PART 18'S

Emma slowly rose from the slump. Although her relationship with her husband has not been clarified, Emma still tries to behave normally. He did not want to hurt the feelings of his children because he knew his children loved his father very much and Richard was a loving father figure and very responsible to his children. Although their relationship is still unclear, their communication is not good but Richard never forgets his obligations. Monthly salary is always given full to Emma of course not like the first that he directly gave to Emma, now he gives it secretly. While Emma was not in Richard's room, he took advantage of the opportunity to fill Emma's wallet with rupiah sheets. He is not a stingy or calculating husband. All financial responsibilities are entrusted to Emma. Emma was not surprised when she suddenly saw some money in her wallet because she knew her husband's habits. No human being is perfect, all must have made mistakes as well as Richard, but if the same mistake is repeated it is already outrageous. This made Emma unable to trust him anymore.

Day after day went by, Richard was still struggling to make things right, and one side of Emma began to change. The deep pain, and the betrayal many times turned him into a cold person. Emma, who used to be very considerate, is now acting foolishly, who used to worry that her husband would be late for work, now does not care. Emma even stopped asking for news, reminding her husband to eat on time.

His fatality was not only his attitude that changed but his feelings were slowly changing. She became unsympathetic with her husband, her affection and love slowly fading away, jealousy lost. Emma has reached the height of patience.

He used to be so afraid of losing but now he seems ready to lose. He no longer cares about people's stories. He was quieter than usual but his silence was not a good silence. All the wounds and pains he had been suffering made him a vengeful man. A gentle, loving and caring figure has now turned vindictive, and full of mystery. No one can guess his thoughts and heart. His attitude was very contrary to his heart. He was able to perform well covering up the anger and grudges that were burning in his heart. Emma failed to control herself, she failed to control her heart. Whose fault is it if this is the case?

A heart full of warmth now turned icy cold. One day Richard became ill.

Usually if Richard is sick Emma is always on standby to take care of him, Emma immediately takes him to the doctor, cooks his favorite food, comforts him and always prays for him.

But Emma is not the old Emma anymore.

Not a bit of Emma asked Richard's condition, she never saw her husband's situation up close. She let Richard get cold from a fever, and he did not even offer her a glass of water. Until the 5th day her husband was still unable to work, his body was weak, he could not eat well, but he tried to take care of himself. Emma didn't even talk to him.

Behind Emma's silence she has a plan to avenge her husband. She wanted her husband to feel what he was feeling.

One night. Emma and her children are asleep. Richard sat alone on the porch. He was still sick, his body was still limp but he was trying to be strong. He looks a little thinner.

" oh thank God he's alive, he's scared me to death.

But for what I care, he's been so mean to me, I've been so stupid to worry about him."

Emma spoke in her heart.

She planned to leave her husband for granted, but somehow her love re-emerged, she could not bear.

She shook her husband's shoulder slowly without making a sound. Soon her husband slowly opened his eyes, finding Emma staring at his worried face. He was so shocked.

Richard : baby? since when are you here? haven't you slept?

Emma: Sleep in the room. Come on I'll help you stand up.

Emma tried to help her husband to stand up. Suddenly she stopped, and immediately she placed her hand on her husband's forehead. Very hot, Richard has a fever. In a hurry Emma helped her to head to the room and lay her husband on the bed. She immediately went to the kitchen to fetch warm water and to compress her husband. There was a sense of happiness in Richard's heart, at least he had seen himself Emma still cared for him.

" I'm doing this so you'll recover quickly because the kids need you "

Suddenly Emma said while enveloping her husband's body. Richard was not surprised to hear Emma's words. He's used to Emma's cynical answers.

" go to sleep don't scare me anymore. If anything bad happens to you, I'm not responsible. "

Emma continued her conversation while walking towards her bed.
