5. A Surprising Incident
I heard a voice that sounded slowly clear. Even boisterous steps can be captured through the senses of the listener. His numb hands tried to move him so much he tried to open his eyes that felt so heavy.
“God, where am I? Is there a stone on my head? Is it in the afterlife? I really feel sick. My whole body is bruised. Is the angel tormenting me or am I in His torment?” inner Yudha.
“He has started to realize.” Someone responded.
“He's awake, huh? Doctor will be here soon.” Other voices followed.
Before long Yudha felt someone checking her condition, but she was still trying to open her eyes which still felt so heavy. He thought until when did he have to be like this and tried to open his heavy eyes?
“Some time he will be completely conscious, just wait and let him rest for the next three days. If you can do not keep a lot so that he can rest in peace,” said a doctor.
After that, things started to feel quiet. Yudha began to be able to stare at the white wall in front of her. At first with a blurry view, but over time he could see it clearly. But no one was in that room. The man swept his eyes looking for someone, but there were only empty tables and walls he had obtained. No Erina, no friends, and no parents.
“I'm in the hospital? Is my wound really that bad? Since when have I been in this bed? Was I unconscious before? I remember that I got in the ambulance, but I don't know why I was here. Last time just wanted to ask the officer why to take her to the hospital, but after that I don't remember anything else, her inner” again.
The man tried to move his body which still felt heavy. He tried so hard to sit down, but it was like something was holding him back that he couldn't do well. “Maybe I should rest first,” her inner self again.
About five minutes later, the door opened. He saw a very familiar man walking towards him with a sad look. The man was Dani, his roommate who had witnessed Yudha breaking a plate in the room. “Yudha, are you aware?” he asked after standing right next to Yudha's bed.
The man nodded. Yudha opened her mouth trying to ask, “Why am I here?” ask her very slowly and stammer. His mouth was still very heavy to move and his tongue was still too faint to say many words, so he just said and asked what was needed.
“Because of accident. Lately you are not okay, ‘kah? Since returning from home, I have seen your mood fall apart. You are not the Yudha I know and I do not see any seriousness in you when you return. You say that you go home for a week or a month, then you come back for no more than a day. Your return is like carrying a different soul of Yudha. What's the matter exactly?” danny asked for an answer.
Hearing Dani's demanding question, Yudha's head became even more painful. As hit by many basketballs, even he can not answer it properly if trying to answer now.
“It's okay,” Og Yudha.
“I'm sorry if the question is so heavy to hear, but I just want to know. If there is a problem, you can tell me and not be held in your own hands. What you do can ruin your career,” his advice.
“Dani, answer honestly what happened to me?” ask Yudha, slowly.
Dani exhaled loudly, then sat down on the chair by Yudha's bed with a pushy look down. “What do you remember?” Dani turned around to ask.
Yudha shook her head, “I just saw a woman come out of the garden and my mind was somehow back then, which I remember, I remember, I just wanted to get close to that woman after that I kind of lost control and slammed into the riverbank. But there seems to be something I missed, but I don't know what.” is Yudha tried to remember what happened to her, but she could not remember it well. It's like putting together a puzzle, but there's no missing piece to the puzzle.
“Now heal first and be healthy, after that you will know what happened to you,” said Dani.
“What happened?” yudha.
Dani did not answer, he looked at Yudha confused to answer honestly or not. He thought Yudha was still very sad and he could not say everything if he wanted Yudha to be okay. What if Dani answers honestly, but Yudha's situation will drop? It was even a nightmare Dani didn't want to do.
On the other hand Yudha was still waiting for Dani's answer, she was very curious as to what Dani would answer. Yudha tried many times to remember him, but he always failed so that the only way only Dani could give him an honest answer. After all he must know what he does not know now, because even if he makes a mistake, then he wants to get ready for it.
“Already, the important thing is that you rest now. If you want, later I will call your parents to come here,” he said, Dani refused to answer his friend's question.
“Come on, I didn't you call my parents. I want you to answer what I want to know. Have I made a mistake? Do I have to take responsibility after I leave this hospital? I want to know. At the very least, I have preparations and am not surprised when I get a reprimand later. Please, tell me,” urged Yudha with her voice still unclear but Dani could still hear it.
Dani snorted, he knew Yudha was quite stubborn. The man looked back reassuringly that there was no one else in the room but the two of them. “Are you ready to hear this? You have to promise that you can't drop it after hearing it,” Dani said by force.
Yudha nodded, then she smiled slowly. “Let's just relax, I'm not as weak as you imagine. I'm ready to hear any facts,”.
“Suddenly you raised the speed of your vehicle near the park, then your vehicle crashed into a member friend until the man bounced into the river and now the man is in a coma,” explained Dani.
“What?” Yudha was surprised, her eyes perfectly rounded. His head shook in disbelief, “No way,” softly.
