YUCIA Love Story

YUCIA Love Story
18. Duty Letter

The man came back down. The sadness he felt grew even more when he realized that Ciara had been present as part of his past life. Not so much he remembered, but Yudha assumed that she and Ciara had shared a lot of things either about anything.

“Destroyed, shit. Everything's been ruined. I'm the one who messed things up. Ciara tried to get close to me again just because she wanted to get to know me as the Yudha I used to be, but damn it I didn't know that. I really have made him miserable,” regrets Yudha.

“Now what should I do? I could only berate and scold her, I never once appreciated her good intentions. I'm really barbaric and evil,” he continued.

Yudha had truly regretted her actions when it was too late. The man almost dropped his tears if he didn't rush him quickly. His chest was indeed tight, his throat felt choked, but he tried not to cry at this time. It is enough that he cried because of the abandonment of his lover, lest he return to crying because he regretted his own actions.

When Yudha was about to justify her sleeping position, from the outside someone called her name while knocking on the door quite loudly.

“Young Master,” call her out loud.

Yudha immediately sat down. He went down and opened the door of his room. A new housekeeper was seen standing in front of his room, handing a white envelope at Yudha. “Young Master, this is a letter from the dorm,”. “So the mailman here gave me this, so I just took him. This must be important for the young master, ‘kan?” The woman smiled kindly.

“Thank you.”

“Sama-sama.” The woman immediately left, not long after that Andri who just finished eating approached the only son of the puppet.

Yudha immediately took it and tore it. He saw a white A4 size paper with the official inscription in it that asked Yudha to return to duty outside the island in a village that is suspected to be the hiding place of several groups of criminals who want to fight on country.

“What is it?” ask Andri curious.

“Tomorrow I'll be back on duty and it might take a while. But I can't be sure, how long. For sure I won't be here anymore,” replied Yudha quickly.

“Daddy is happy to hear it, be careful.”

The next second Yudha immediately turned to her room to tidy up her important belongings. He and some of his friends will meet at the port of dawn, so he has no time to cry again. He did not know how to find Ciara yet, but he only needed to return to reality.

--

On the boat, the man stared at the vast ocean. Downstairs, there were many of his friends resting there. They boarded this ship early in the morning, and now until the afternoon has not arrived yet. It is only natural that many are exhausted.

About an hour later, the boat stopped at the port. Soon Yudha and many members began to descend on a very foreign village. They had indeed come out home and had left his island of birth far back there.

“Yudha, let's hurry! We have to get to the inn before night,” invite one of your friends.

About an hour later, they arrived in front of a fairly spacious and shabby old building. They went down to get into it.

“We are here first until there is another direction from the superior. We don't know what the night will be like, but we have a duty to make the community safe. So, as much as we can keep an eye on this area for a while. It is not certain where the opposing groups will stay, but it could be not far from here,” one of them said when Yudha was busy watching the building of this house which some parts of it had collapsed.

“Siap,” answer them firmly.

“And don't make suspicions. We can't be flashy,” he added.

After getting some leads, they immediately entered occupying their respective rooms. In the house there are five rooms so that one room can be filled by two people. Yudha slept with other members whom she knew well enough to avoid any further contact.

“This village is really very remote, yes. Where do people here buy monthly shopping?” the friend asked, taking the bottle out of the bag.

“That's also what I was thinking, because since the trip from the sea, I haven't seen any merchants or five feet passing by. Is there a traveling salesman who might be selling? Because it is impossible if it is completely empty, the article is as lonely as any place in our opinion, there are still many inhabitants,” reply Yudha tried to assume.

“Maybe.”

Yudha tried to leave her friend in the room, while she headed for the terrace looking for fresh air. For a moment, he recalled back to Ciara who was out of nowhere. But now he does not want to repeat the same mistake, he does not want the consequences of his erratic mood can harm him in the future. He did not want the incident when abandoned Erina repeated when he was abandoned by Ciara.

“Yudha, you should rest and sleep. If you stay here, you can be suspected by passers-by,”, said Dani who was standing behind him.

Yudha turned her head, “I was just looking for the wind and looking for a miracle,” she replied.

Dani giggled amusedly at Yudha's reply. “Hey, next time if there's anything you can tell me. Didn't I tell you this, did I? It's not good to hold it yourself. After all we have been friends since we first met, so do not hesitate to me,” stressed Dani again.

Yudha smiled. Actually happy he is here because Dani is very good, but he is not good at telling what he feels to others even though it is his own friend. So far no one has kept Yudha's story, the man prefers to keep it to himself rather than to be shared.

“Come in, close the door later. We must rest immediately before tomorrow comes out to guard,” pinta Dani while hitting Yudha's shoulder.

The man nodded, then closed the door and returned to his room. Actually a bit unfortunate when he was not one room with Dani, but this is how it is divided. Each other must blend in and are not allowed to create their own groups. Everyone should work together and help the struggling ones.
