispronouncing.

"My husband was killed by a fifteen-year-old man because he was drunk. At that time, my husband was stopped. The young man had intended to rob my husband, but since my husband had brought nothing that night, the young man vented his anger by killing my husband. I was shocked to hear the news of my husband's death. I'm angry at everyone. I don't want to know anyone anymore. Until the young man's mother came and begged for forgiveness for her son's mistake. I still don't care. Even when the young man's mother offered me kindness to secure my life after my husband died as a form of responsibility for his son's actions. He didn't ask for anything in return. He also did not ask me to drop the lawsuit for the murder. But I keep ignoring."

Sabrina started thinking about the woman's husband's case. Just like the story of his father's death.

"One year I passed in grief. Every day my life is filled with wailing. I did nothing, even to get out of the house I was reluctant. And every day, the young man's mother came to my house to deliver food. I was always angry and yelled at her. However, over time I saw sincerity in the young man's mother's heart." The woman stared fixedly at Sabrina, sharing a dark story in her life.

"I opened the door for her and let her in. And then we started talking not about the hurt I had from losing my husband, but he was telling me about a loving place. He took me to an orphanage. There I met and knew many children, until I decided to stay and serve in the orphanage. Slowly the laughter of the children made the wounds in my heart fade. But there's something I can't forget, my grudge against the young man who killed my husband."

Sabrina still faithfully listened to the woman's story.

"The revenge makes me feel burdened, keeps me locked up in the past. It makes me unable to move forward. One night I went back to God, I begged for mercy and guidance on my way of life. And I found a way to forgive."

Sabrina looked at wonder.

"Yes .. I choose to forgive the young man. For I have not benefited the slightest bit from my resentment and hatred other than the heartache which I can only enjoy myself. I cannot change my destiny. My anger and hatred will not bring my husband back to life. It's God's destiny and path I have to go through."

"Have you forgiven?" chirps Sabrina.

Sabrina stared in admiration at the old woman. A woman with an airy heart who is able to overcome all sadness by forgiving. He also remembered what happened to him. Should he treat his heartache with forgiveness?

"That, your husband is back" said the woman, making Sabrina turn to Fabian.

"Sorry, if you wait too long" said Fabian, who had just arrived. "Come," Fabian asked.

Sabrina turned to the old woman who had been accompanying her by telling a story. "I go first" said Sabrina.

"Go, I still want to be here. I still miss my husband" replied the woman.

Seeing the woman who had accompanied his wife did not bring an umbrella, Fabian took the initiative to give one umbrella he carried to the woman. "Bring this umbrella, maybe you'll need it." Fabian held out a single umbrella that was still folded.

"Thank you" said the woman.

Fabian and Sabrina left the tomb area in a row. Along the way to where his car was parked Sabrina kept staring at Fabian while thinking about every word of the woman he did not know earlier.

Sabrina was sitting in the back seat the same as before. Fabian was at the front as a driver.

"We're going home" Sabrina said as Fabian started the engine.

Fabian who did not understand looked. His forehead was crinkled in a sign he did not understand the meaning of his wife's words. "To the house?"

"Yes, I didn't go to Uncle Andrew's. Let's just go home."

Fabian was still confused as to the true meaning of Sabrina's request. He continued to look at Sabrina as if he wanted a clear explanation.

"Why don't you walk, do you mind if I want to go back to your house?"

Fabian shook his head like a fool.

"Yes is the way," Sabrina jolted.

"You're gonna stay with me?"

"Hmm."

"You're coming back with me?" Fabian was really curious. He should clarify his status now. Don't let him be happy but in fact Sabrina was just joking.

"Let's just say I don't have a choice because that's why I chose to be stuck living with you" Sabrina said.

"really?"

"Already, walk!"

"Yes!" Fabian shouted loudly at what Sabrina said. God finally granted his prayers. Through his wife's heart.

"Until when will you keep smiling. Quickly run the car."

"Of course, Mrs.Ramos." Fabian runs his car with passion. The smile on Fabian's lips continued to expand.

Sabrina who saw that couldn't help but smile despite being shy. He could feel how happy Fabian was with his return. After hearing the story of the woman earlier and weighing all the things that happened. Sabrina chose to follow in the footsteps of the woman. Forgive.

He has forgiven Fabian and he will forgive Sergio. Sergio is a replacement for his father. Give her a new life, make her childhood dreams come true. Married to his monkey love.

Sabrina chose to accept God's destiny with sincerity. God took his father to give him a new family. His father's death was the way for him to find his soul mate.

"Can you be quiet, your voice makes my ears hurt." Sabrina covered her ears as Fabian was unceasingly singing along the way.

"I can't because I'm so happy."

"You can shut up or I'll get down here" Sabrina threatened.

"No ... no. .. I'll stop singing." Fabian shut his mouth. Of course he does not want to be left for a moment after making up.

"I love you .. I love you .. I love you ...." Fabian continued to mutter.

"Hey, what are you doing. I need you to shut up."

Fabian looked over for a moment. "I'm sorry, honey, I can't. I've been telling you not to sing, but this time you can't stop my inner voice. I love you," Fabian refused and continued to mutter.

Sabrina didn't like it. He was just astonished to see the other side of Fabian. He even likes it very much. Fabian's expression of love that he heard every night while accompanying him to sleep. Sabrina just smiled looking at her husband's silly behavior.

"I love you, Sabrina ... I love you," cried Fabian loudly. He glanced at the smile of Sabrina who was in the back seat of the rearview mirror.

Finally, her love story is not so blessed at the green table with divorce. It will start all over from the beginning. Building a home based on honesty. He promised himself that he would love and make Sabrina happy until death do us part.
