THE WOMAN ON MY WEDDING DAY

THE WOMAN ON MY WEDDING DAY
PART 8 A BROAD HEART

PRANGS!!

The sound of plates being slammed could be heard from inside the kitchen.

"What's this?" Gisel's voice was blaring after him.

"What's this?" Asha ran inside the kitchen, finding Gisel who was waist-rigged in front of the table while in front of her Laras looked frightened with a face as red as a boiled crab, on the floor the broken dishes were scattered like they were being thrown deliberately.

"He makes omelets with no taste at all! Or he deliberately wanted to poison me." Gisel pointed his index finger at Laras. This responsible girl was already dressed in uniform as if she was going to go to school.

"Let me cook it." Asha glanced at Laras, gesturing for the woman to step aside immediately.

"Bik Irah, please clean the broken plate. I'll cook an egg omelet for Gisel." Asha took the wok from Bik Irah's hand.

"He's not a becus, brother. What the hell could he be?" Gisel nagged while pointing at the as-wanted Laras.

"She's just pregnant, Gisel. Maybe his tongue and sense of smell are being sensitive due to hormones, so understand..." Asha mediated while trying to smile at Gisel.

"But sister, the time to make an omelet alone she can't." Gisel still showed his regret in front of Asha.

"I'm going to make a nice onion omelette for you, so you just get ready, I'll be down in a minute, you go to school with your sister, right?" Asha asked to divert the conversation.

Gisel's round eyes looked at Asha and Laras alternately, his mouth comat kamit as if he was nagging.

"By the way, you better clean yourself up. I'll help make Irah prepare breakfast this morning." Asha began to be busy peeling the onions, without looking at Asha and Gisel.

"But, sis..." Gisel interrupted with a frown.

"Gisel, you just wait at the dinner table. Breakfast is ready soon. Ask me to call you and mama." Asha did not care about Gisel who was protesting loudly to her. He tried to throw the teenage girl out of the kitchen.

Gisel stomped his feet with an annoyed face, he scowled looking at the lowered Asha with a sigh. Then with a pouting mad face she passed from inside the kitchen.

"Laras..kid you hear what I say? Go take a shower, and come down for breakfast. Let me help you prepare breakfast."

"But, mbak..."

"Pregnant mothers are not good at crying a lot, not good for the baby." Seloroh Asha while slicing onions.

"I just want to help."

"I know, you want to help, but you better not be in the kitchen this morning."

"I'm not good, ma'am..."

"It's okay, your status is also the daughter-in-law in this house. You better take care of your health and the child you bear."

"Thank you, ma'am..." Laras bowed his body to Asha while wiping away his tears. Gisel's shout seemed to have succeeded in making Laras completely frightened.

Barrel walked out of the kitchen immediately with the gaze of Irah, the household assistant of the Pramudian family. She knew Asha well, before marrying Gading, Asha had often visited the family home of her future in-laws carried by Ivory. Especially when engaged, Asha is often present to help if there is a family event. Asha is a diligent, smart and independent girl. She is also very good at cooking.

Bik Irah also likes to chat with the friendly and kind-hearted Asha.

"Miss Asha..."

"Yes, bik."

"Why does non-Asha defend the woman that Mother and non-Gisel kuntilanak say?"

"Hush, don't call people careless, bik. He's human too, you know."

"But non Gisel said he was teasing Den Ivory while drunk, then held the Ivory den accountable. It should be non Asha don't let him marry den Ivory..."

"But, non.he got pregnant because of his own fault. How do you expect an unknown man?"

"Bik Irah's..." Asha lifted her face from the onion in her hand.

"It was not only his fault but also his Ivory mas fault, I could not allow my husband to leave his flesh-blood out of his responsibility. A wife must also cover her husband's disgrace, for the husband's disgrace is also the wife's disgrace." Asha's voice paused for a moment as if he was taking a breath.

"I don't know what happened behind all this, but Mas Gading did sleep with him. The boy in his birth, alive and needing a father, no matter what his parents did, he was innocent at all. One day he was born without a father, and what would he say to the world? I can't bear to scratch the fate of a child becoming an orphan, because I was once a child without parents." Asha spoke in a soft voice, a line of smiles still decorating her lips.

Bik Irah was stunned to see the woman who was now busy breaking eggs into the bowl.

He did not know, the heart of his master's wife, so vast. Not many women dare to be in that position, allowing a woman to be his honey even be so sincere.

"Non Asha why aren't you so good?"

Bik Irah lit the stove and prepared a frying pan there, while Asha answered nothing.

...***...

Asha handed her Ivory briefcase and kissed her husband's hand, taking off to work this morning with a bright face.

The face of Ivory was no less exciting, still remembered how last night he spent the first night with his wife so happy.

"I'll go first." A kiss landed on Asha's forehead.

"I'm home early today." Ivory smirked at him making Asha blush for a moment.

"Assalammulaikum, dear."

"Waallaikumsalam, mas."

The tusks rose when suddenly Baras appeared down from the top floor. The sound of his steps suddenly stopped, making Asha and Ivory bewildered for a moment at him.

"Come.come home..." Asha looked at Laras who was suddenly hesitant to go down, even though he had reached the middle of the stairs.

"Please take Ivory mas to the door, I want..." Asha tried to melt the atmosphere of seeing the tail of Ivory eyes that seemed to dislike the presence of Laras.

"No need, I can leave without getting between." Ivory interrupts Asha's sentence.

"Gisel was waiting in the car, I drove him first, he was late. Mr. Didin's on leave, nobody's driving for him."

A moment later, Ivory turned around, completely indifferent to the gaze of the two women who were now his wife.

"Mas, later in the afternoon if you have free time, send Laras to the obstetrician or midwife, he should check the pregnancy properly." Asha spoke while holding Ivory's arm, before the man walked over.

"I'm busy, baby. Just tell him to go alone."
