A Wound

A Wound
Chapter 37's

Ara spends her days talking to Mama Reta and Rissa. And at this moment he had prepared to go to sleep, having already cleared himself. Meanwhile, Ibra who came out since this afternoon, has not returned until now.

Ara who was sitting on the edge of the bed thinking about where she would sleep, was surprised by the arrival of Ibra.

"Are you going to sleep?" ask Ibra.

"Yes!" Ara stood up from her seat and stepped slightly away from Ibra's bed.

He felt so ashamed that he was caught sitting on the man's bed.

"Yes, then rest. I'm gonna take a shower first." Ibra rushed into the bathroom, having previously picked up a change of clothes in her closet.

After finishing her bath, Ibra came out of the bathroom fully clothed. A knee-length boxer and a t-shirt were attached to his body.

"Why not sleep?" ibra asked, when she saw Ara who was still busy with her phone on a sofa.

Without him knowing, if the cellphone in the woman's grasp is just a diversion, from the confusion, where he will sleep.

"Yes, it's going to sleep." Ara then stood up from her seat, and walked towards the bed, grabbed a pillow that was still neatly arranged there and led her to the sofa.

"What are you doing?" ibra asked, linking her eyebrows together.

"I'm going to sleep here" answered Ara.

"Don't. Your body will hurt if you sleep there. We'll share the bed. And I promise I won't touch you" Ibra said.

"No what. The sofa is also very soft," he said, while pressing the sofa.

"Didn't you trust me?" he said, looking at the woman.

Ara who was disinclined by the gaze that Ibra gave her, immediately shook her head, "ah, no! Yeah, well, we'll sleep together."

Ara grabbed back the pillow she had placed on the sofa, and brought it back to the top of the bed.

Ibra walked towards the bed. At the moment he was very tired, and wanted to immediately rest his body.

Before lying down, he looked at Ara who was still sitting on the side of the bed, like he was thinking about something.

"Sleep! I won't do anything to you.... You can also open your headscarf when you are in the room. Am I not now your husband?"

Ara was slightly stunned hearing the man's words. However, she also obeyed all her husband's words.

After seeing Ibra lying down, with her back, Ara slowly removed her headscarf and laid her body beside the man. With positions that both turn back to each other.

Ara repeatedly turned her body, trying to find a comfortable sleeping position. It's so strange to sleep in the same bed as a man. Until finally he intends to try the position that he has been avoiding.

He slowly turned his body to face Ibra. He stared at the man's back. Thinking about how he ended up in a marriage bond with the man. Really, never imagined by him, before.

While being engrossed in her daydreams, Ara was made to gasp as Ibra turned her body to face her. Makes his heart beat fast. But he felt a little relieved when he saw Ibra's eyes that remained closed.

He then turned his body toward the ceiling of the room, holding his chest, which was still pounding.

"Why not sleep?"

Ara was made even more surprised when she saw Ibra's eyes that turned out to be wide open. And without answering her husband's question, Ara immediately turned her body, turning her back to the man. I feel so ashamed of his behavior. Makes Ibra laugh at him.

"How can I hold back when he's next to me."

This time, Ibra really regretted her decision to sleep with the woman. He got up from his sleep and went to the bathroom.

Ara who saw Ibra's departure, quickly sighed. He slowly managed to catch his breath, which he had been hunting for, before Ibra came out of the bathroom.

Just like usual, Ara would wake up by herself at five o'clock. Ara got out of bed so slowly, afraid to wake up Ibra who was still in deep sleep.

He then walked to the bathroom to get some water. As she walked out of the bathroom, Ara was a little surprised, as she looked at Ibra who was already awake and gazing at her.

"You want to pray?" ask Ibra.

"Do you want to pray?" bargain Ibra.

Ara smiled, and again nodded her head, "yes, I can."

"Then, wait a minute!" Ibra quickly ran to the bathroom to fetch water. Makes Ara laugh at him.

After the prayer, Ara grabbed Ibra's hand and kissed the back of the man's hand. Makes Ibra widen her smile. There was a warm feeling that Ibra felt when Ara did it, wanting to feel like he kissed his wife's forehead. Shouldn't it be like that.

"From now on we will continue to congregate. Remind me, if I forget to pray." pinta Ibra, and answered with a nod by Ara.

"You want to sleep again?" ask Ibra again.

"No, I want a deal" replied Ara.

"Well, then I go to sleep again. Still sleepy." Ibra scratched his nape, embarrassed by his wife.

"Yes, go to sleep" said Ara, chuckling.

"Hour seven, wake me up!" her door. Who then got a nod from his wife.

After the tadarrusan, Ara went downstairs. Thinking, maybe there was something she could do in the house, while waiting for her husband's waking hours.

He then smiled widely, when he found Mama Reta who was busy in the kitchen to make breakfast.

"Can I help you, Ma?" tanyanya, walked closer to her in-laws.

"Mom!" Mama Reta smiled broadly at the appearance of her son-in-law, "come here, baby," he said, who then turned to his housekeeper who used to help him prepare breakfast. "Bi Ija can do another job. Let Ara help me."

"Yes, Mom," said Bi Ija.

They then made breakfast together, with the direction of Mama Reta.

"Having a chef's father, must have made you used to eating good food. Mama's cooking is nothing," said Mama Reta.

"No, Ma. Mama's cooking is great. Teach Ara to cook, Ma. I never taught Ara to cook," said Ara.

"Having a reliable chef father, you think you will be good at cooking even without learning" said mama Reta laughed.

"Can you, Ma?" asked Ara who was laughing too. "Later Ara try to cook, who knows if Mama's words are right. Later, Mama tried it?" coined.

"Mama was hesitant about what she said" said Mama Reta. Makes both of them laugh.

"You know, Papa would never have eaten, if it wasn't the mama who cooked. Very inconvenient. Though the hostess should be like mama will just sit back in the room, without doing anything," shoot Mama Reta.

"Ara is like that too, Ma. Just want to eat Daddy's cooking. Means all this time Ara's been a big trouble for Dad." Ara smiled bitterly, recalling the figure of her father.

Seeing the face of her daughter-in-law who suddenly turned sad made Mama Reta feel bad.

"But my mom was just kidding, really. My mom really enjoyed it. There is a sense of satisfaction when we see our loved ones enjoying our cuisine.... Mama thought it was such a big form of love, that you wanted to be fully noticed. And it's very proud for my mom, when everything is entrusted to my mom" said Mama Reta. Who then got the nod from Ara.

"It's all done. Now you wake up Ibra. Let Bi Ija prepare it on the table."

"Yes, Ma." said Ara, who then went up to her room.

While walking to her room, Ara kept thinking about her father. He also remembered the words of Rudi who said that his father lost his restaurant because of him. And also, his father's accident might have happened because of him.

"Did you suffer so much from having Ara?" his inner.
