A Wound

A Wound
Chapter 20's

Hartono has been transferred to the ICU. Various kinds of aids have been installed on his body.

Arumi and Rissa are still faithfully accompanying Ara at the hospital until night. Likewise, Ibra, who was originally going out with her friend, had canceled her plan and preferred to accompany her brother's friend.

Although Ibra was initially very upset with Rissa, but after seeing Hartono's condition that severe, made him feel pity.

He was very familiar with the middle-aged man who was currently lying stiff on top of the gurney. Because he used to always visit Ara's house to pick up Rissa. And because of the frequent there, made him become familiar with Hartono, who always invited him to talk.

Ibra continued to look at Ara, who continued to stand looking at her father from behind the glass. Staring at the girl's sad face, made her feel even more compassionate towards the girl.

Ara who had been daydreaming looked at her father, stopped her daydream and walked over to her two best friends.

While walking to his two best friends, he accidentally saw Rissa who was yawning.

"Rissa!" call Ara.

"Yes?" answer Rissa quickly.

"It's late, you better go home. You must also be very tired" he said, trying to smile.

"Ah, not really. I'll accompany you here."

"It's okay, there's Arumi and Bi Ratih accompanying me. You go home first, you can come back later .... After all, aren't you interning at this hospital, so you can come here every day."

"But ...." Rissa no longer knew what to say in order to accompany her best friend. Although he was actually very tired.

"Sister Ibra must also have been very tired all day here," added Ara, turning to look at Ibra and throwing a smile at the man.

The deg!

There was a strange sigh that Ibra felt when she saw Ara's smile. The smile that looked was very reassuring, even though there was a lot of sadness in it.

Just now Ibra wanted to respond to Ara's remarks, but the words from Rissa, made her cancel her intention.

"All right, then I'll go home. I'll come again tomorrow." Rissa approached Ara and hugged her. "You're patient, don't cry anymore. You know, it's so sad to see you like this."

"Yes, I promise you will be strong." Ara returned the hug of her best friend, and did not forget to say thank you.

"Okay, I'm home. Arumi, look after Ara, okay?" rissa's pinta to Arumi, who later agrees.

After Rissa told the two, Ibra did the same.

"Thank you, brother. I'm sorry to bother you, Brother" Ara told Ibra.

"Yes, no problem. You are patient." Ibra stroked Ara's shoulder, before finally moving in her steps to get out of the room.

Ibra has helped Ara to get a room that she can use to rest in the hospital. That's all because the hospital where Hartono is being treated is currently a hospital belonging to Ibra's family of friends. And Ibra had asked her friend for help to provide a room that Ara could rest in. At least so that the girl does not need to go back and forth to her house.

Ibra doesn't know why she cares so much about him.

After the departure of Rissa and Ibra, Ara again stood behind the glass, looking at her father's body.

Her tears just fell, every time she looked at her father's face. It never crossed his mind about what happened to his father today.

Fear has enveloped his heart and mind. Seeing the condition of his father lying in a coma, made him very afraid of losing the middle-aged man.

"Dad..wake up. Don't be like this, don't scare me." she said in her tears.

Bi ratih who was standing by his side, just kept wiping the girl's back, and repeatedly asked her to be patient.

"Ara's not hungry, Bi."

"But at least Neng Ara had to charge up. You'll scold me when you know I let your daughter not eat all day."

"Yes, we'll eat, Bi," Arumi said. He was also very worried about the condition of Ara's body. His best friend was not as strong as he was when faced with problems.

"Eat first, I'll pray first." Ara spoke without taking her eyes off. Then move from where he stands at this moment.

"Then we pray first, Bi. Auntie did not need to worry, after praying I would force her to eat," Arumi told Bi Ratih, then followed Ara's steps that had gone first, towards Mushollah.

After performing Islamic prayers, it does not necessarily make Ara move from its current place. Without removing the face she was wearing, she bent her knees, hugged her while dropping her face on her knees, and shed her tears again there.

Today was a hard day for him. Even breathing was difficult for him. Many times he hit his chest to relieve the tightness that lodged there.

Arumi who saw Ara who kept sobbing, could not hold back her tears. He slightly moved his body and hugged his friend.

"Don't be like this. I'm sure Dad will be fine, Dad will be back to health as usual. We must continue to pray for your recovery" Arumi said.

"Are you going to leave me like a mother?"

Arumi shook her head, "no! Dad is very strong. I'm sure Dad will survive. He'll come back to us." Arumi tightened her embrace. Actually, he was also as afraid as Ara, if what his best friend said was true happened.

"Father strong ... Dad must be strong. You have to trust me." Arumi asserted.

Ara nodded her head, then returned the embrace of her best friend.

"You eat yes, I will feed you" Arumi said, taking the food Bi Ratih had prepared.

Now they were in the room Ibra had shown him, where they rested.

"No, I'll eat alone" Ara refused.

"No. Let me bribe you. If you eat alone, it'll be a long time."

"Yes, it's up to you" replied Ara, relented.

They finally ate a plate of both. With Arumi who took turns to feed Ara with herself. Ara kept asking her best friend to stop bribing her, but Arumi did not let her until the food on her plate.

Bi Ratih who saw the scene continued to smile. He felt very happy, there was still someone who cared so much about his master's son.

After finishing her meal, Arumi cleaned up the leftovers on the table with the help of Bi Ratih.

"Neng, later the prayer here, I have brought the faith," said Bi Ratih.

"Yes, Bi. Thanks, Bi. Aunty's eating?" ask Ara.

"Yes, Neng. Aunt is still full. Auntie, don't think about it. Auntie, if you're hungry, without being told to, you're gonna have to eat." Bi Ratih's reply made Ara smile faintly hearing him.
