Just like the usual days, after the prayer Maghrib Ara will come down to dinner with his father.
Ara went down the stairs one by one to the dining room.
"Where's the father, Bi?" tanyanya when not getting her father there.
"It seems to be in the room, Neng," replied Bi Ratih who was preparing dinner.
"Cock hasn't come down, Bi?"
"Lacking the idea, Neng. I was just down to tell my aunt to make dinner for Neng Ara."
"Then Ara went to my father's room first, Bi."
After getting a nod from Bi Ratih, Ara went up and went back up the stairs to her father's room.
Ara knocked on her father's room door several times while calling her father. And when he did not get the approval from inside, he slowly opened the door of the room.
Ara circulated her gaze looking for the whereabouts of her first love.
"Where's dad?" when not getting the figure of Hartono there. He then walked to the balcony.
Both corners of his lips lifted when he saw the whereabouts of his father who was standing on the balcony guardrail.
"Dad." said Ara while hugging the middle-aged man's body.
"Darling! Have you eaten? sorry for not accompanying you."
Ara shook her head. "Why? is Dad in trouble?" he asked when he saw the look on his father's face that looked worried.
"No, hon. Dad just lacks appetite. Eat, after that you rest." Hartono stroked his daughter's hair gently.
"But meenin's father?" Ara pulled her father's hand down to accompany her to dinner.
Hartono just followed his daughter's footsteps while continuing to pensively. I don't know what he's thinking.
"Dad, what's wrong with Chef Dion? why the sudden resignation?" ara asked as she started her dinner.
"Dad.." called him when he did not get a response from his father who looked dreamy.
Ara then touched her father's arm with the intention of resuscitating the middle-aged man from his daydreams for some reason.
"Ah, what's wrong, honey?"
"Dad why the hell? If there is a problem with the story Ara. Ara is an adult, I can tell Ara about her father's problems" she asked.
"It's nothing, honey. I just suddenly miss your mom." Hartono smiled bitterly at the look on his daughter's face which suddenly turned sad.
"Dad... " Ara stood up from her seat and hugged her father's body.
"Dad's fine, honey. Yes, finish your food quickly... What did you ask, honey?"
"Chef Dion why did he suddenly resign?" tanyanya, back to enjoying dinner.
"Let's go, he didn't want to tell dad the exact reason. And I don't want to force it either... But it looks like he's getting married."
"Married?" pekik Ara was surprised and stopped her mouthful.
"Yes, I heard from one of my employees that Dion was getting married."
"What about Arumi?"
"They're not a match, honey."
Ara confirmed her father's words. All the problem of soul. Want to be forced anyway if they are not destined to be together then everything will be in vain.
Ara resumed eating and quickly finished the food on her plate, because after eating she planned to contact Arumi.
After successfully finishing her meal, Ara gulped down the white water that was in front of her in a hurry, then stood up from her seat. Not to forget he said goodbye to his father to first go up to his room.
Not yet Ara stepped foot, but the words of her father managed to undo his intention to move.
"So Bima met father," said Hartono calmly. "Do you really want to be engaged to her?" he added, making Ara back to sit himself.
Hartono smiled slightly at his daughter's face, then stroked her cheek. He knows what his daughter is worried about.
"Yes, you've thought about it first. Actually, I really like him, but it's up to you, because you're going to live it. I can only pray for my daughter's best."
Ara grabbed her father's hand that was still clinging to her cheek and grasped it with both hands. "Yes, Dad. Thanks."
"Yes up" said Hartono stroking his daughter's shoulder, who nodded in agreement.
Ara went up to her room while constantly daydreaming, thinking about what she was going to do to Bima. But honestly maybe better, because somehow one day Bima will definitely know all about it. And it would be better if the man knew of himself than to hear it from others.
After a long time wrestling with her wisdom, Ara finally decided to invite Bima to meet and be frank about everything.
Ara grabbed her phone lying on her bed, intending to send a message to Bima. But when he saw the screen of his phone that showed pictures of himself with his two friends, he reminded him of his intention to contact Arumi.
"God! I forgot to call Arumi" he said, who then contacted his best friend, who was on call number three on his phone.
"Hello! Assalamualaikum!"
"Girishalah, Ra. What was? " answer Arumi limp.
"Are you okay?" asked Ara, hearing Arumi's voice that was like not excited.
"Yes, what's wrong?"
"Emmm... Did you know about Chef Dion?" asked Ara doubtfully.
"Arumi. "call Ara again, when it does not get the word from his best friend. Makes her a little sure that Arumi already knows everything.
"Yes already, Ra. Chef Dion has told me." replied Arumi lirih.
"really? Then what about you?" ask Ara worried. And then Arumi's cry broke.
"Why not tell me?" ask Ara lirih.
"I'm ashamed, Ra." Arumi grew sobbing, no longer able to hide her sadness. "I'm ashamed of this stupid feeling. I thought I could take it, but I didn't. Though we have nothing to do but why does it hurt so much."
"Yes, be patient, Mi. Maybe he's not the best for you" said Ara soothingly.
"You know, all this time I was too happy to have feelings for her, without ever thinking it would hurt like this if I just felt it alone."
"Yes, I understand how you feel, I also know this must be very difficult for you. But try to accept it. I'm sure God has prepared the best for you, if not him, maybe someone who may be God is currently guiding to meet you" said Ara sage.
Arumi grew sobbing hearing Ara's words. There was nothing wrong with what his best friend said, but he just wanted to cry over the most painful stupid reality he felt. Stupidity when in love to be so crazy about someone who somehow the story will belong to someone else.
And for a moment Ara was silent, letting her friend spill all her sorrow.
"I didn't expect my Arumiku to be this cry" Ara joked, as she heard Arumi's cries begin to weaken.
"Yes I didn't expect to cry like this either.... You idiot!" Arumi laughed, cursing herself.
There was a bit of relief he felt after spilling all his sadness on his best friend.
"If Miya had seen me like this, she would have laughed at me" he added.
"Hey, Miya isn't that bad."
"Yes I know," replied Arumi. "I miss that kid so much."
"Yes, same. How about we video call him?"
"Don't! My eyes are so swollen." Arumi refuses quickly, until she gets a sneer from Ara.
