“Yudha, today you do not task just yet. You, Dani and a few others take care of this place. The schedule has been set by the chairman. We go first.” One of the members had just given the order when Yudha had just come out of the kitchen carrying a plate containing eggs.
Yudha nodded, she turned her head towards her room. Maybe Dani already knew this schedule so that the man was still sleeping casually in his room.
“Oh yes, later you find a vegetable seller here to cook. Will be bored if the next two weeks only eat eggs,” the door again.
“Ready, later I will buy whatever our needs during here,” he replied firmly.
Ten minutes later, half of the members left, while the others still gathered to formulate a plan that had been read by Yudha before. The man was listening clearly to the end. After finishing, Yudha immediately used her daily uniform and then came out to look for merchants around here.
The man was deliberately looking for a merchant alone, because the one who had to guard their residence required a considerable amount of anticipation. However their existence here is quite unsafe because it will do security to freeze the criminals.
Long Yudha walked on foot following a small path without knowing the direction he was heading. He only uses his feelings to expect to meet the merchant quickly even though he himself is not sure if he will succeed in meeting him.
“Village restrictions?” Yudha hissed as she looked at the barrier between villages before her eyes. “Means I've been looking for him to the end of the border, but there's no vegetable seller here. The house is quiet, where do they buy groceries around here?” Yudha stopped her steps right in front of the monument while watching the very quiet area of the village. There was no one walking who happened to pass by for him to ask, there were only a few motorists that he could not stop at will.
Just as Yudha was about to turn around, the man accidentally dropped his gaze on a woman who had just walked out of a small alley. The woman looks very familiar with her body is quite thin and her hairstyle is very familiar Yudha. He wore an orange negligee and flip-flops while carrying a crackle filled with long beans and cabbage.
Yudha stepped closer to ascertain who the woman was, but before Yudha actually moved both her legs, the woman stopped and immediately their gaze was strewn with each other. Neither Yudha nor the woman gaped in disbelief at what was seen before her eyes.
“Ciara,” hiss Yudha.
“Mas Yudha.” The woman looked confused and surprised at the same time.
Without a second thought, Yudha immediately moved her legs closer to the woman with sparkling eyes. “Ciara since when are you here? You live around here? Why you can be in a remote place like—” Yudha did not continue the question to find Ciara who immediately lowered her head.
“I did come here and stay here after Mom and Dad kicked me out. He said this is for your good, Mas,” replied Ciara.
“Ciara, I'm really sorry to you because I can't do you any good. There has been a misunderstanding between us. I really don't know if you and your mother don't actually have blood ties. You're just an adopted son of her. I don't know why you didn't say it or tell it in the first place, but now I've remembered you and our childhood. I really feel guilty when I find out that I am the one who got you kicked out of the house,” Yudha said with regret.
Ciara shook her head. “No, Mas. It's not really your fault, actually. It's just that mom had her own purpose as to why she had to throw me out of the house. Actually I can not be sure but because since childhood I was with him and lived with him, so I know a little about his behavior is not good and want the treasure of Father.”
Yudha was not surprised in the least by the fact that Ciara revealed to her. From the beginning the man had never liked his stepmother, so whatever the statement referred to his stepmother, he only needed to trust her and had expected it from the start.
Instead of being inspired, Ciara just fell silent and looked at Yudha as if in disbelief. The man who had done evil, raped her, even made his life suffer enough was now back in front of his face and apologized so easily.
“I still need quite a lot of time to receive everything. Maybe you think I can easily take advantage of you but I really need a break to be free from the injuries you have made,” Ciara said.
Yudha felt guilty, she really could not force Ciara to forgive her today.
“I go first, nice to meet you,” farewell while turning away quickly.
“Where is your home?” shout Yudha.
Ciara turned her head, she pointed at another alley with her chin short, before finally quickly stepping towards the turn and missing there. Yudha massaged her temple which felt very heavy, not expecting that their meeting took place in this village. The universe is sometimes quite strange in doing jokes in living life.
--
Yudha had gotten one plastic bean, spinach, kale, cabbage, sprouts, tofu, meat and some other vegetables fifteen minutes after Ciara left her. But now the man had returned to the inn, and the members on duty had not arrived until lunchtime came.
“Yudha, there is a phone call for you,” cried Dani from the outside when Yudha was still in the kitchen arranging eggs on the upper refrigerator door.
The man immediately left his job, immediately taking a quick step towards the living room where the public cell phone was located. During the service period, there is a ban on carrying a device, so the family or important people who want to call it must go through a public number in order to stay connected with relatives.
“Who?” yudha asked Dani who had the phone in front of her.
“Entah, her voice is female and impressed still young. Just lift it up, because from his voice it seems he really needs your presence,” replied Dani.
Yudha immediately took over the phone, then began to bring it closer to the ear. There was no greeting, Yudha tried to cleared her throat. Stiffness when he has to start a conversation with a stranger.
“Yudha?” A woman's voice sounded certain.
Yudha rounded her eyes as soon as she realized the familiar voice. Why did he suddenly call her? “Erina, what is it?”
