Chapters. 97: Prepare for Ning Zahra's Funeral

After arriving at Laila's room, Aida immediately sat herself in the most comfortable position while leaning on the headboard. "Thank you La, help me" Aida said sincerely to her best friend.

"Sir Umar called, I picked it up first," said Laila, sliding the green phone picture button. And then pressing the load speaker button, that's how Laila's habit when receiving or making calls with her brother when beside her there is Aida.

"Assalamu'alaikum sis," said Laila first, looking at Aida. Aida was silently listening.

"Wa'alaikumsalam dik," replied the masculine voice across there, "dik, just called my brother to the number but not in the lift.."

Uncompleted gus Umar spoke, Laila has cut him off. "Change again lead tahlil in the hall brother, maybe soon finished. What's up, brother?" Ask Laila.

"Oh yes, emmm. please later if it is done tahlil, tell me the same abah and umi if Zahra's mother has just died," said Gus Umar with a choked voice..

"That's it, dik, assalamu'alaikum," continued Gus Umar, who was like he had no power to speak anymore. And Gus Umar immediately ended his call, without waiting for a reply from the brother.

"Innalillahi wainnailaihi raaji'uun,,," said Aida, who was then followed by Laila.

The reading of Istirja' is a fragment of the letter of Al-Baqarah verse 156 which means; "We belong to Allah, and to Allah we also return."

Which means: "We belong to Allah and to Him we return. And to our Lord we shall return. O Allah, write him with You among those who do good. Make his note at ‘illiyyin, the place of return of good people. Give it to the family left behind. Do not forbid for us his reward, and do not slander us afterwards."

This prayer is mentioned in the book of Adzkar Imam Nawawi. This prayer as a form of prayer so that the deceased is given the best place at His side while reminding us of death that only God knows. This prayer also implies hope and protection to the family left behind. *)

While in the family room, Laila who walked hastily to the umi made nyai Robi'ah wonder, "what's the matter? Aida's fine, right?" Asked nyai Robi'ah, who was worried about Aida's condition because before entering the room Retno had said things that might make Aida sad again.

Right in the yard, Laila saw her brother was walking towards her with Pak Karyo, Pak Dibyo, Ryan and his father, and two santri kang.

"What's ning?" Ask kyai Abdullah, who realizes that her daughter is waiting for her arrival with a sad face.

"Mbak Zahra bah,," for a moment Laila stopped her speech, "the last of Brother Umar called Laila, if Zahra had just died," Laila said in a choked voice, ning Zahra for two years has been part of his family, and of course the departure of ning Zahra still leaves sadness in the heart of the family kyai Abdullah, including Laila.
