THE WOMAN ON MY WEDDING DAY

THE WOMAN ON MY WEDDING DAY
PART 17 FACES MORE THAN ONE

Asha looked down while squeezing her own hands, glancing at the unblinking Laras staring at Ivory.

"Before you drop your talaq on Laras, can you say something?" Suddenly, Daniah's mother interjected.

Ivory who was about to continue his conversation instantly fell silent.

"Give Baras a chance to talk?"

Asha lifted her face, looking at her mother-in-law who seemed to pay no attention to her.

Of course, all remain shocked by the attitude of Daniah's mother, all this time they know Asha's in-laws hate Laras very much.

"Speak what?" Ivory frowned his forehead.

"It's not fair to run him without giving him a chance to speak. She has conceived and given birth to your child, do not make it like a bag of crackles, after you take the contents and throw them in the trash." The sentence sounded sharp, though it was conveyed in a low tone.

"Mama...? Mama's healthy?" Gisel glared at his mother, representing the astonishment of everyone.

"Gisel, there's no need to interfere. You're still a kid. You better not follow. You better go to your room. Your presence doesn't matter here." Daniah's mother replied to her youngest child's plot.

"But..." Gisel was about to protest, but the papa sitting next to him patted his daughter's shoulder slowly gestured for Gisel not to continue his debate with the mother.

"Darling, you better get in your room.Tomorrow you have to get up fast for school." Reproof sir Pamudia soft.

Gisel stood with a sour face, glancing at Laras.

"Is the child really your son? I see nothing similar." Oceh Gisel as he passed while hugging his bear doll.

As the look on Laras' face turned red, he lowered his head quickly.

"What do you want to say Laras?"

tanya Ivory with a heavy voice.

Laras lifted his face, turned to look at Mother Daniah for a moment.

"I don't want to say anything, ma'am.as an unlucky person I feel grateful Mr. Ivory has saved me from embarrassment, pregnant without a husband even though this is the son of Ivory sir.

But I'm well aware that Ivory sir doesn't want this kid either." Laras lowered his face looking at the baby in his hands who was sound asleep.

"I am also grateful, for 8 months this has been accommodated and cared for in this house, although sometimes I feel neglected but I am happy, being in this family. At least after Mr. Ivory divorced me, I have memories of having a family as good as this one." Tears suddenly fell on her cheeks, she let everyone see how the sadness she was showing now.

Asha was stunned by the look of Laras, looking completely different from her usual face in front of Asha. Impressed so clear even though he seemed a little excessive.

The eyes of Daniah's mother are seen shining with compassion on Laras.

"Only, I can't fulfill one thing, after this divorce. I can't leave Zyan. Although anything that might happen to me after Ivory sir is stalking me. I'll take Zyan with me." Barrel continued, his voice sounded so heavy.

"That's your decision, Laras. I won't stand in your way." Ivory said, making Laras silent for a moment, he did not expect a response from Ivory so arrogant in front of his parents.

"Ivoices? Don't you have any feelings at all? How will Laras support his son?" Ms. Daniah suddenly interjected.

"I gave him a choice, ma'am, but he wants it that way, I won't stop him, that's his son."

"But his son is also your son."

"He's chosen to take her, I think it's also true. A real mother is better off raising her than anyone else." Ivory flat-spoken.

"But he too.he's also my grandson."

All the more astonished by the change in attitude of Ms. Daniah, who turned 180 degrees, she tried to be a shield to thwart the farewell of Ivory and Laras.

"Mama? What's wrong with mom?" Ivory raised his eyebrows.

"I married Laras for saving the situation, and I didn't even have time to prove anything in my defense. And I have wasted enough of my time in taking responsibility for what I do not believe in, to make myself look human. The child may use my name, the child will receive my allowance, consider it the price of my innocence. But, I can't force myself to keep marrying Laras. I don't love him. Nothing can go well if we have no feelings. I'm not a love-sharing believer, who can give my heart to and fro. So, don't force me to change my mind!" The sentence was cold and firm, spoken from the mouth of a man who had been quiet with the situation that had already happened.

Ms. Daniah did not blink to look at Ivory while Mr. Pramudia was silent, she really could not interfere with her son's decision.

Sitting this problem has been wrong from the beginning and whatever happens after, like simalakama fruit. It cannot be judged, which is right which is wrong, which is the true victim to be pitied.

"You can divorce Baras but not now." Daniah's mother spoke with a loud look, against her son's reddened face when he heard her words.

"What does mama mean?"

"Before Asha became pregnant, I did not approve of your divorce with Laras." The answer of Ms. Daniah made Asha like she was struck by lightning.

His face flushed, he looked like a statue, not believing what he heard.

"Mr...! Why did my mom say that?" Ivory looked at his mother alternately with Asha, he felt anxious at Asha's response, hearing words that seemed to corner Asha.

"Ma, this is a child's household affair. We can't go too far. From the beginning we knew what was happening, and they had a mutual agreement. The ones who run the household are them, not us." Tegur Pak Pramudia.

"But I also have the right to give my opinion." Sahut bu Daniah's.

"Mama is not giving an opinion..." Sahut Gading, his pajamas sour did not expect his mother would behave so far.

For a moment all looked at each other, not least Laras who lifted his face from his head there was a sense of satisfaction that had flashed in the look of his face, before turning into a return.

Asha was able to catch it, because she was quite with Laras all along.

Now that Asha was beginning to worry, she was then unsure if Laras had more than one face. There was a strange mystery, which he suddenly realized just now. The barrel is not as innocent as it has been shown.

"Since Laras has been given the opportunity to speak, am I allowed to speak now?" The sound of the barrel vibrating breaks the tension.

"Because I'm the one who allowed their marriage, I just want to say, whatever Ivory mas thinks is best for her, that's what she's got to do. Including divorcing Laras tonight." Asha's normally soft voice sounded cold and different.
