Anjas looked at the tired face and looked at the Star that had just fallen asleep, after this day he kept crying and whining to meet with Rina.
The man seemed to take a deep breath and then blew it violently, there was guilt in his heart for being forced to obey the will of his father. However, he had no other choice, as this was the only way that he could maintain Dance and Syafira.
Yes, at that time he was also in the threat of the father who would do the same to Tari and Syafira, if until he did not want to follow the will of his father.
His father also threatened to kill Rina and Arya, if he still insisted on fighting back.
Slowly Anjas took his foot closer to the bed of the Stars, he sat by the side of the bed where his son was asleep.
"Mama." Anjas's heart ached as a soft voice with the lips quivering The star called out to the mother.
"I'm sorry, Bintang, this is all I can do to protect you from your grandfather's crimes" Anjas said softly with deep regret.
Anjas rubbed the Star's forehead slowly which looked a little sweaty, until his eyes widened when he felt the body temperature of the Star was abnormal.
"You have a fever, son?" Anjas leaned his body slightly while trying to equalize the heat between himself and the child.
"Jeez, you really have a fever!" said Anjas who grew panicked.
"Star, Star." Anjas tried to wake up his son who did not even give a response at all.
"Star, wake up, son!" Anjas panicked even more, as he pulled over the blanket that covered the child and felt that the Star suit was even wet with sweat.
Anjas got up and immediately carried the Star into his carriage, with wide strides Anjas carried the Star out of the room.
However, his steps stopped when he passed by Tari who had also just come out of his room.
"What's up, Mom? Why is your star carrying like that?" tanya Dari who also looked panicked, at this time the woman seemed to only use a walking assist stick.
"Star of high fever, Dance. He was even unconscious! I need to get her to the hospital!" obviously Anjas panicked.
"What, a star fever? Then I'll go to the hospital, Mom!" Dari also panicked when he saw the star drooping limp in the sling of Anjas.
"You're at home, sorry that Syaira was left alone. Star let me take her," said Anjas, rejecting Tari's wishes.
"But, Mas-" The word Dance came to a halt as Anjas interrupted immediately.
"I went with the driver, you're fine here, yes," Anjas said then walked quickly down the stairs while calling his family's driver who happened to be staying at home.
Moments later, Anjas appears to be accompanying Bintang who is being examined by the guard doctor. Seeing that, he remembered Arya who also works as a pediatrician.
If only the accident had not happened, it was possible that now the Stars would not be sick like this and maybe they could already be happy with his little family.
"How's my son doing, Doc?" asked Anjas when he saw the doctor had finished examining the Star.
"There is no problem with your child, maybe it is just because of fatigue. However, if by tomorrow the fever has not gone down as well, we will do a follow-up examination," explained the male doctor whose age may not be so far from him.
"Alright, thank you, Doc," Anjas said sincerely, he already felt a little more relieved after getting an explanation from the doctor.
.
As the night rolled on, Rina seemed to be sitting on the side of the gurney facing the glass window whose curtains were deliberately left open. The infusion needle was still faithfully attached to the back of his hand.
Rina's condition is only a recovery, it turns out that it has been a week since Rina was unconscious since the accident on that day.
His eyes stared at the dark black night sky dyed with gray clouds that seemed to roll in some parts. There were no stars in sight, even the crescent moon seemed timidly revealing itself.
"Even the stars up there won't show themselves to me" murmured lirih Rina.
It had been two days since he woke up, but not a single person from the Aryan family had come to see him. Heni has not told anything about Arya's condition, nor where the Star is.
Rina took a deep breath and then exhaled slowly, tonight she told Heni to go home, because she wanted to be alone. If only he could be honest, now he misses the two men who have graced his days since seven years ago.
Stars and Aryans, they appear almost simultaneously, and both give color in their lives.
Lina smiled as her eyes looked at one dangerous star very bright.
"Mama misses us, baby," muttered Rina again, intending on her – children's Stars.
The sound of the door opening slowly did not bother Rina who was dissolving in her long thoughts, she simply closed her eyes while breathing deeply back in, then exhaled her slowly.
"I told you, you just go home, Hen," said Rina without opening her eyes. He seemed to be enjoying the dark atmosphere while closing his eyes. The shadows of the faces of the person she so longed for felt so close and real, that it made Rina feel reluctant to open them.
There's no answer. Rina frowned confusedly as the sound of the footsteps sounded different from Heni's. He was silent for a while as if thinking, if who came to his room late at night like this. A faint smile was engraved on the lips that were still pale, when the name of the husband flashed.
"Aryan?" Rina opened her eyes while looking back, but it turned out that her hope fell back to the bottom when she saw that the one standing there was not Arya.
"nurse?" Lina muttered softly, repeating her guess which turned out to be wrong. She saw her ex-husband standing up in a messy-looking shirt and grumpy eyes.
Anjas smiled faintly, trying not to show his sorrow to Rina. She accidentally takes Bintang to the same hospital where Lina is being treated, so she can bring Bintang to meet with Rina.
"I'm bothering you, aren't I?" ask Anjas slowly.
"E-not really, sit down," said Rina as she shifted her seat to face Anjas completely.
Anjas nodded, then sat down on the available chair near Rina's gurney.
"What's the matter, how come you're here once a night?" asked Rina without any suspicion at all to Anjas.
Anjas smiled back while slightly bowing his head, he felt funny with his current actions. At first she only wanted to see Lina's condition secretly, but when she found out that she was alone, she instead took advantage of the situation to meet the woman.
"There's something I want to talk to you about, Rin," said Anjas slowly, with his head still lowered, as if it was heavy to bear.
Rina frowned confusedly, hearing Anjas' heavy voice. Rarely did he hear Anjas talk like that, making him wonder what he really wanted to tell him.
However, Rina just stared at Anjas without responding to his words, she only showed that she was ready to listen to what Anjas wanted to say.
"Ekhm!" Anjas cleared his throat slowly before beginning a story that would probably be very long and incised a wound back inside the heart of the woman in front of him.
"You must miss the stars, right?" tanya Anjas started the conversation.
Hearing that, Rina nodded quickly, not realizing that it was quite an awkward question, because she did not know that the Star was now with Anjas.
"Yes, I miss him a lot. But, every time I ask Heni to bring Bintang here, she always refuses because she says Bintang doesn't know I'm being cared for," answered Lina honestly, she even said that with a plain face, she even said that with a plain face, he chuckled softly before continuing his words.
"The Aryan family certainly do not want the stars sad, so they did not tell me that I was in an accident," continued Rina again.
Anjas heart again felt pain, looking at Rina who did not even know anything.
"No, Rina. Actually, Bintang knows you were in an accident and Bintang is no longer with the Aryan family" Anjas said regretfully.
The deg!
Lina's heart felt stopped beating for a while, when Anjas' speech sounded in the ears. He shook his head faintly with a sliced smile engraved on the woman's dry lips.
"A-what do you mean? Heni couldn't have lied to me!" Rina does not accept that Anjas accused her best friend of lying to her. It was impossible, because all this time he trusted Heni and Heni never lied to him.
"I'm not accusing Heni of lying, Rina. But please listen to me talk." Anjas seemed to calm down Rina who was starting to panic.
"Alright, I'll listen, but don't try to make Heni and the Aryans ugly in my eyes, Anjas. Because it can never happen," said Rina gave a hard warning to Anjas.
Anjas smiled faintly, he did not expect that the current Rina was so resolute and protected the person he cared about so boldly.
"Yes, I understand," Anjas replied while nodding surely. He did not intend to do that, he just wanted to explain the situation now and hope that Rina could understand the decision he took.
