THE WOMAN ON MY WEDDING DAY

THE WOMAN ON MY WEDDING DAY
PART 12 FELT NOTHING

It was past midnight, when Laras set his breath after closing his eyes with his body curved on the bed, passing a new contraction in nature.

"Will...does.. Mr. Ivory come here?" Laras' lips trembled as he asked the sentence, a question that made Asha speechless, only to blink his eyes looking at Laras who was wrongly drinking water from the bottle with a straw that Asha gave.

"Do you want the Ivory mas to be here?" Asha asked back, sounding emotionless.

"Ti..no.I'm just asking, don't get me wrong..."Baras put the bottle next to his pillow and closed it tightly.

Suddenly his face changed, showing a sudden attack of contraction.

Asha gave her hand to Laras, a nurse came to check and stated that the opening of the cervix had reached eight centimeters, the contractions that occurred increasingly unbearable. The barrel also looks exhausted because it has spent a lot of energy when contractions continue to occur.

"The time of childbirth is getting closer, the mother should have the support of her husband and family. This is very important so that the mother remains strong to give birth normally..." The nurse said.

"I'm his family, I'll be by his side." Asha answered quickly.

The nurse stared for a moment at Asha then nodded her head and prepared for a delivery that was expected to last less than two hours.

Contractions that appear more intense or frequent.

An hour later, the doctor ensures a complete opening, the barrel is ready for delivery. Cold sweat dripped through Laras' forehead, he struggled every time the contractions came, which now came almost every few minutes.

"Mr..." Laras held Asha's hand, with a tense face.

"It's okay...Everything's gonna be okay." Asha let Laras clutch and even clutch his arm.

"I'll be next to you, past all this Baras. Stay strong."

Laras had a very intense contraction, the look of his face that was in pain and fear even markedly refracted the feelings of nausea, trembling and fatigue.

"sickness..." The grimacing barrel collects its breath, as the doctor gives instructions for the position ready for delivery.

Asha was beside Laras, not even a step away from there as Laras struggled between life and death, to give birth to her child.

...***...

"Whose name?" Asha held the 3.07kg baby boy, looking cute with her eyes closed and half wriggling.

Two hours ago Laras had given birth to a sweet baby boy the morning after one night she held back contractions, Laras gave birth after the sound of morning prayers, right after Laras left the maternity room to perform dawn prayers.

In Asha's sincere do'a she actually asked for a smooth delivery for Laras and the mother and baby survived.

There was not the slightest bit of Asha's heartache, because he really had given everything that happened.

Especially after Laras gave birth maybe she will receive talaq from her husband, Asha is on two sides where as a human she feels relieved but as a creature who has a sincere heart, Asha is on two sides, he felt sorry for what he was about to experience.

"I don't know..." Laras answered softly, his voice almost unheard.

"Did you not have a name?"

"I don't know who to name him."

Asha smiled at Laras, her relieved look made her beautiful face radiant.

"Give him a good name, because the name is the do'a of the parents."

"I wish someone else had given him a name."Slowly, he sat on the bed half lying down, tired pias still left on the surface of his face.

Asha did not budge, staring at the red face that was now soundly asleep after being suckled by Laras. Luckily p@yu dar@Laras can directly remove breast milk so that she does not have to bother to breastfeed her baby.

"I'll give it a name." Suddenly Asha said, Laras was stunned to hear that sentence, at a glance his gaze changed on Asha, as if he did not expect Asha to do so.

"Can I?" Asha's head lifted looked at Asha who was still silent on the bed.

"Oh.em...Yeah.of course I can." Baras answered stuttering.

"Zyan...?"

"Yes, Zyan. Do you agree."

"Oh, of course I agree." The barrel welcomes with a slightly flushed face then welcomes the cloth-wrapped baby into her arms.

"The doctor let us go home this afternoon, after the observation is complete. If all is well, you can recover at home." Asha said with a faint smile.

Latas nodded his head, his eyes fixed on the baby who was now in his hands, his gaze narky and slightly fluttering.

Asha took her phone.

"I'm gonna call Ivory mas, so I can pick us up."

...***...

"Mas..why didn't you come here last night?" Asha held the hand of Ivory who was about to move from inside the room.

They had just arrived from the maternity clinic, Laras was already resting in the room with her baby.

"Do I have to go there, Asha?" Ivory urung left then stood face to face with his wife as if trying to look into Asha's eyes, looking for something.

"When the baby was born, even the one who advised him was the doctor who helped deliver it." Asha's voice sounded grim.

"Who deserves to judge him?" The Ivory question sounds sharp.

"Of course it's his father, mas." Asha challenged her husband's eyes.

"You're right Asha, the one who deserves to judge him is his father. But I feel like I'm not his father. I just knew I woke up by her side in the morning, and then she got pregnant. Because of that damned one night, then am I the father?" Ivory shook his head.

"Mas, you've married her."

"That's because you forced it."

"Why do you blame me now? Remember, who did I do it for? For the sake of your own honor."

Ivory was silent, his lips clenched.

"I was wrong with Asha, but all the more wrong it became when I married her."

"Of course, in any situation, Mas married her to account for the deeds of the mas."

"Okey, Asha.I accept all that as my fault, this is a valuable lesson for me to no longer be distracted in doing things. But I have to pretend to look good with Laras, while I feel nothing, I don't even feel like I have any bond either with her or with the baby." Ivory released Asha's hand which gripped her wrist.

"But the boy is innocent." Asha lowered her head, remembering the look of the baby Laras she was holding.

"Ashe...Listen to me!" Suddenly Ivory held onto Asha's shoulder, his eyes straight in his eyes.

"Do you really want me to do my duty as a husband to Laras, huh? Would you really be willing if I...if I slept with another woman other than you??"
