A Wound

A Wound
Chapter 24's

It had been ten days that Hartono was lying in a coma in the hospital. During that time Rudi also investigated everything that happened to Hartono. But all the results remained the same, what happened to Hartono, purely an accident.

Currently Ara was only alone with her father in the treatment room. Because both of his friends went to college.

After her father's accident, Ara never returned to college. He did not want to leave his father, because he did not want if his father realized later, he did not see him.

After cleansing her father's body, Ara sat herself beside her father. Staring fixedly at the face of the middle-aged man who looked so reluctant to open his two eyes.

Ara grabbed her father's fingers, grabbed them, and put them on one of his cheeks, "a week or so I'm lying here, aren't you bored?" he said he returned with tears.

"Ara was already very tired of Bi Ratih's cooking. Ara misses Dad's cooking. Can't you just wake up for a second to make food for Ara. After that it's up to you to go back to sleep."

"It's so boring talking to Dad. Can't you answer Ara's words?" he said again who had hiccupped.

Ara dropped her face on her father's side. Enjoying his pain, resisting longing for the person who is right in front of him.

Tok.dok...

Hearing the sound of a knock on the glass of the parlor in the room, made Ara look up and immediately wipe away her tears.

Ara walked out of the room and approached Rissa who was already standing waiting for her in front.

"Stop crying. I brought you lunch, let's eat together," said Rissa showing a crackle filled with food.

And after Ara confirmed the words of her best friend, the two then went to the usual room where Ara was resting.

"Today is the last day of my internship, maybe I can no longer visit you as often as this" Rissa said.

"It's okay, I understand. You will be very busy after this" replied Ara.

"But you don't worry, every time I have free time, I will take the time to come here" Rissa promised. "But I'd rather your father recover soon, and I don't have to visit you here. We can meet at your house" he smiled.

"Yes, thanks. Thanks for everything. And sorry to have troubled you these few days" said Ara who felt bad.

"Hey, what's going on! Am I someone else to you? Don't you think I'm your best friend anymore?" rissa was upset. "Cehh you're so mean" he added, blasting his lips.

"No. You will forever be my best friend."

"Then don't talk to me like that. Stop saying sorry or thank you. And don't ever feel sorry for me, if I'm your best friend."

"Yes yes, you are very chatty" said Ara laughing.

"Yes, let's eat. You have to spend it." Rissa had already put food in her mouth.

As the two were engrossed in enjoying the food, Rissa's phone suddenly rang.

"Hello, yes, Brother."

"...."

"I'm in Ara's room."

"...."

"I'm eating, can't you come here for a second."

"...."

"Okay, I'll wait."

"I must finish my meal immediately, otherwise Ibra will be angry. You eat fast too" Rissa told Ara.

Only then did Rissa feed her food, her phone rang again. Which turned out to be a call from the head of the hospital who asked him to go to his room.

After ending her phone call, Rissa tells Ara that she has a call and has to get out.

"If Brother Ibra comes here, tell him to wait for me. I won't be long." Without waiting for Ara's reply, Rissa rushed out of the room.

A few minutes later, there was a knock on the door. Making Ara stop her eating, and gulp down the drink that was in front of her.

"Sister Ibra." said Ara who had just finished cleaning her table.

Ibra circulated her gaze, looking for the figure of her sister, "I think Rissa is here."

"Yes, it was here, but all of a sudden he got a call. And he had Brother Ibra waiting for him here, he said he wouldn't be long" Ara said.

Ibra nodded her head, then walked in towards Ara. "How's your father doing?" tanyakanya.

"There has not been a change. It's been over a week, and the doctor said there's been no progress with the father's body condition."

"You're patient, I'm sure your father will recover soon."

"Yes thanks. You'd better sit down first" Ara offered.

Ibra nodded her head, then sat herself down. "You're just alone?" tanyakanya.

"Then what about you? aren't you in college?"

"I'll go in, when Dad's better," Ara replied with a small smile, and Ibra nodded again.

"Don't you have any other family to help you look after your father?"

"Some, Auntie. But I still want to take care of my own father. Aunty is tired of taking care of the house and preparing my needs" said Ara.

And when capturing the face of Ibra who looks confused, make Ara think, maybe not the answer that man meant. Until Ara again said, "My father and mother are both from the orphanage. They lived and grew up in the same orphanage. I have no other family, just the two of them. But, other than them, I still have Bi Ratih and my two best friends" he explained.

Ibra slightly gasped at Ara's explanation. He only found out that the girl in front of him was born from two orphaned parents.

"But instead of the nurse always monitor the condition of your father's body 24 hours. And you're just gonna leave your dad for a few hours while you're in college." Ibra was a little regretful if the girl in front of him had to leave her lecture.

Just now Ara was about to respond to the man's words, but the sound of the door opening undoes her intentions, and turns to stare towards the door.

"You two should appreciate me more, because I'm older than you guys anyway." Rissa's voice rang out as the door opened slightly, but it did not reveal anyone entering.

"But Ara said you hate being considered old. You also do not want to be called a sister by Ara," said Arumi.

"I'm not asking you to call me brother, I'm just asking you to respect me more as an older person than you."

"Two years of pride." Arumi raised one corner of her lips, looking down on the girl before her.

"Do we have to kiss your hand every time we meet you?" ask Rissa.

"Hey, I'm not that old. What do you think I'm the mothers!" rissa sewot.

"What's this?" ibra asked, when he found his sister was fighting with the two friends of Ara.

Rissa who saw the appearance of Ibra and Ara, quickly turned her eyes to her best friend, "Ara, do you know, just now when I was going here, I called them, I called them, but they just turned to look at me and then resumed their steps without caring about me. They should have waited for me, or at least they returned my greeting, right!" eve.

"Gosh, you're so childish." Ibra shook her head to look at her sister's behavior.

"Yes, right, sister." said Miya. Although he actually did not know who the man who was currently with Ara was.

"Yes, forgive them. They are the childish." Ara chuckled at her best friend's complaint, then turned to look at Arumi and Miya, "yes already, quickly apologize."

"That's just a trivial matter" Arumi said, not accepting.

"Yes!" sahut Miya confirmed.

"It's okay, I'm sorry, '" said Ara. But his two friends still refused to do it.

Ara who was embarrassed to see the behavior of her two friends, spontaneously pulled Arumi and Miya's ears, to make them grimace in pain. Makes Rissa laugh at seeing him.

Ara glanced awkwardly at Ibra who was beside her, embarrassed by the mannerisms of her two best friends.

"Quickly apologize, anyway Rissa is also my best friend. So from now on he also becomes your friend," said Ara full of emphasis.

"What, I don't like spoiled girls like her," said Arumi Ketus, rubbing her ears that Ara had pulled.

"Yes!" sahut Miya nodded.

"Arumiii.." said Ara.

Arumi let out a rough breath, then turned to Rissa, "yes yes, sorry!" he said half-heartedly.

"Yes, sorry too!" miya said, as Ara turned to look at her.

"You were just yeah. This was your idea." Arumi looked at Miya, who had indeed given the idea to ignore Rissa's call earlier.

"Whatever!" Miya passed by, entering the room.

"Yes, let's go home" Ibra asked Rissa.

"Alright, then I go home first. Take care if there's anything on my phone" Rissa told Ara. Made Ara agree with her words.

Rissa then turned to Arumi, "i came home first, new best friend," she told Arumi, pinching her cheek.

"What the hell!" An irritated Arumi quickly raised her hand, intending to hit the hand of Rissa that was stuck to her cheek. But his intention came to a halt as Rissa quickly withdrew her hand and passed leaving him just like that while laughing.

Ibra just shook her head at the behavior of the two girls. But in contrast to Rissa who was satisfied to see Arumi's annoyed face.
