"Welcome" I politely said to the cafe's visitors. "What do you want to order, brother? This is the menu available here," I said while putting a ledger containing a menu of various foods and drinks.
The visitor said something to his friend, and then turned to look at me. "Can we have a look?" ask the visitor.
"Yes, of course, please look around first, later you can call us if you have chosen the order," I said politely and went to the cashier leaving the two of them busy flipping through the cafe menu book.
I was sitting at my cashier's desk. I watched the crowd of people passing in front of my cafe. The sound of motorbikes and cars sounded very noisy, because the walls of my cafe were not soundproof.
Both of my eyes were glued when a luxurious car stopped in front of my cafe. I saw the figure of the man opening his car door carefully and getting out of his car. He was wearing a red shirt and shorts that made him look like a rich man.
The man was Sally's ex, she smiled sweetly revealing her dimples. He gave the smile to Sally who also emerged from his luxury car. Sally smiled happily while chatting with the man. A laugh came out of Sally's mouth.
I shook my head to dispel my negative thoughts that were starting to bounce everywhere. I looked back at them from my cashier's seat. Sally looked very excited about talking to the man. And I saw the gazes of both their eyes had many meanings. Do they still like it? Or is their relationship just friends? Don't think weird.
"Boy!! My mother!! My mother!!" visitors to my cafe called out to me many times in an annoyed tone.
"Oh yes sorry, what's wrong?" I asked who still imagined Sally and her ex-boyfriend who was busy telling stories.
"Well, I make it immediately, please wait a moment well," I said with a smile to the visitor.
After I finished giving the order to the visitor I again saw Sally who was still fun to tell the man. I took a deep breath when I saw him. There was a sense of tightness that suddenly appeared in my chest. But on the other hand, I thought that I was jealous of that man, because he seemed to have a love that only Sally was attached to.
I was shocked when I realized that Sally was starting to walk in here. I don't want to get caught looking at him. However, the sharp gazes that emerged from both of his eyes made my body feel stiff. Immediately I picked up the washcloth that was near me. And when the door opened I immediately turned around and acted like I was cleaning the table.
Sally looked at me in wonder. I try not to care. "Isn't that table clean? So what else is in cleanup?" asked Sally with a wrinkled forehead.
I grumbled in my heart, Dev!! Why are you acting so stupid like this? I dare not raise my face that still looks red.
"That's right, there was a bit of dirt," I replied coldly as I continued cleaning the table and dared not look at it.
"Isn't the table clean, huh? So, why clean again?" asked Sally with a wrinkled forehead. The movement of my hand to clean the table stopped instantly.
