27. Bian's Approach

Rejecting what we really want to accept turns out to be a tough thing

*******

Half the journey of Bukit Asri can be reached by vehicle. All vehicles must stop at the parking lot provided. All visitors must continue their journey up the hill on foot.

There are also visitors using bicycles or running from the bottom of the hill just because our goal is not to exercise then use the car.

Especially when I was in the parking lot that was sought was a food stall lined up not far from the parking lot.

"Where are you going?." Dewo asked in surprise as I took a different direction from them.

"You guys go first I want breakfast because hurry we haven't had time for breakfast ntar I'm going up"

"It's impossible to follow, you'll be waiting here"

"Fine right Dewo, let's have breakfast first. Your brother is still in recovery." Bian approached me. I took a breath and did not offer him breakfast. My real desire to avoid Bian is not to be reluctant to walk up.

"Recovery of what he's been eating a lot more"

"Eating regularly exactly." I pulled Dewo so he could walk beside me. It turned out that Bian was not walking beside Dewo but beside me. Be the roundest of these two.

We chose the chicken porridge shop. Bian helped me open the bottle tea cap.

"Pearl.. Orchid Brother usually open using Bian's kok kak teeth". I glanced at Dewo who, without feeling guilty, resumed his chicken porridge breakfast.

Me and Bian spent the chicken porridge in silence. This time Bian sat opposite me, he was next to Dewo because of this position I ate slowly.

"Tumben eat it gracefully usually hap.. hap." Dewo came back with a shitty joke.

"You want to follow me home by car brother or ntar brother stay here." I pretended to threaten Dewo.

"Sonly will you be able to go home together with Brother Bian?." Dewo laughed out loud with his own chatter. I stole a glance at Bian whose smile made my heart spur quickly.

"Do you have a sister, Bian? If you don't have it, take my sister." I threw Dewo with a tissue that the boy caught in action style.

"Sister, I'm thirsty to grab another drink. You want?". I shook my head so did Bian. Dewo left us heading to the drink cooler next to the cashier.

"I'm the youngest child and I don't mind if Dewo is my sister, but just so he's my brother means he has to be my wife". I coughed listening to Bian. Smooth chicken porridge feels like a lump in the esophagus.

"I've guessed you need a drink, let's not choke it's been said to eat slowly." Dewo's back from the drink cooler and I'll grab a drink from Dewo's hand. In an instant the drink was a toilet.

I stood up from my seat rushing to pay and ran away from Bian. Actually just embarrassing one sentence makes me groggy. Without even expecting a single step from Bian had already blocked me.

"I'm not the little boy you pay to eat, Nggrek." Bian went ahead to the cashier and made me stare at Bian's back. Bian's words evoke a memory that dragged me into the past.

When I was with Adiwarna while in college I was the one who often paid for food. The habit continued until Adiwarna's efforts began to show results and his economic condition improved. From that moment on we took turns to pay for each meal.

"You're dreamy, aren't you?." Shadow Adiwarna changed Bian's beautiful face. I looked at Bian who was standing in front of me.

"Oh yeah, where's Dewo?." I distract Bian. He pointed outside the food stall. Dewo is ready with the device to take video of the surrounding situation.

"Yuk Cepetan sis mumpung still early in the morning ntar keburu rame." Dewo waved at us.

The view over Bukit Asri is very beautiful. The water flow from above and then break down in the rocks to form a small waterfall flow. Honey I don't bring a change of clothes so I can just dip my feet in the water.

Little fish around my feet. I was waiting for Bian and Dewo who were taking photos on the edge of the waterfall.

My feet move causing water gurgling. This condition drains the feeling of calm that infiltrates the heart, the cool air, the sound of water, the whirring of the wind and a handsome-looking man. Handsome face??.

I was shocked when Bian was by my side. Next to Bian, Dewo is still busy with his new camera. He did not stop asking, I was relieved that Dewo had never been far away with me so as to keep his distance from Bian.

By noon we decided to go home because Bukit Asri began to look crowded. This time Bian volunteered to drive the car. An offer that I obviously did not refuse rather than being alone in the front seat was better I was alone in the back seat.

"Sister, wake. Very fast molornya even though the ideals have a slim body like Blackpink lisa." Dewo's voice surprised me. I immediately realized when looking out the window it turned out we stopped at a seafood stall ago.

"Eat first yuk is almost twelve noon". Without waiting for an answer from me. They both got out of the car. I followed the two tall steps in haste. They did not realize the long legs had wide steps.

I threw myself in the chair not too long waiting, Our order has arrived at the table.

"I'm cutting back on food." I pointed towards the plate before Dewo teased me when he saw the smaller portion than usual.

This time Dewo saved me. He did not stop asking which photo was the best. I dare not look at Bian who is in front of me.

Until we finished eating at the seafood stall. There wasn't much conversation between me and Bian.

I thank you for the Bian deal. Bian initially planned to book a taxi online. He wasn't nice to drive home because to get back to Bian's house we had to turn around.

It's just that Dewo was so determined to take Bian home. Actually I was reluctant to worry about meeting Danar at their house but I don't think we just picked up Bian at the housing gate so he must have stopped at the gate.

Turns out I was wrong because the steering wheel was in Bian's hands it turns out he entered the housing. My heart beats faster. We've arrived at Bian's house. Minimalist house with a slick garden without a fence. Bian offered to stop by which I immediately refused.

I moved from the rear passenger position to the front seat as fast as lightning. After your excuse with Bian. I immediately hit the gas, Mengebut escape from Bian's fierce and spicy-mouthed brother.

******

Since from Bukit Asri Bian often send messages just asking for news. I only reply occasionally even though my heart seems to want to rebel to continue typing words to him.

Danar's words remind us of the state of this relationship. Bian in an arranged marriage, did he reject that match?. I don't know at all, am I really special to Bian because I started to feel Bian's cold nature melt away when it was near me.

The sound of knocking on the door followed Mama who entered the room awakened me in the inner struggle to reply to the message from Bian or not.

"Nggrek, can you accompany Mama to Grandma's house?." My grandmother's house was two hours from our house.

"When, Ma?"

"Mama's plans tomorrow coincide with Miepa's holiday and unyu booth. Papa is wfo while Dewo has assignments from his school. We're both gone for three days."

"Yes, Ma. Orchids can later be coordinated to Nando, Bang Ipul, Rika and Natasha for the next three days"

"Makasih Nggrek's. Mama wants to prepare for the departure tomorrow"

I leaned myself in the head of the bed. We did routinely visit Grandma usually with a complete formation but this time because Papa and Dewo were unable to be alone with Mama.

These three days I could at least avoid Bian because of how many times he wanted to visit I always refused. I'm afraid Bian is desperate to come to meet Dewo. My sister this one is so cute that she can be friends across ages.

*********

The bright atmosphere makes the trip together with Mama so fun. We haven't spent a long time together. Stopping at the diner or at the food store made our luggage a lot.

Grandma and Grandpa were very happy to welcome both of us.

I threw myself in Grandma's bed in Mama's room as a girl. Photos of my mother are still in this room. Seraut beautiful face in the form of a female version of Dewo.

Time passed by so quickly that Mama's room left only empty space when Mama returned to her family.

I pray that I can live my day like my grandparents. Passing through old age the two are in good health though I'm sure they must have missed the times when voices were crowded when children were little.

It's just that the wheel of life keeps turning. As much as possible we routinely visit Grandpa and Grandma because of other Mama's brothers outside this province so they can not visit every month.

The two-hour trip made my body tired and my eyes started to get sleepy. I was asleep in the cradle of a beautiful dream about a future family.
