"A council member with the initials G, in town - last night was arrested by police for embezzlement and attempted murder, as well as for abuse of office-"
Rina was staring at a television news channel that was airing the arrest of her father Anjas last night. Beside her was Arya who faithfully grasped Lina's hand so gently and soberly.
While in a different chair Heni also watched with clenched hands and satisfied face. After a long time she saw her best friend tormented by the old man's greed, she finally could see the person who had made Rina miserable accept the consequences of what she had done.
"Huh, finally the old man can also be the result of all his treatment with you, Rin!" Heni cheered happily when he saw the news being displayed.
Rina did not answer, while Arya just shook her head slowly while smiling thinly at her best friend.
It seemed like Rina had a different taste from Heni, the woman was seen shedding tears, when he saw the man who was his former father-in-law was flanked by two policemen and put into a car with the emblem of the state apparatus.
What's more when the television had shown her mother Anjas who looked full of sadness staring at the departure of her husband. Really, there was a certain amount of guilt in his heart upon seeing it all.
"Why, baby?" Arya who saw a different look on her face asked.
Heni, who has since continued to focus on the television screen, has now turned her attention to Rina. His forehead wrinkled deeply as soon as he saw his sababat face it did not exude any sense of pleasure at all.
"Well, e-nothing. I'm nothing, really," said Rina while wiping away the tear marks on her cheek.
"You don't get too carried away by emotions, Rin. They deserve that. Remember, they almost killed both of you and snatched the Star from you" Heni explained with passionate emotion.
Arya embraces Rina's shoulder, until Rina sees it. The man seemed to smile before speaking to Lina. "True Heni, dear. They deserve all this. Let's just say, this is a way for them to realize their mistake."
"Well, said your husband, Rin. You have to have the heart, because not everyone understands just by meekness, Rina. Sometimes they have to accept the consequences of their actions first, in order for them to realize the mistakes they made."
Lina smiled faintly, out of nowhere Heni got such a wise word. Usually, the woman never said such a word.
"Here you go, we better get ready to pick up BIntang at Anjas' house, you must have missed him so much?" arya said as she stood up and stretched out her hand to help Rina stand up.
Rina smiled then nodded, the look on her sad face that had been seen now immediately turned excited with bright sparkling eyes.
Both of them walked to the room to get ready to pick up the stars.
.
Meanwhile, Anjas is now in the home of his parents. After last night's arrest, his mother was devastated and is in need of a backrest.
Anjas could not leave the woman for now, until she chose to stay there until her mother calmed down. While Tari must keep Syfira and Bintang first at home, while waiting for Rina and Arya to pick him up.
"Mom, breakfast first, yeah." The man was seen walking into his mother's room with a tray containing his mother's favorite breakfast menu in hand.
The middle-aged woman looked unresponsive, she only glanced at Anjas at a glance then again ignored him.
Anjas exhales slowly, then puts the tray on the table. He chose to sit next to his mother who looked so moody.
"I'm sorry, Mom. This is all I did so that my father could be aware of his mistakes," said Lirih Anjas.
Anjas smiled faintly, after since last night his mother kept silent, finally the middle-aged woman was willing to open her mouth to talk to him.
"I'll be fine, Mom. I will also try not to take too heavy a punishment" Anjas promised.
"Mom, please help me get back to making you the way you used to be. I want us to go back to what we used to be, Mom." Anjas lowered his head, the voice sounded weak and raucous as if he was holding back a cry.
Anjas' mother looked at the child, she looked into Anjas' reddened eyes withstanding the rush of the water which almost went out unbearably.
The hand that had seemed a little clamor was slowly stretched out to touch Anjas face, there was guilt in his heart when he saw Anjas who seemed to fall like this.
"I'm sorry, Anjas. Because we were too busy with ambition, we forgot about you expecting affection from us" said Lirih Anjas' mother.
The conversation continues, they tell the past, when Sisi has not died and their family is still happy. His father could always make time for the family in between the busy work.
.
Meanwhile, in another place Rina seemed to be walking quickly towards Anjas house, she was already very impatient to meet the child.
"Mama, Papa!" The sound of the cry of the child they were so familiar with made Rina immediately look towards the door.
From there the star ran while stretching his arms towards Rina and Arya, it seemed like the boy already knew about their arrival until upon hearing the sound of the car he went straight outside and greeted Rina and Arya.
"My son." Lina muttered softly as she spread her arms, preparing to receive the Star into her arms.
Sure enough as soon as the boy arrived, he immediately hugged Rina so tightly. Rina immediately returned the embrace of the child with longing. For a moment, the two dissolved into the loving atmosphere they so longed for.
"The star kangen, Mama," said the little boy with sobs accompanying him.
"Mama is also very confused with Star, baby," replied Rina while peeping repeatedly the top of her husband's head.
"Papa didn't miss?" Arya who followed Rina also now spoke when she was near the two of them.
The star looked up to reach Arya's face, then smiled while releasing a hug from the mother. "The stars miss Papa!"
Arya chuckled softly, she then carried the Star into her carrying, she embraced lovingly the child she had been guarding since birth. Although, Bintang is not his biological child, Arya still sincerely idolizes him.
After taking off the kangen, Rina now turned to Dance who seemed to be sitting in a wheelchair, the woman smiled kindly as she welcomed Rina's arrival.
"Thank you, Dance. You already want to take good care of my Star," said Rina while squatting equal to the height of Dance.
"No need to thank you, Rina. I'm happy to keep the Stars, he's a good kid and it's easy to understand to be told." replied Tari. He looked at the Star that was being carried by Arya, while walking towards them.
...Stop by my other work dong, sister. Who knows who likes '🥰 'em...
