2. The True Farewell

The thirty-two-year-old man in full PDH appeared to have just stepped down from the jeep while carrying a black shoulder bag. He turned to look at someone driving his roommates' car. “We have to go back one more week, don't forget. Later tell me your address, so I can pick you up,” he said in a very firm tone of voice. 

“Okay, thank you for bringing me here,” replied Yudha. 

The man simply nodded, before he finally caught the gas and went towards his house. When the jeep car was really away, Yudha walked gallantly towards the park that she had once used as a place of separation with the lover. Ten minutes after sitting down, the man opened social media for the first time. He's looking for Erina's name because her number went dormant two years ago. 

It had been about three years since he had not seen Erina. The last time was three years ago when Yudha said goodbye to Erina for duty. 

“I still have to be on duty first. I will plan the wedding date with you. Sorry, I can't go home anymore,” Yudha said regretfully. 

“It's okay, just focus on your work and the tasks you take on. I will wait for you,” Erina replied resignedly. 

The conversation was like yesterday. Now Yudha was finished from her service and she took a week off to marry Erina. He thought there was no need for a fancy party and invited many people, because he felt it was not enough with the short time given by the agency. Yudha only needed to take Erina to KUA, after which they could officially become a legal married couple. 

Yudha searched for Erina's name, after getting it she directly pointed at the message room and typed in a few sentences.

Hello Erina, honey, how are you? I'm sorry it's been three years since I didn't give you any news while I was on duty. I really miss you. Now, I want to keep my promise to you, Na. Well, can you come to the place we once made a farewell place? I just got back and I want to see your face once. I want you to see me first. 

Yudha sent the message. He was very confident in telling Erina suddenly, because Yudha knew that Erina always returned messages quickly. So he thought that Erina would definitely come to see him whenever Yudha needed and wanted. It only takes a few seconds for the message to be read. Yudha smiled, she was glad Erina had still not changed.

I'll be there as soon as I can. 

“Ah, Erina, I did not choose the wrong woman. You are the most different woman I have ever known. How sorry I am to let you go. Only a stupid man can't love you, Na. I can't wait to see you at this age. You will definitely be more beautiful and mature in thought. So, come quickly. I can't wait to hug you, Yudha's inner”. 

While waiting for Erina to arrive, Yudha noticed the park that looks quite crowded around here. There are not many significant changes around it, only a few trees that used to be small have now grown large and the cucumber makes the garden atmosphere cooler. The end of the park that was originally empty is now filled with children's game rides that make this park more dense. 

Yudha reflexively turned her head and found a black long-haired woman who had been standing in front of her for some time. His skin looks cleaner, his gaze looks softer and his body is quite full. The woman smiled so unconsciously Yudha got up from her seat with a look of admiration. That woman is really charming. 

“Erina.” Yudha approached, the man stretched his hand about to hug the woman, but Erina's hands held her back.

“Don't do that, I'm here to see you for ten minutes. I can't do it any longer,” Erina said. 

Yudha's forehead was wrinkled, she seemed confused by Erina's intentions. “Why did you say that? I came here for you. I have seven days and we can use it to fulfill my promise to you. I can take a longer vacation if you want. I want to give you all my time, but why do you only give me ten minutes to talk?” ask Yudha streak. He felt uncomfortable with Erina's current attitude. Has the woman changed for him?

“I can no longer be with you, sorry,” Erina said slowly. 

Yudha rounded her eyes, she was stunned by the unexpected answer. “What do you mean? Why are you talking like that? Didn't I call you three years ago to wait for me and you supported him? Then why are you rejecting me, Erina? Did I have a fatal mistake on you?” Yudha demanded an answer, he did not accept Erina's decision to decide on the side. 

Erina shook her head slowly. It was a shame to be honest with Yudha about what she was hiding now. However, Erina thought that Yudha should know so that the man would no longer ask Erina to be her lover. Erina has to stop all this. “You have nothing wrong, but I'm married to someone else. I got engaged to her two years ago, a month after we got married.”

Yudha felt a lightning bolt strike her during the day. His head was heavy to hear the statement. The man shook his head trying to deny that fact. He believes Erina is only joking because Yudha knows best that Erina is a woman who never breaks a promise. 

“You lied, ‘kan?” yudha asked in a clear voice. 

Erina shakes. “No, I really didn't lie to you. I'm married to someone else. I know this hurts you, I'm sorry, Yudha. I'm sorry for not being able to keep my promise to wait for you. Now it may be time for you to find my replacement, I am sure there are many better women out there who love you,” Erina said as she held back her tears. 

He felt dejavu with the current atmosphere. Again he and Yudha should celebrate farewell in this garden. It's just that the breakup this time was more painful than before because after this there was no hope of getting back together. Erina must focus on her family, while Yudha is forced to focus on returning to the reality of her life. 

“Erina, please don't joke. I don't like that joke.” Yudha is still denial. 

Erina shook her head again. “Stop, I'm not kidding with you. Don't you see this ring on my ring finger?” Erina raised her left hand and revealed a beautiful circular white ring on her ring finger. “It's been attached to my finger since two years ago when you didn't tell me.”
