20. The Return of the Past
“Yudha, when will you return home? I want to tell you a lot of things,” Erina said from across the street all of a sudden.
Yudha frowned. The woman had the heart to make Yudha depressed by her decision to get engaged to another man and leave Yudha, while at this time without any sin, she called Yudha to ask her to listen to Erina's story.
“Why suddenly? Wouldn't it be better to talk to your fiancee? With it, you are free to do anything freely. After all, I don't want to be accused of being your affair or the destroyer of someone else's relationship,” Yudha quipped.
Across the street, Erina did not answer. Yudha was still waiting for him even though he knew that the time he had was not much.
“Then from that, if you come home please let me know. I really want to tell you. In short I regretted leaving and was instead engaged to the businessman's man. I can't talk on the phone, because this conversation takes a lot of time whereas I don't want to disturb you for more than five minutes.” Erina said.
Yudha exhaled a loud breath. In any case, he could not forget Elina and if only his place of duty was close to the city where Erina lived, so it was with great pleasure that Yudha would surely come to him and listen to his story even if it would hurt herself.
“Alright, I'll call you when I get home. I will go home sooner if I can,” replied Yudha resignedly.
“Before Thank you for chatting with me in this short time, as long as you know honestly I was really embarrassed to dial this number and call you but you are the only one who can understand my feelings, so I finally contacted you without shame. I'm sorry and welcome back to work. I'm waiting for you to arrive as soon as you can.
After saying that Erina instantly turned off her phone connection. Yudha stared at the phone which was then dark, then placed on the table as before.
Yudha was really starting to feel worried about her current life. On the one hand he had remembered all his memories in childhood with Ciara, playing with her, dancing in the rain with her, and spending several years with her. But on the other hand, the presence of Erina who was once the main character in his life made him provoked to turn back.
Yudha snorted, then chose to sit on the sofa with a feeling that was still very messy. His work had only begun within a few days, but there were already many personal problems that had befallen him. Always when Yudha was busy, problems approached like pebbles thrown from the sky.
“What is your motivation to approach me again, Erina? Do you want to repeat and come back with me from the beginning again? Or do you just want to talk about your life? But whatever you want to say to me, I would love not to expect too much of you for the second time, Yudha's inner”.
“Hey, why are you daydreaming? Lately you have been dreaming like that. Are you afraid that past events will repeat themselves? You better tell me what you feel for me than hold it alone. Do not because you are a man then do not want to tell a story because it seems like a woman, whereas telling each other doesn't have to be done by a certain gender all of a free human being tells anyone he trusts.” Dani, who had just arrived in the living room, immediately gave Yudha some advice as soon as she saw the gloomy face of her friend.
Yudha smiled a little. Dani sat in front of him. “So, do you want a story?” tanyakanya.
“Ya can.” Yudha straightened her seat.
Immediately Yudha relented, got up and took the device, answered it later.
“Halo good afternoon,” greet Yudha friendly.
“Yudha? This Yudha?” A woman sounded panicked. Yudha knew him well, he was Farah.
“Mother? What was? Tumben once you called me. Is there anything important you want to ask or do you want to make sure of my situation because it was told by my father? Just tell him that I'm doing fine here, so he doesn't have to worry and focus on his work alone, no need to think about me, ” Yudha's response to the annoying woman.
“Not that, Yudha. But you should know that your father is not okay. He was rushed to the hospital because he suddenly fell in front of the bathroom. I was really freaking out at the time, because I was alone, so if you'd like, you can go home for a while to keep your dad here, ” Farah suggested.
Hearing Farah's remark reminding her of Ciara's words when the two of them met in front of the village's border monument, Ciara said that it could be that Farah wanted to do something. Therefore, Yudha looks even bigger than before because now not only thinking about Erina and Ciara, but has crept on her father who seems to need help from others.
Yudha couldn't bear to ask this, “You're really looking after Dad?” Yudha's gaze began to empty.
“Gosh, I never lied to you. I really took good care of your father. But the name is also a living creature, there is always a disaster and happiness that always accompanies. Maybe now is the time for your father to be hit by a disaster, and you should not blame others for that incident.” Farah's voice rose, it could be imagined how much she refused to be blamed.
“I just asked,” hiss Yudha. “I'll be home as soon as I can to keep Dad well,”.
After that, the connection is closed. Yudha put the phone on the nightstand, then faced Dani who was still sitting on the sofa. Yudha thought Dani was gone, but she was still there waiting for her busy self with an unfinished phone.
“So, you want to go home?” shoot Dani for a second.
Yudha shook her head faintly. “Actually I still want to be here. I still want to finish the task until the end, but unfortunately I really can't. You know that this task is my first task after I was temporarily laid off, so what will be my reason when I apply for leave at the boss?” Yudha said weakly.
He is on the verge of staying between wanting to go home to take care of his father or stay here to achieve his dreams. Yudha really could not make up her mind at the moment, but the concern for her father was so great. Don't know what Farah's gonna do to her husband. However someone who has evil intentions will always take a chance in narrowness.
