YUCIA Love Story
17. Only the Son Raises

It had been about a week Yudha did not see the presence of Ciara in his house. Usually the girl who provides breakfast at the table as long as Bi Inah does not exist, but now the family even has a new housekeeper somehow since when. Yudha rarely left the room, the man spent more time in his room.

“Where is the child?” yudha asked while taking the balado eggs from the tray.

Andri turned his head, “Who do you mean? Ciara?” The man made sure.

Yudha nodded, but her gaze was still focused on her plate, trying to look unconcerned but she was actually quite curious as well.

“Not you already know that Ciara has left here?”

Yudha straightened her head, looking at the father with a slightly incredulous look. “Go? If he goes, where does he go? Why go?” ask Yudha streak.

Andri glanced at his wife who had started eating. The man exhaled a sigh of resignation. “You really don't know, yes, on your mother's idea, Ciara left. Mother thought that your actions like this, for example, you are always silent and cold because of Ciara. Therefore the mother took the initiative to remove Ciara from this house. Again your mother says that Ciara always interferes with your life, therefore if the situation does not change then it could be that you also do not change into the you used to be,” explained Andri.

Yudha's forehead is wrinkled. Whatever his father explained made no sense. Ciara is always bothering him, but removing Ciara without removing Farah is tantamount to making Yudha hate the life in the house.

“The idea was really bad and will never work. What does this have to do with me anyway? If expelling him can make me change, it is a miracle But unfortunately I am still Yudha at the moment and do not intend to change in the slightest,” explained Yudha.

“Everyone is already up,” hiss Andri while pushing her plate away, even before the man touched her food.

Andri's gaze looks so sweet that words run out to explain how much she might still love Ciara and want to keep her away if she could. But what Farah said, sounded reasonable in her ears until she decided to prefer her biological child over the foreign girl.

“Mother gave him an idea? Do you really have the heart to tell your child to go alone?” Yudha asked, not believing.

“Kid Mom? Yudha, Ciara is only Mother's foster child. The girl was a foster mother since childhood, but her name was also a foster child, so I could do anything to her. And when Mom thought that Ciara's departure was a good idea, so Mom let her go. No need to be surprised or feel lost, the child is very strong inside,” explained Farah while chewing her food.

Yudha was really still trying to process every utterance that came out of Farah. He still did not understand some of the things that the woman was talking about. “Child lift?” Yudha.

“Iya, she's Mom's foster son. His family could not take care of him. For fear of being thrown away, I finally took it and took care of it. But only as an adopted child, nothing more. I myself do not want to have children, so I do not privilege her presence on my side,” explained Farah once again.

Yudha was really surprised by that explanation. He never expected that the girl was just a foster child. At once Yudha regretted that she had done so much wrong to the girl just because she hated Farah. Yudha had been violent with him without knowing that the girl had nothing to do with her stepmother. No one told Yudha in the first place, neither Ciara nor her father ever brought it up. But now what should he do? It's all too late.

His mind is really complicated. He wanted to apologize to the girl for her evil deeds, but he thought it was too late and he could not find the girl. Where'd he go? Now where is it?

Yudha shut the door hard from the inside, then walked straight to the drawer to look for the phone book she had to ask for help checking where Ciara was at the moment. Although Yudha was not sure, but he only tried first, at least he wanted to have a chance once again to make amends.

But when both hands tried to get rid of a pile of old books, he saw a familiar old album. The cover is made of wood, in front of which is written C&Y which Yudha did not know clearly. Out of curiosity, the man immediately took the album and carried it to the edge of the mattress.

The album opens and on the first sheet a portrait of a jet-black-haired, brown-eyed, smiling little girl on a school swing. Yudha reopened the next sheet, where a photo of her childhood was with the little girl in the park. They seemed to laugh with the white cat who was playing with them as well.

Yudha held her head which felt heavy all of a sudden. A glimpse of the past is like popping up vaguely. The man could not remember it clearly yet, but the face of the little girl was no stranger. Once again Yudha opened the next sheet and saw a small paper beside the little girl who was now sitting by the river. “Ciara will always guard Yudha until anytime.”

“Ciara?” Yudha.

The man was not strong enough to open the next limp, finally closed the album and thrown in front of the closet to hit the corner of the closet sharp. His temples he massaged vigorously as the sound of the cry of the little girl began to enter his ears.

“Yudha, quickly leave school, later late!”

“Yudha, don't run. I missed, know!”

“Yudha, don't forget to do the PR.”

“Yudha, you have to immediately rise to the surface, you can not long swim in the river, you know. If you swim in the river, you can be scolded by your parents. Hurry up, Yudha. If you drown, you won't be able to be a soldier.”

“Yudha!”

“Yudha!”

The man immediately dropped himself on the mattress and covered his ears with a bolstered pillow hoping that the little girl's screams would leave immediately, but it seemed that his efforts were unsuccessful because now not only voices were starting to appear, but they were beginning to be, but the memories of the past are increasingly visible behind the darkness. Yudha with the girl played by the river, spent the day together and was always with her until Yudha herself forgot because they were separated. But that girl is someone important in her life.

“Ciara,” hiss Yudha.
