PART 13 (illness )
Kring.kring.kring Emma's phone rings, Emma immediately heads to the room to pick up her phone.
Her mother-in-law called her, Emma looked around to make sure no one was home around, she didn't want anyone else listening to her talk with her mother-in-law . He locked the door and immediately received his call.
"*hallo ma, how are you? "
"hallo son..mama is fine, how about you? mom, do you hope you are healthy? mama's been talking to Richard, mama's been talking to him a lot, he's apologizing to mama, mama's been reminding him never to do that stupid thing. There is no word of SEPARATION between you, mama will not forgive him if he insists on parting with you. He who chooses you to be his wife, he must also take responsibility for you, do not worry son, keep praying, believe your relationship will not be destroyed as easily as that*."
Emma was silent for a while after hearing her mother-in-law's words.
" ma.thank you for everything ma, I'm glad you've spoken to Richard I'm relieved ma, but I'm sorry ma, not that I don't appreciate your good intentions and efforts, mama, but I don't want Richard to change just because of your mother's request, even if he changes I want the change to come from himself, from his heart's intentions, I don't want her to be forced to obey her mother as the mother who gave birth to her. I just asked Mama to pray for us so that we could find a solution to all the problems we were facing. I'm glad you've advised Richard, I hope Richard changes but if he stays on his decision, I'm resigned, I'm strong . I love her so much and appreciate her, I'd appreciate her choice if it's the best for her."
Emma answered while sobbing. Emma is very sensitive.Every time there is a conversation related to her husband her tears will surely flow. He tried to be strong, but reality said something else. She was hurt deeper and deeper, her husband had changed even more.
No more smiles, jokes and laughter.
Emma was shattered, until one day Emma suddenly collapsed and was taken to the hospital. Her husband was not home at the time. Upon realising she found herself in the IGD room and she tried to contact her husband just to ask for help looking after their children. Several times she tried but her husband's number was always busy.
Doctors advised Emma to rest while in the hospital.
She fell asleep for a while and woke up feeling that someone was holding her leg, she opened her eyes slowly and saw her husband standing on the edge of the bed holding his leg.
" are you awake? how are you doing now? what's wrong with you? why did he suddenly faint?"
Emma was silent. She did not answer her husband's question, her heart was very sick. Suddenly her husband approached her and whispered,
"are you pretending to be sick so I care about you? so I can feel sorry for you? please don't bother me, even if you really can't change my decision, please don't torture yourself."
Richard is so heartless, at times like this he still hurts Emma's feelings.
Emma was still silent, she kept her eyes closed, her chest tight, she tried to stay strong but she lost, she could not bear the pain in her heart, she said,unable to be dammed again drop by drop his tears fell, and finally flowed profusely.the pain grew his heartache, for the umpteenth time he was wounded again and again.
Richard was cruel, as a husband. It really has changed.
