A Wound

A Wound
Chapter 19's

A handsome, tall man walked out of his room and descended the stairs in a hurry.

"Ibra.." the call of the middle-aged woman stopped the man, named Ibrahim Nahar Fachary.

"Yes, Ma?" saith.

"Where are you going?" mama Reta asked who was none other than the mother of Ibra.

"Ibra has a show with friends, Ma."

"You didn't have breakfast?"

"It doesn't seem like it, Ma. Ibra's gonna have breakfast outside."

"But before you go, you pick up your sister first huh," pinta Mama Reta.

"Where's the car?" ask Ibra.

"Get into the workshop" replied Ryan, Ibra's father's assistant, who happened to pass by there.

"Why didn't you pick her up?" ibra asked his father's assistant.

"Unless you want to see him angry is unclear." Ryan laughed remembering the boss' daughter, who hated him so much.

Ibra clucked then turned to her mother, "yes it's fine. Just trouble!" ibra replied annoyed, then passed out of her house.

Ibra runs her car at high speed, she has to hurry. Otherwise, his friends would have kept contacting him, and it bothered him a lot.

Marissa, Ibra's sister is a final-year medical student. He is currently interning at a major hospital in the capital to complete his education.

And last night he got a picket night. And she should have come home this morning, so Mama Reta told her son to pick her up.

After successfully parking her car in front of the hospital, Ibra grabbed her phone, intending to contact her sister, to tell her whereabouts at this time.

But he was made even more upset when his sister's mobile number was inactive.

"Gosh, where is he?" he then got off his car.

Ibra looked at the hospital in front of her. The hospital that should belong to the family of his friend.

Ibra was throwing her breath rough. He doesn't even know where his sister's room is. He was very lazy to look for the whereabouts of his sister.

I want him to ignore the request of his mother, but he was very lazy if he had to constantly hear the maki scolding of the middle-aged woman.

Ibra moved her feet quickly, not wanting to waste any more time.

Armed with instructions from a receptionist, Ibra walked down the hospital hallway to the room occupied by interns, including Rissa, his sister.

"Sister..." A call from someone he knew, made Ibra stop her footsteps, and look annoyed at a girl who ran over to him.

"You are, why is your phone inactive?"

"Lpbu lowbatt... Why is sister so long?"

"Don't say much, let's hurry!"

"I've been with my sister since, I feel so tired... Ahhh I can't wait to soak, then sleep in my soft bed." Rissa continued to chatter while following her sister's footsteps.

"I will lock my bedroom door so that no one will disturb my sleep, including my sister and my mother" he added.

"Grottling!" Ibra shook her head, feeling dizzy as she continued to hear her sister's babbling.

As she was about to leave the hospital, Rissa stopped her steps, as her eyes caught a woman she knew crying while running hastily into the hospital.

"Ara."." he was shriveled, who then intended to follow the woman's steps.

"Where are you going?" Ibra quickly pulled her sister by the hand, when she saw that Rissa was about to return to the hospital.

"It looks like Rissa saw Rissa's friend, sister."

"Then?"

"I'll make sure of it."

"No! You know, I'm in a hurry right now" Ibra said.

"Yes, he's gone, if you want," he said looking at his brother. And when he realized that the man who was six years old from him would respond, he first gave a warning, "but remember I'll report to mama," he added threateningly, then passed away his brother.

"Shit!" as if Ibra is upset.

How could his sister be so annoying. But despite his annoyance, he still followed his sister's footsteps.

After asking the receptionist, Rissa finally found out that the woman was the daughter of the accident victim who was currently in the operating room.

From a distance, Rissa could already see a hijab-wearing woman who was bowed while continuing to cry in front of the operating room.

Rissa further quickened her pace and approached the woman.

Ara raised her head, when she heard someone say her name. And he grew sobbing when he saw a woman he knew standing before him.

Ara quickly stood up and hugged Rissa, who was her closest friend at High School.

"Rissa, Dad..." Ara continued to sob in the arms of her best friend.

"What's wrong? What's going on?" rissa asked as she continued to rub Ara's back.

"Father accident."

"How can you?"

Ara let go of her embrace, shaking her head, "i don't know either, I just found out Dad was in an accident when he got a call from the hospital." Ara continued to wipe away her tears that were unceasingly falling.

"Well, we'll wait, we'll pray that your father is okay." Rissa grasped both hands of Ara, intending to give strength to her best friend.

Ara just nodded at Rissa's words, she really wished that her father was okay.

Rissa then led Ara to sit on the bench in front of the operating room. And do not forget to say sentences that might strengthen his friend.

Actually Rissa is the older sister of Ara High School time, they began to get along when Ara first entered school. Because Rissa was so good to Ara during the orientas, making them both close and friendly for two years. Until Rissa finishes school.

Because the age difference of just a year makes the two look the same age when walking together. Plus Rissa who never wanted to be called a sister by Ara, because it made her sound very old.

Ara stared blankly at the floor she was on right now. Since then he felt very anxious when his father's operation felt very long, making all bad things come to his mind.

The touch from Rissa made Ara come to a realization. He smiled at Rissa who was still faithfully accompanying him since then. He then turned his eyes to the man who had been standing not far from them.

He knew that the man was the older sister of the woman currently sitting next to him.

After a while, the operation was finally completed. And Ara quickly got up from her seat, waiting for the door of the operating room to open.

"How's my dad doing, Doc?" ara asked impatiently, as she saw a doctor and several nurses coming out of the room.

"For a while the patient has not been conscious, but he has already passed his critical period."

"But he's okay, isn't he, Doc?" ask Rissa.

"You can come into my room, I'll explain the patient's condition in my room."

After agreeing to the doctor's request, Ara and Rissa are currently in the doctor's room.

The doctor begins to explain Hartono's condition of brain death, caused by a severe brain injury.

And most likely Hartono will be in a coma due to swelling or bleeding of brain tissue that makes the brain in his skull becomes squeezed and his brain is experiencing a fairly strong pressure, which is quite strong, so that causes the oxygen flowing to his brain to be inhibited.

Lack of oxygen in his brain makes his brain performance disrupted. Causing his brain can not remove liquid or toxic substances out of his body. This led to a fluid buildup in Hartono's brain. And this condition is what makes Hartono likely to fall into a coma.

Ara who heard the doctor's explanation kept crying in Rissa's arms.

"But there's still a chance of recovery, right, Doc?" ask Rissa.

"Yes, you don't have to worry, we will do our best to heal Mr. Hartono" the doctor said.

"All right, thanks, Doc. Then excuse us" said Rissa, taking Ara out of the room.

"You're patient, I'm sure your father will be fine. I knew Om Hartono would be strong" said Rissa calmly.

"Stop crying, I'm here, okay?" he added, who then re-hugged Ara who was unceasingly sobbing.

"Ara.." call Arumi who ran over to her best friend.

"Where's Dad? How's he doing?" arumi asked frantically, while adjusting her breath that was panting.

Without answering Arumi's question, Ara hugged her best friend. And she spilled her tears back there.

Arumi slowly pushed Ara's body, "what's up? What the hell is going on? " ask Arumi who is getting impatient. "Answer!" Arumi shook Ara's body, hoping that her best friend would give her an explanation.

"It's very likely that Om Hartono will go into a coma" replied Rissa.

"You mean?" Arumi stared fixedly at the woman he knew was Ara's best friend during High School.

Rissa then explained in outline the condition of Hartono's body. And that made Arumi stunned.

He never expected the condition of the middle-aged man he called the father, could be that severe.

Arumi turned her gaze to Ara, "how could this happen?" he asked, but Ara only answered him with a slit.

Until now, he also did not know the cause of his father's accident.
