Funeral

"Allohu Akbar!". Abah Fani was in front of Mr. Basofi's body and had begun to preach to start the funeral prayer. He became his priest and the men stood behind him including Basophi among them.

"Allohu Akbar's...". Abah Fani was the second time.

Basofi who has never prayed the corpse at all bent his body for the ruku' like the usual fardhu prayer.

Because he felt the people in front and next to him were not familiar' he turned his head and found that people were still standing and crossing. He straightened his body again and crossed it. Shame, that's how he felt.

Earlier before following the funeral prayer, he actually doubted maybe the procedure was different. But he strengthened his heart if the prayer is as usual. Although he did not memorize his reading but he memorized all his movements. So he also confidently joined the makmum at the front shof.

"Allohu Akbar.".", Abah Fani served for the third time and after that still stood firm as before.

Basofi glanced to the right and to the left and followed the priestly takbir movement for the third time. It turns out they're standing.

"Allohu akbar.", Abah Fanani was crowned for the fourth time. Basofi looked closely at the priest's movements and imitated them. He doesn't want any more wrong moves. Shame the whole earth.

"Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarokatuh.", Abah Fani turned his face to the right side with a position still standing.

"Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarokatuh", then turned his face to the left. After that he prayed and the teachers guaranteed him still in the same position.

Basofi just found out that the corpse prayer was four times takbir then greetings without the movement of the ruku' or prostration. He is a Muslim, but not much is known. Even one year can be counted how many times in performing the prayer.

After reading the prayer then there are about three more times the congregation that solicited the body of Mr. Basuki.

Mr. Basuki's body was then carried and put in a coffin after being crushed.

The mourners gathered among the coffins to listen to the speech of the family representative, which this time was sent to Abah Fani.

Basofi listened carefully word by word to Fani. There were a few words that he heard and stuck in his heart.

"The one who prays the corpse prayer, he gets a reward of one qirath. The equivalent of Mount Uhud. If continued by delivering the body to his funeral, he got the reward of two qirath."

And

“Not a Muslim dies and then is prayed by 40 people who do not shirk to Allah in the least but Allah will allow their shafa’at (prayer) for him.” (CHR. Muslim)

And the prayer of the man who shols the body asks forgiveness for the mayor.

Also the family's apology to everyone present may forgive the may's mistakes and if there is unresolved debt, please deal with the family.

Basofi imagines if he dies later will the people he has hurt will forgive his mistakes that cannot be said much because it is very much so.

The rumbling sounds of people walking away from the mosque area returned him to the consciousness he had left a few minutes ago. His fear of death made him want to improve himself so that one day he could return forgiven because everyone could not run away from him. Everyone is just waiting for time. Although only a little intention is determined at least there is a desire to repent, especially about women. That was his greatest temptation.

Now mourners go hand in hand to the cemetery owned by the boarding family in the boarding school area while reciting tahlil to remember each other if every human being born to the earth will one day back to earth again. So that man will not be happy with all the gifts he has because they are only a mere deposit.

Three people were already in the burrow to receive Mr. Basuki's body. One in the head, the second in the middle and the other in the legs. Basofi is in a burrow on the middle side. At first he was asked to be in the head because he was the representative of the family in order to prosecute the mayor but Basofi refused because he was afraid of being wrong when he complained to him.

The rope of the shroud was removed then his face was opened and faced to the qibla.

Three circles of land that have been provided are placed at the top of the middle and bottom of the mayit is useful to support the position of the mayit so as not to fall and remain facing the qibla.

Then the person in the mayit's head complained to him.

After that the three people who were in the burrow went up and a piece of board was placed on the body and then the lifeless body was filled with land.

The new mound was then watered with water and sprinkled with flowers. And

Basofi's eyes looked closely at how the burial procession was for the first time. There was a thump of worry rising in his chest what if it was him and what he would do when his body was already piled with the ground. Who will accompany him there. No lamp can illuminate no one will want to accompany.

His body was shed along with Abah Fani who was mentally fit near the new tomb bearing the name Basuki

The law of the funeral prayer or prayer for Muslim mayyit is fardlu kifayah. This means that it must be done at least by one person. If deliberately no one fulfills it then the status of sin befalls Muslims in general.

Menshalati is one of kifayah's obligations besides bathing the body, mengafani, and finally burying it. Technically speaking, the way of praying the corpse is different from the usual way of praying, because it does not use the ruku’ movement, i’tidal, and prostration.

The pillars that must be carried out in the funeral prayer include intention, four times takbir, standing (for people who are able), reading Surat Al-Fatihah, reciting the prayer on the Prophet SAW after the second takbir, and reading al-Fatiha, prayer for the corpse after the third takbir, and greetings.

Here are the procedures for praying the corpse in sequence quoted from Fashalatan by Shaykh KHR Asnawi Kudus, one of the founders of Nahdlatul Ulama.

Firstly, intention. Intentions must be stirred in the heart. When recited verbally it will sound: ADVERTISING For the body of a man

Second, takbir and continued by reading Surat al-Fatihah.

Third, pardon again and continued by reading the Prophet's shalawat، ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ , ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇

Fourth, after reading the shalawat, takbir again and reading the prayer for the corpse that is being prayed: For the body of a man:       『DITHINFIGHTFIGHTER. . ULTIPHATT.
