Aphrodite landed her ass on the chair that became her desk. After lunch with Vier, they soon part ways to continue their respective work. It is unfortunate indeed, they can only meet in the sidelines of a very limited time just to be able to let go of each other's longing.
Aphrodite put a bouquet of flowers in her grasp onto the table. The look on his face was gloomy, he was disappointed in himself because in the end he chose to undo his intention to speak truthfully with Vier.
Again I stall for time, thought Aphrodite, who leaned her head against the table she was sitting on.
His head felt dizzy, and he began to feel nauseous. There were so many thoughts approaching him, which made him continue to feel tense without being able to relax a little. His worries left Aphrodite overcome with fear, and hesitancy to speak truthfully to Vier.
"Pst!" Jenia Paxton, showing her head between her cubicles. He glanced at his friend who sat down with a look of that gloomy face.
Aphrodite glanced at Jenia who was sitting right next to her cubicle. "Why do you look so moody? Didn't you just meet Vier? You should be happy after meeting her, right?"
"I'm fine, I'm just a little tired." Aphrodite countered sluggishly.
"Really?" Jenia ascertains. Aphrodite nodded softly in response.
Jenia moved, she pushed her wheelchair towards Aphrodite's desk and sat right next to her. He folded his hands in front of the table that Aphrodite occupied. His eyes fell on the woman sitting in front of him.
"Anyway, what did you guys do? What are you guys talking about?" Jenia curious.
"Nothing interesting. We're just talking about the usual stuff."
"Oh yeah? I'm not sure it's just like that. There's gotta be something you're hiding from me, right?" Jenia stared in full search at her best friend.
"I told you there wasn't."
"Oh, come…"
Jenia's words were cut off when the loud sound of a file being thrown violently grabbed her attention.
Aphrodite was shocked, her ears almost deaf due to the sound she heard. He got up, fixed his position and looked up at the direction of the sound.
Aphrodite and Jenia looked in the same direction, looking at the figure of the man standing before her with a look of annoyance.
"All the reports you've been working on are wrong! Even I was scolded all out by Mr. Harry!" with a face full of emotion.
"What?" Aphrodite showed a puzzled look on her face, staring at the file the man had just thrown at her. Aphrodite checked the contents, and it turned out that there was indeed a mistake she made in her work.
"I don't want to know! You must complete the revision as soon as possible, lest our division be tarnished by name just because of you!" Resenting.
"Alright, I'm really sorry, sir."
"Sorry, it won't solve everything. Next time you can't focus, you better stop working! Trouble people." The man left Aphrodite and Jenia who were silent without a word.
"Aish really sucks, her attitude makes me unable to stand it. I feel like I want to beat him up with my martial skills!" Jenia clenched her hands. His fist was already raised ready to punch the man who had even disappeared from his sight.
"Here you go, ignore it. I was wrong anyway" Aphrodite said, trying to calm him down.
"But he really sucks!"
