Bakoh Shoulder

Bakoh Shoulder
Chapter 24. Ervin's Kindness

Thirty thousand, and Teguh had promised to bring home bread for Ayu. While he knew very well, all the cakes in the storefront had more bandrol than the money he had.

He looked at the rationed box rice for the employees at lunch hour. There is an egg balado and potato parchment as a companion. They have no intention of eating it. Remembering Ayu's shadow with her innocent face eating only with instant powder broth made Teguh unappetizing.

"Why mas? How not to eat? Would you like to take her home again?" Just working a few days with Teguh, Ervin has started to memorize the habits of his colleagues.

"Yes Vin. I am sad with my son. She's at the diner just using masa_ko, I can't bear to eat this food. Let's make my son at home." Steady staring at the tightly closed box of rice.

Ervin who was greedy eating rice various side dishes in front of him also carried away the atmosphere. He swallowed the rice in his mouth.

"Masa_ko us? Mas Teguh nyetok masa_ko for his son? Don't be given a lot of micin mas, not good for the growth of children." Ervin asked not to be cornered.

"Heeh is not so, he himself bought it at the Vin stall. I also just found out this morning when he wanted to bring supplies to school. He said he had brought rice mixed with salted spices.. Vin, I'm a parent who feels useless. Make the need to eat children, I have not been able to suffice." Firmly share a little grievance with his coworkers.

"Yes Allah.. Sorry I don't know. Kirain mas Teguh accidentally nyetok micin at home."

"Mas, your rice is eaten. Don't worry about your son, later I won't go to the pantry take two boxes of rice that are still nyisa earlier. Not rice leftover mas people but, emang there are two boxes left no one wants. Want mas?" Continue Ervin who directly sipped water in a bottle of packaging.

"Well, who wouldn't want to take Vin? But.. I'm not good with the others Vin.. Don't have to. Let this be for Ayu."

"Buddy Efa. He always got two. Today he did not enter. The tension he went up times, it was a grumpy person mulu anyway hahaha." There was no worried look that Ervin showed when giving information about the Efa budhe who did not go to work.

"Eh.. Budhe Efa is sick? Oh God..."

"O Allah is pleased, O hahaha.." Ervin just laughed.

"Take it first. Abis was using my motorbike, go home for a while to berganterin his name. Afraid of getting stale if you wait until late afternoon. Even today the order dikit, not Teguh mas who nganterin also will not scream it cake. Later let me change the task of teguh mas first if there is an order that requires me to go down the mountain."

Stare fixedly in disbelief. Ervin, the person he just met can be this good to him.

"Thank you Vin.. May Allah repay all your kindness many times."

"Yes yes.. Don't want to see me. I'll take it first."

Ervin walked towards the pantry. Unexpectedly, it turns out that in a world that is starting to be not okay, there are still people who are sincere with the goodness offered to the surrounding, Ervin for example.

As usual after the bel sign of the end of the lesson rang, Ayu and many students in SD Negeri 01 Jatipta scattered out from their respective classes. After half a day at school, those innocent faces had the same desire. Go home.

Ayu was the same, she moved her feet out the school gate. Unlike his other friends, Ayu did not even glance at the vendors of drinks or snacks lined up neatly outside the school area. He knew if approaching one of the sellers with a cart or motorcycle as their place to sell, there must be a desire to buy. If that intention or desire appeared, the only thing he could do was look, be quiet, be still, sometimes also just smile wryly imagine if he is one of the buyers who queue to get snacks that want to be purchased.

Why would such a small boy be able to refrain from whining for this and that like children his age? By circumstances. Ayu trained from childhood must be able to resist his wishes due to circumstances. His father is not a man of his own. He could eat rice every day and he was very grateful. Because sometimes, if his father is not having any money at all to buy rice, cassava or yam will be a booster stomach that continues to sound because of hunger.

"Yu, Ayu.." A familiar voice. A line of smiles was real when Ayu saw her father was sitting on a motorcycle. I don't know who. Ayu was still happy to see her father in the row of parents who picked up her friends.

"Father.. Did you pick Ayu up?" A question he himself already knew the answer to.

"Yes. Home now?" Powerful start the motor.

How happy Ayu is right now. It's not that his dad picked him up on a motorcycle, it's not that. But, he just found out.. It was like being picked up by parents when they came home from school. From first grade to almost third grade, Ayu used to go home alone. Sometimes there are those who invite him home together but Ayu always rejects him.

"Bad is home.. You're truant again? Later scolded by the boss's mom." Ayu enjoys being driven by a motorcycle by his father like this. The breezy air hit the skin, no heat means that pierced the skin. He loved riding the bike.

"So Mr. Yu's permission. I'll be back at work again." Teguh replied with a nod of understanding by Ayu.

It didn't take long, they got home. The moment the bike stopped there, Vera's dislike gaze immediately greeted them.

"Now besides Kere also have new skills, please! I don't know whose motor it was that was helped. If you are poor, you can do anything to survive!" Syndir Vera hard.

"Don't yu. This bike has a father. Let's go in."

"Yu.. It's in the eating. I went home for this. Also.. You want bread, you can only buy toast.. These.. I bought it in front of your school." Imbuh Firm.

Not playing with Ayu. He even jumped up to the excitement.

"Waaaah sir.. It's really delicious. There's eggs, there's side dishes.. What is this, sir? Ayu likes... It's like an omelet." Ayu had never eaten potato parchment before.

"That's a potato nduk perk.. Abisin yes.. There's still one more. You take a drink, do not have to rush to eat it, later sprains."

Today.. Because of Ervin's kindness, a child named Ayu can feel the pleasure of eating with a balado eggplant and potato patio. Food menu that is not every day can Ayu eat. Even for the potato paste, Ayu ate it this time. With a plain face the hand stuffed bribe-by-bribe rice into his mouth.. The hue of happiness was etched clearly there.
