Conquering Husband

Conquering Husband
Chapter.20 Who Did It

Fabian turned his head, he found his wife glued to the top of the stairs staring at him.

"Ok, I'll hang up, I'll call you later." Fabian quickly ended his call after seeing Sabrina.

"You ready?" asked Fabian to divert his nervousness.

Sabrina was silent, she did not want to answer Fabian this time. She knew who she was calling her husband after hearing affection for the man across the street. Sabrina continued her steps towards the kitchen without touching Fabian who was still standing looking at her.

The woman began busying herself to look for materials for her to process. Fabian followed him into the kitchen and sat down on the wooden bench available there.

"Are you going to cook?" ask Fabian.

Sabrina flinching. He chose to pay attention to his hearing and continued to take his cooking ingredients. He would make porridge and soup for Aunt May, he thought the menu was suitable for her caregiver's stomach was not healthy.

"Actually I can't stay long, I'll go straight back to Sydney. There's business to be done" Fabian said.

Sabrina who started cutting vegetables, stomped her knife violently on the cutting board. Making Fabian tiptoed, staring spookily at the look of his wife.

"But be calm, I'll leave after driving you to the hospital. Later I will ask Robert to pick you up here" continued Fabian nervous to see Sabrina's attitude.

Sabrina exhaled a rough breath. With one hit, the knife in his hand had stuck in the wooden cutting board that became his impingement. With cold eyes he said, "You don't have to drive me. If you want to leave, leave right now lest I kick you out!" Sabrina.

Fabian was astonished by Sabrina's angry attitude. What's wrong, until his wife is that angry. When it comes to last night, didn't he keep his promise not to do anything.

"Go now, you don't have to bother driving me!" The eyes of Sabrina were still as cold.

"But ...."

"I said go!" cut Sabrina fast.

Fabian rushes to leave Sabrina at her nanny's house. He obeyed his wife's order to get out of there.

While Sabrina, she kept holding back her anger from coming out. Melted tears flooded her cheeks, back she had to swallow the bitter reality if her husband still prioritized her lover.

After being satisfied with her cries, Sabrina quickly finished her cooking and immediately took her to the hospital.

Aunt May who seemed to have improved greeted him with the warmest smile, typical of the nanny. Sabrina put the basketball food she was carrying on the nightstand before she hugged her nanny.

"Where's your husband, isn't he coming?" ask Aunt May.

"She has important business because of which she has to go back to Sidney" Sabrina replied.

"Did you guys fight?"

"No, Bi. We're fine, I asked her to leave first because I still have to take care of Auntie here."

Aunt May smiled at Sabrina who was so considerate of her. Although the status of this young woman is Nonanya, but Sabrina already considers her family, even with her who considers Sabrina like her own daughter. Because they complement each other. Sabrina who lost her parents and herself who now live without relatives.

"Auntie wants to eat, I make porridge and soup for Auntie." Sabrina took the food basket and opened it. The fragrance from the soup broth she cooked stirred up Aunt May's appetite. Sabrina deftly prepared the meal and slowly fed Aunt May who still looked weak.

"Sabrina, some time ago Mr. Andrew was looking for you. He called me because your phone couldn't be reached, there was new news about Mr. Alandro's accident" Aunt May said after finishing her meal.

"I mean Aunty?"

"To be honest, Mr. Andrew and I don't believe Mr. Alandro's accident was due to Mr. Alandro's drunken condition after dating the paid woman."

Sabrina frowned her forehead deepening.

"I know Mr. Alnadro very well, and how faithful and loving he is to your mother. For years she chose loneliness and took care of you for the sake of her love for Madame Gabriela. Therefore, Mr. Andrew and I secretly investigated the accident. Some time ago, Mr. Andrew told me that Mr. Alandro was not in a state of drinking alcohol when the accident occurred. This fact was deliberately hidden by someone we believe was involved in the accident case" Aunt May said.

Sabrina's eyes were perfectly rounded. He did not expect, the case that had long been closed and buried as bad memories now re-emerged to the surface. They are asking for more attention from him and the people around him.

"Then who is the one who harmed my father?" ask Sabrina.
