It is time that all they have been through has ended. Especially if you remember that the man who was loved by him was now the husband of someone else. Of course Aphrodite did not want to be stamped as an actor or a seductress by someone else. Aphrodite preferred to free the man, although he had to be trapped in a pit of pain that would somehow end. And Aphrodite preferred to raise a child in her own womb without the help of her biological father, after all; no one knew that she had been pregnant with Xavier's child.
"Starting today as well." Aphrodite looked up at Xavier in front of her with courage. Although his tightness got worse he felt when he looked at the handsome man's face. But anyway, Aphrodite had to look at him one last time and look at him to make the man sure that his words were sincere. "…We broke up" he continued after pausing his last sentence.
What Aphrodite said succeeded in making Xavier surprised instead of playing. The man really did not believe what had just been thrown from the lips of the woman who was his lover. It hurt, especially when it came to the fact that Aphrodite was the one who asked him first. Xavier stepped up, eroding the distance between himself and the woman of his tribe.
"No. I don't want to break up with you" he refused as he approached Aphrodite. Meanwhile, Aphrodite stepped back slowly. Reluctant to get close to Xavier who has broken her heart and love.
"But we have to! Now your status is no longer mine, because you have chosen another woman to be with you at the wedding altar. Then let me go and let me be happy with another man."
"No, I can't let you go. I really love you, Dite!"
"But you can't! And I don't want to keep in touch with you, my heart will continue to feel broken. I don't want to feel that. So let me go, and you better focus on your own life and stop thinking about me or loving me. Remove everything about me from your memory!" Aphrodite emphasized the end sentence.
"No! I don't want to!"
"And before I go, there is one thing I want to tell you" Aphrodite wiped her tears that kept flowing down her cheeks. "Congratulations on your marriage. I hope you're happy with your choice, and good-bye. I hope we never see each other again for good" Aphrodite left, wanting to leave the place immediately, but Xavier, who kept asking for time to explain, kept her on hold.
"Dite! Wait!" Xavier clasped Aphrodite's wrist, making the woman's footsteps stop in an instant. Xavier stared at Aphrodite with his eyes already glazed over earlier, it was obvious that the man was trying to hold back his tears from coming out.
Aphrodite didn't want to ignore all that. His heart had been hardened, and his determination had already been completely unanimous. Just like what Jenia had said to him, that such a jerk like her was nothing to think about, because one day Aphrodite would meet with him instead. And when instead of being present, it is he who will heal the heart wound he is currently feeling.
Hardly pushed aside the man's hand, making the grip of his hand loose just like that. Aphrodite walked with large strides, with her head bowed and tears that had not stopped coming out. He stepped up quickly, leaving Xavier behind.
Xavier who saw Aphrodite who was stepping away from him, rushed he moved to chase after her; however something made his stride come to a halt. And he abandoned his intention to pursue Aphrodite, and only looked at her until the figure of the woman was completely lost among the throngs of people passing by.
"Just stop here sir" Aphrodite told the taxi driver she was riding. The driver then nodded while stopping the speed of his car on a road that is not too crowded, Aphrodite then went out after paying. After Aphrodite came out, the taxi driver drove back the car he was driving away from where Aphrodite had come down.
Aphrodite slowly stepped on the path that now seemed not too lonely. Only a few people who lived there passed each other around. Aphrodite ignored them and decided to keep going. The clock now shows at half-four. After a long drive from the park to the house, Aphrodite decided to stop a few blocks from where she lived. Aphrodite accidentally stopped a few blocks from her home, because she wanted to leave on foot. Counting to hide her heartbreak from her mother and step-sister.
Aphrodite turned right when she met the T-junction before her. He is now walking on a lonely road. No one passed there, only he was walking under the bright lights of the street.
His heart was still broken, and his tears had been continuously coming out since then; but at least his tears this time were not as hard as before. Now her appearance was completely chaotic, the make-up she was wearing even faded and her eyes were swollen from crying for hours.
After walking far enough, Aphrodite finally could see her house there. Aphrodite stepped into the gate of her house and immediately entered her house which was still not locked there.
BLAM!
Aphrodite closed the door of her house of origin, the next second she sauntered towards her room. In the family room, Aphrodite saw her stepbrother and stepmother. He ignored it and kept moving.
"You're home yet?" Helen said as the woman stepped into the house and left for her room without saying a word.
"Yes" said Aphrodite lazily without turning her head. He continued walking until he arrived at the door of his room.
BLAM!
The door closed roughly, creating quite a loud noise. Arriving inside, Aphrodite fell silent. Still standing at the door leaning against the now closed door. And now, after all that had happened; finally he came back crying. Crying with a cry that is more loose than before. He sat down on the floor leaning against the entrance there. Her tears were almost dry, as if coming back as hard as before when she saw her lover sitting on the wedding altar with another woman.
Still tight and heavy when remembering if his love story should end with this pain. His chest was really tight and he kept sobbing. Devastated, completely crushed as if unceremonious; that was how he felt in his heart. What made him even more devastated was not about the betrayal Xavier had committed against him, but also about the fact that he had to slap him. Keeps her thinking if she is pregnant.
