BLAM!
Francisco closed the door to his room slowly. The man looked calm, unlike Aphrodite who currently looked very nervous. This is arguably his first night with Francisco after they officially became a couple. That means the first night they slept in the same room.
Aphrodite was silent there. He gulped down his hard spit, his heart pounding, he somehow had to talk to Francisco. She is not ready for everything every newlywed does on their first night.
Aphrodite was creeping her nightgown, she was really nervous at the moment.
"Why are you standing?" Francisco asked who in an instant shocked him.
"A-ah? Yea?" Panicked, he spontaneously turned towards Francisco, who was now standing behind him, looking at Aphrodite with a confused look.
"Why are you so surprised?"
"W-w-w-w-w-w-w-w-w-w-w-w-w-w-w-w-w-w that.." Aphrodite fell silent, still trying to calm herself.
"You okay?" Asked Francisco who now changed his face anxious.
"Frans..there's something I want to talk to you about before I go to bed" murmured Aphrodite softly. He lowered his head.
"What's? Just say it."
"A-I.." Aphrodite stammered, her hands creeping up her nightgown, making it tangle.
"Why? Are you sick? Do I need to get a doctor to check on you?" Francisco placed the back of his hand on Aphrodite's forehead, ensuring her body temperature was normal.
"T-no. I'm not sick." Aphrodite shook her head quickly.
"Then what?" Francisco doesn't understand.
"I-I'm not ready to do it with you yet" he said in his final words, which he accelerated. Francisco was stunned when Aphrodite spoke so quickly that she could barely understand. But fortunately he understood every word that had just come out of his lips.
Francisco smiled at what he had just heard. Aphrodite glanced at Francisco through the tip of her lashes. He then raised his head when he heard Francisco's voice chuckle in front of him.
Aphrodite looked at him with a puzzled look. "Why are you chuckling?" Aphrodite asked as she frowned.
"I think what do you want to talk to me about" Francisco said with a smile.
"Are you not angry or disappointed in me?" Aphrodite asked confusedly.
"No." Francisco shook his head making Aphrodite even more confused. It should be that by this time Francisco's reaction was angry and disappointed in him, but this was all beyond his expectations. "Do you know why I'm not angry?"
Aphrodite shook her head in response. He did not understand the reason why Francisco was not angry with him.
"Because I know, it's still hard for you and you can't fully accept all of this yet. So I'm not gonna force you to do it. And I'll be patient to wait for you until you're really ready." Francisco stared fixedly at Aphrodite's bead. Facing with him.
Aphrodite lowered her head, not daring to look at Fransisco for longer.
"After all, I don't want you to do any of that just because you want to fulfill your duty and do your part well as a wife. But I want you to do it because you really love me."
Aphrodite was getting bad. His heart broke when once again Francisco's attitude managed to make him feel guilty for his attitude to the man who even always treated himself very well.
"Sorry.." murmured Aphrodite softly. Only that word was able to be ejected from his lips.
"You don't have to apologize. Now you better get some sleep. Oh yeah, if you don't feel comfortable sleeping in one bed with me tonight, I can sleep on the couch."
"A-ah no need. If you sleep on the couch, it makes me feel more guilty and worse about you" Aphrodite murmured.
"Why should you feel bad? And why do you feel guilty? I'm fine."
"It can't be. Moreover, we have just been married and it is not good if we sleep in one room but we sleep separately. At least I should be able to get used to all that, because from today onwards, I will sleep one room with you" Aphrodite said softly.
"Then let's go to sleep. It's already night."
"Nl." Aphrodite nodded her head. He then stepped over to his bed with Francisco following him from behind.
...*...
Time pass. The clock on the wall had shown ten o'clock at night, but Aphrodite was still unable to close her eyes. The more he tried to fall asleep the harder it was for both eyes to close.
"Huft~ I really can't sleep" murmured Aphrodite as she opened her eyes. He then changed his sleeping position to supine, staring at the ceiling of his room which now looks dark.
Aphrodite's focus shifted to Francisco, who was now lying next to her. The man fell asleep very soundly, he looked so calm when in his current state.
Aphrodite looked at him. The deeper he looked at the man, the greater the guilt he felt.
Aphrodite woke up from her bed after she felt unable to fall asleep. He walked towards the door to his bedroom. Step outside and stand behind the iron fence that was there. Both eyes looked towards the garden which was located right adjacent to their room.
"I'm sorry I still can't be a good wife" she murmured softly. Very slowly as a whisper. Only the wind of the night could hear his voice.
"Geez, what are you doing out here?" Fransisco's voice suddenly interrupted his eardrum, causing Aphrodite to be startled and spontaneously turn to the man standing at the entrance.
"A-ah.. Frans, did I wake you?"
"No. But what are you doing outside? Come on in, it's cold in here. The night air is not good for your body." Francisco approached Aphrodite, grabbed her body and led her inside.
"I just can't sleep. So I'm looking for some fresh air for a bit" he murmured.
"Don't go out too often at night, the air is not good" said Francisco who then closed the door to the veranda of his room. He led Aphrodite towards the bed. "Now you're sleeping, huh?" Sluggishly.
"I can't sleep."
"Then do I need to help you get to sleep?"
"How?"
"I'll sing you a song so you can sleep. How's it?" Ask Francisco. Aphrodite chuckled listening.
"Well, can you sing?"
"You underestimated your husband?" Francisco looked at him in disbelief.
