HAPPY READING 🙏🙏🙏🙏
At a cafe, I invited some friends to meet. Bayu, Davi, Mia, Anty, and Shiva come with me. I wanted to get them to renegotiate the crazy plan that Mia had proposed and they agreed to this morning.
I never thought Fitri would come too, my friend this one never even once I met him outside of school. I've been friends for two years, and this was the first time we met outside of school.
I was a bit awkward as she sat in front of me, I was like looking at a stranger. She looks a little strange in my opinion with her head without the headscarf covered as usual. Different from Mia or Anty. Several times I've seen them without a hijab so it's not strange to me when they're without a hijab tonight. Unlike shiva, she's the iron shield woman I told you about. Hard steel with emissivity of several levels above zero but I never remove the hijab when out of his house.
A rather cold night, 6 cups of warm coffee brought by a waiter.
“one more cup of coffee” soft Mia said.
“eh, and without sugar” Fitri continued.
The waiter passed.
“so what will we talk about deq?” mia asked with her face.
I noticed her smile, there was a fleeting sense of pity if I forced to cancel all.
“so here..” then the waiter came and cut our conversation.
“a cup of coffee without sugar, come” said the waiter quite cheerfully.
“so...” I said with a smile and raised my left eyebrow, “you guys just drink first” connect me with a small laugh.
“dedeq, don't beat around the bush, just say fast” Shiva said in a somewhat agitated tone.
Dedeq is my daily nickname, and far more know this name than my real name, Erdinsyah.
“just relax Shiva” said Mia calms him down.
“we'd better speed up deq. Mia, we're not going camping tomorrow. If the choice is still the same in the batok forest. Dedeq and I have come to the forest. The forest is broken, messy, too dark even for daylight. We met two local people. They did not say much, but strongly hinted that we are not allowed to camp there” Bayu said in great detail.
“but bayu, it's a state-owned forest, they have no right to ban us” said Mia quite firmly.
“again Mr. Ardi will come with us, so it must be safe and no problem” he continued.
“iya right also” continued Bayu with a somewhat relented tone.
“actually... why is there Mia? Why forest?” ask Davi.
“doesn't the beach is a more reasonable choice” continued Davi rather press Mia.
“new experience Dav!” mia answered.
“it is impossible that the last vacation we together must be crisp with a visit to the beach” said Mia explained firmly.
“what about the reason? The reason forbids us. There could be wild animals there ‘kan” I said calmly.
“clearly there is a strong reason they forbid us” murmured me in heart.
I remember how sharp their eyes were when Bayu mentioned going camping there.
They were silent for a moment. Bayu sighed, looking expectant face as I spoke earlier. Now, Bayu is the number one person who pushed to undo this plan. From Bayu's point of view, he looks more scared than lazy as he said at the beginning.
Mia is seen whispering Anty, and they whisper to each other. Bayu looked at them with a look. My focus was confused by Fitri sitting in front of me and suddenly laughing.
“so my role here is just to hear your babble ya” he said lightly.
I stopped thinking for a moment.
“Mia, actually how do you know about this forest?” my many.
“that's the secret of deq” he said with a smile.
“you must have friends from around there because the place is not so popular, even though it was once a tourist park. None of our classmates are from there, so he must be your playmate”.
“You expressed the idea after the farewell ceremony, which means you just got the idea. Then the one who told about the forest was a schoolmate. And you Mia, don't have too many friends other than the ones in class”.
“wah Erdinsyah, it looks like you are affected by the novel you read” Anty said as she chuckled softly at me.
“Sherlock Holmes, yes?” Fitri interrupted.
Then I just nodded my head while giving a little elation. There are not many moral lessons to be learned from the Sherlock Holmes novels I read. But it was able to increase my thinking power to guess and make a hypothesis. For some teens, novels are boring, certainly not for me. Explained and proven that small details are the most influential. And as it turns out, the most trivial thing could be the most important evidence. Oh, never mind, we don't need to talk about it more.
Because Mia insisted, Fitri supported her and of course Anty too. So that night the decision was taken that nothing would change from the original plan. Bayu looked a bit disappointed, and he also looked a bit worried. I tried to calm him down as we walked towards the parking lot. Shortly before Bayu left the cafe, he promised to come tomorrow. Mia looks happy.
I took a piece of paper and wrote something. I showed it to Mia. He just nodded and was a bit surprised.
“how do you know?” tanyakanya.
“don't tanya” I said casually.
I intentionally didn't mention what I wrote, so Mia believed I could keep a secret. But because he nodded, it means that what I wrote is true. And to be honest, it was awkward in my mind.
At my house, it's almost two o'clock and I still haven't slept. My phone rings, my,
“private numbers? Last night?” muttered.
I think it's just a prankster's job, or one of my friends who doesn't have another job and can't sleep tonight. I ignored him, even I refused his call.
Then my phone rang again, this time I wanted to take this call. I intend to play back this person who wants to play me. I laughed at first imagining it.
As soon as I received the call, a rather hoarse voice spoke so quickly, “don't go into that forest!” teeet.
My hands were trembling, my phone fell.
A few moments later I was able to control myself. I took a deep breath, and began to think about the possible origin of the phone call. There were many possibilities, and the possibility that I was just being played by my friend was also great. Why use such a sentence? Why should it scare me to come to the forest, it all makes little sense to me. But it seems like what happened just now helped me a bit, I feel tired and want to sleep a lot.
At eight in the morning I just woke up, the sunlight that pierced through my bedroom curtains was dazzling. I went out of my bed, to the bathroom to wash my face. Before taking a shower I had time to run in the morning to a few hundred meters from my house. After breakfast, I remembered last night.
I'm actually the kind of person who avoids trouble, so I think it's better that I don't go camping in the woods.
My hair wasn't dry when my phone rang. An incoming call from a friend of mine, Anty.
She's a woman who doesn't like basabasi, “Erdinsyah, you have to come along. I was worried about something, I thought if only I wouldn't mean anything” he said in an urgent tone.
“you are indeed a troublesome woman” I replied with a small laugh at the end of my sentence.
“good, do not come as usual” he said ketus then hang up the phone.
I am often late to attend something, even if it is not too late I am usually the last person to come. I don't think it matters as long as my presence doesn't affect others, or if my presence is crucial.
Thursday afternoon, arriving this afternoon. I was still sitting in front of my house when my watch was fifteen. All I've prepared, considering what Anty said last night I'm really interested in coming along. It was already in my shadow how crucial my role would be.
A short message I received from Davi. “come faster” he said.
I picked up my gear and headed to the agreed place.
On arrival in front of the school stop, “not come all?” my many.
Because there are only seven people there. Anty, Mia, Fitri, Davi, Bayu, Shiva, and Pak Ardi the homeroom teacher. They are all ready with their luggage.
Soon after, Ika came with Shaupa, the coquettish woman who I thought was always excessive.
“so this is how it feels to wait? Boring once” mumbled.
“usually always you are late deq, so just enjoy” Davi said with a gelatinous smile.
Then came Lina with Ary using a motorcycle that he said belonged to his father.
From a distance, a motorcycle approached. Haris's head that was piggybacking on Dina came.
Haris is one of my friends, in my class he is the only child with the title ‘Lalu’. A title for the native noble men of Lombok island. From the blood of his nobles, he had a very fine speech, but had a strong disposition as hard as a stone.
In class, he's the one who hates weird guys named Dicky the most. I once asked why, Haris who is familiarly called Mamiq said that he was once so humiliated by the Dicky in front of Mia. The woman he had been approaching for a long time, but because of this Mia began to stay away from him.
It's true, we men are easy to forget, but the little things that the three of them ever fuss about can't seem to be forgotten Mia, Haris so it's hard to forget.
As for Dina, she was a small woman with a gentle face and a pretty sweet face, there was not much to explain about her. But clearly she was a very jolly woman.
Behind Haris, there is a motorbike ridden by Dian. She is a tall woman, her favorite is reading. Once he read a story for all of us in front of the class for two hours of lessons. He said he could finish reading a novel in one night.
Yes, my friends are unique, or maybe weird.
A public transport car stopped in front of us, as the door opened and Dicky got out of the car, my eyes narrowed for a moment. His eyes looked at me sharply, smiling at me. But not an ordinary smile.
It's been an hour since I got to the school stop. There are only three of us.
“we are incomplete, just cancel Mia” I said subtly.
“don't until cancel” said Mia memelas.
“those who do not come are not important people, so just leave” said Diky.
“silently, no one is talking to you” snapped Haris, instantly Mia looked at Haris cynically.
For Haris, there is not a single fine sentence that is worth saying for Diky.
“here, you're the only one who doesn't matter” Davi continued tightly facing Dicky.
“already, we're leaving. I'm sure the others didn't come. Besides impossible class we can really compact” said Mia rather upset.
I think Mia is really enthusiastic, too enthusiastic, whether the lure of what has blinded her.
“heiii..” shouted a woman from a distance while running around small.
His face was not clear because he was coming from the west, when the sun was right behind his head.
“wait for me” he shouted again.
The closer the distance, the clearer his face, the sound of his trumpet-like cry made us recognize him. Hulfah, a crazy woman with makeup who is no less crazy. The owner of the highest IQ in my class who broke 140, genius. From then on I thought and believed in my opinion that the level of genius is directly proportional to psychiatric disorders.
We're leaving, seventeen.
The two Jeep cars we used, both of them belonged to Haris, the boy with royal blood. I drove one of them and led the way. Next to me sat sweetly a petite woman with a flat look. And it seems like he is thinking of something.
“can you please get me that candy?” my broom broke the silence of our journey.
Behind us seven friends chose to sleep instead of enjoying a trip decorated with beautiful green trees.
“ini your candy” while Anty thrust it for me.
“oh come on, I'm driving”.
“last?” said.
“please open the candy for me” I said with a smile.
Without asking much and talking he immediately did it even directly bribed me “nih” he said ketus.
“nah now, explain what did your message mean this morning?” ask me again to open the conversation.
“don't now” said cold. He turned his face and closed his eyes.
In the course of our journey. For a moment I turned my face to the neat rows of pine trees on the right side of the road. My memory goes back to last night. Then the sound of Haris' car horn overtaking us suddenly shattered my memory.
We arrived.
Everyone is awake. And start getting out of the car one by one.
“so the car is here only?” ask Haris.
Mia agreed and then we started dropping off our things. We were all ready with our own backpacks.
“you why?” I said hello to Anty who was acting a bit strange.
“nothing, just..” the sentence is stuck.
“ada what? Just tell me” said I brought it up.
“i like hearing a voice, but maybe my feelings are” he said then walked away from me.
I looked around the place and there was no one but us. Maybe he was right, just his feelings.
From where we parked the car, we started walking into the forest. Somewhat far away from our trip and arrived in the middle of the forest that is suitable for camping. The land is a bit roomy because the pine trees standing there are a bit sparse. Then Dicky stopped and everything stopped because he was the one who walked in the front position.
“here we” said Dicky energetically.
My eyes narrowed a little to see Anty holding Mia's hand a little too tightly in my opinion.
“what is he afraid of?” I murmured in my heart.
SERIATE...
