A Wound

A Wound
chapter 4's

The next day in accordance with his promise, Bima came to Ara's house to pick up Ara while asking permission on Ara's parents to bring out her daughter.

Tok.dok..

“Assalamualaikum!” bima said greeting after someone opened the door.

“Waalaikumsalam! find who?” tanya Bi Ratih, the housekeeper at Hartono's house.

“Their are there, Bu?”

“Oh, Neng Ara, yes. Let's go in first I'll call.” Bi Ratih swiftly invited his master guests to come in and sit down before rushing to call Ara in his room.

And after knowing the arrival of Bima from Bi Ratih, Ara immediately tidied up her appearance and then came down to Bima.

“Mr!” greet Ara, “wait yes, sir I call my father first,” he said then passed looking for the whereabouts of his father after getting a nod from Bima.

And after a few minutes, Ara came out holding her father's hand. And Bima who saw the coming of Ara and her father quickly stood up from her seat, welcoming the two.

“Dad, this is Ara lecturer, Pak Bima,” said Ara introduced.

“Bima, Om!” he said introduce himself and shook Hartono's hand.

Hearing Bima who called him Om, Hartono could understand that the arrival of the man to his house was not as a lecturer of his daughter, but as a man, who might like his daughter.

“Oh yes, please sit,” said Hartono flat. “What's up, Mr Bima?” tanyanya mince words, because in fact he already knows the future intentions of the man from his daughter.

“Begini, Om, I want to ask permission to invite Dara out,” said Bima nervously, feeling disinclined at the middle-aged man in front of her. And I don't know why his heart rate is getting faster he can't control right now.

“If I may know, where are you going?”

“We're just going to the mall, Dad! Ara wants to accompany Pak Bima to buy a gift for his friend who will be birthday,” replied Ara preceded Bima.

Bima's eyes glared at Ara's reply, then then lowered her head. “Jeez, why should he say that reason!” inner Bima, felt very embarrassed to stare at Hartono.

“Really?” asked Hartono with a small smile. Seeing the behavior of Bima who did not dare to look at him, made him feel sure that it was only the wits of his daughter's lecturer.

“You know, Ara, your mother also used to accompany me to buy gifts for my father's friends who are having a birthday,” continued Hartono who ended with laughter because he saw Bima who was getting wrong.

“Really, Dad? Do you also have no female friends other than mother?” ara asked innocently, and managed to make her father chuckle.

“Gosh this boy, how could he be that innocent, Bima's inner” feel anxious at the girl before him.

“Why are you laughing? Is there anything funny?” tanyanya then turned her eyes to Bima who seemed ordinary just like her.

Hartono slowly stopped his laughter and stroked his daughter's head covered in a headscarf. He was not surprised anymore with the innocence of his daughter, it was all probably because he was too restrictive of his daughter's association.

“Ya leave! But remember to go home not until night.” Hartono affirmed his words to the man sitting before him.

“Iya sure, Om.”

“Father ngaco deh, who also went to buy gifts from morning until evening.” Answer Ara ketus. “Ya Ara said, Well,” he added then grabbed his father's hand and kissed him. “Come, Sir!” take Ara to BIma and then pass her by.

“Then I say goodbye, Om. I promise to keep the princess, Om,” said Bima then kissed the back of Hartono's hand.

“Yes, you guys be careful. You see him so innocent, so I hope you treat him well,” Hartono said with emphasis. “Ethat he is plain or indeed stupid,” he added smiling bitterly at the back of his beloved daughter who walked out.

“No, Om. Dara including a smart child on campus,” Bima objected.

“If it is clear, he nurunin genes of his father,” replied Hartono at the end with laughter. “Ya has left there, be careful to bring the car. Remember, don't be late, if it's too late I won't give permission a second time."

“Yes, Om sure. Then I say goodbye, Om, Assalamualaikum!”

Hartono smiled at the departure of Bima's car. No he denied he liked the figure of the young man who brought his daughter. If it is true that Bima likes her daughter, she only hopes Bima is really sincere and can accept all the shortcomings of her daughter.

After being in the car, Bima continued to smile considering the last words of Ara's father who seemed to have given her the green light. Though since then he had been very worried that the father of the girl he liked did not accept his arrival.

“Bapak why smile for yourself?” tanya Ara broke the silence in the car. He was waiting for the lecturer to start a conversation, but it seemed that the lecturer was busy with his own thoughts, making Ara feel strange with his behavior that continued to smile for no reason. He made himself dare to ask.

“Hahaha..no, I'm just happy to be out with you,” she replied, making Ara smile clumsily.

“You know, I was so nervous dealing with your father, I thought your father was creepy like the ones in the movies, but he turned out to be very nice," he added.

“Really?” Ara smiled at the praise Bima gave her father. “I wasn't sure I was going to get permission from my dad either, because dad always forbade me from going out with men. But I don't know why today I allow, maybe because of the lecturer Ara kali ya!” he said he frowned and seemed to think.

“Maybe my face looks trustworthy, so your father allows,” he said confidently.

Ara momentarily looked at the lecturer beside her, searching for the truth of the words she had just heard, before turning her eyes back to the street in front of her. “Iya just might.” It was only that word that he could spit out in response.

Although he was actually a little amazed by the handsome face of his lecturer, but he could not dare to linger staring at him. He also had to limit the words that would come out of his mouth. A little bit could be worth a threat, he thought.

After a few minutes, they finally arrived at one of the big malls in the capital. After Bima managed to park his car, both of them went down, then entered the mall.

“So where were we, sir?” ask Ara.

“Isn't it your job to specify?” bima replied smiling.

“Ah Yes, Sir. I forgot.”

Actually Ara was also a little confused to buy what gifts, he was afraid that later his choice would not be liked by his lecturer friend.

But he had told Bima to give his opinion if indeed he did not like his choice. And after getting a nod from his lecturer, he began to enter one of the clothing stores there.

One, two, three, until some of the clothing stores they visited were none of them liked by Bima, making Ara feel a little annoyed with her lecturer.

“This is actually Mr. Bima what he wants, if indeed the gift for his lover why not all buy a diamond, or wedding ring may be better.” His inner being was irritated, glancing at the man who was currently walking beside him.

Ara then tried to take Bima to the shoe store, but when Bima said she did not know the size of her female friend's feet, made Ara undo her intentions and turn to the store that sells various kinds of women's bags.

Just like before, Bima continued to reject anything that Ara chose for her. Until Ara wasted her rough breathing feeling very tired with the behavior of Bima who continued to reject her choice.

“Ya that's it,” said Bima quickly pointed to the bag that was in Ara's hand grip.

Seeing Ara who seemed to have looked tired, making Bima quickly choose the origin of the bag in Ara's hand. He was afraid that the girl would get upset and not want to go out with him anymore.

“It's almost 2 hours, sir, how about we pray first before going home,” said Ara after seeing the clock on his wrist.

“Iya may, but after praying we eat first yes, before going home,” said Bima offers, trying to hold Ara so that it can be longer with her. And after Ara agreed to his invitation, they then prayed in the mosque that was in the mall.

After performing the prayer, they then decided to eat in the food court area in the mall only.
