Jasmine squeezed both her hands. He stared at the laptop in front of him while occasionally breathing in, sighing, or shaking in annoyance. Elvan was calmer in reaction but clearly his face was angry.
"So, Aaron hasn't been working properly. He only played gambling, drunk, women's games, and the poor parking lot around the area he lived. Just like some hotshot thug. He doesn't want Bondan to leave. Bondan he's a tool to make money by busking." Elvan is really angry.
"If Bondan didn't bring a lot of money, he was beaten, kicked, taped. He didn't even think about whether the child had eaten or not. Bondan is also used to starving like him," said Delvin. "My heart hurts to see that, sir. It's not appropriate for a father to treat his son that way."
"What I thought was, Aaron was depressed with his life. If he's drunk, call his wife, call Bondan. It was like he was angry and sorry for what he was going through. Poor as well actually," Delvin continued.
"I can't see this, Mom. If Bondan stays there longer, he'll be hurt." Melati looked at Elvan.
"Yes, I'll see Aaron tomorrow. I'll talk to him" said Elvan.
After arranging everything, they parted ways. Delvin returned to the office, Melati and Elvan continued to the Garuda House. Along the way, the two remained silent. Still feeling sad about what they saw on Delvin's laptop. Even Elvan's car had stopped in the parking lot of Garuda House both still silent.
HP Melati shook. Ddrrr... Melati and Elvan flinched. Melati took HP and looked at it. Chat by Lily.
"Who?" ask Elvan.
"Lily." replied Melati short.
"Oo.." said Elvan. "Come, down..."
Elvan got out of the car. Jasmine followed. They're meeting the kids. That day their first rehearsal was music, vocals, and dance. Elvan and jasmine headed towards the large hall in the middle of the area. They sit and watch. The other coach seemed excited because the boys were so enthusiastic even though they had been repeated several times.
Bondan's darling wasn't there. He should be playing the ukulele. She also got a chance to sing a trio with two other friends. The boy must still be scared that he's coming.
After the boys finished training, Elvan spoke with the coaches to inform them about the progress of the show plan they would do later. What things need to be prepared. They met for only 30 minutes, then disbanded.
"Sister, Bondan ain't coming again. We're gonna keep singing to her or else we're gonna replace her?" Fandi approaches Melati and Elvan.
"Wait another two or three days, you'll be sure, yes" Elvan said.
Yes, ready." Fandi held out his right thumb.
"You're still being visited a lot, Fan?" ask Melati.
"It's rarer, brother. I've been working full time and I have a lot of cake orders too" replied Fandi.
"But you're okay, right?" Melati saw Fandi. Get her handsome now.
"Yes, Brother. Thank you." Thank you." Fandi smiles. "I'm going to the dorm, brother."
"okay." Melati smile.
Then Elvan and Melati came home, it was almost 8 p.m.
The next day after lunch Elvan and Melati went to Aaron's house. They'll ask Bondan nicely. If not, the law will act.
Tok to tok....
Elvan knocked on the door. No sounds or reactions from inside the house.
Tok to tok... Elvan knocked on the door.
"Wait!" Sounds authentic from within. "Who? Disturbing people from sleeping."
Door opened. Aaron with a withered face there. He looked at Elvan, trying to remember if he knew this man in front of him. Then he turned to Melati who was next to Elvan.
"Ahhh..ha..." Aaron laughs. "Haa.. haa... is it back? You guys are really..."
"What else do you want to say? You don't understand that I don't like Bondan dealing with you guys, either" Aaron said. His voice began to be rough.
"Bondan is our son and we have an obligation to take full care of Bondan's life" Elvan said.
"Whatchu mean? I have an obligation to him. Not you guys who just know how many days Bondan. I'm his father!" The more angered Aaron heard Elvan's words.
"Can we speak well, as adults, if indeed the father wants good for the son of the Father?" elvan.
Aaron looked at Elvan. What does this young man mean?
"I know my father as a parent must be dear to Bondan. I want to give good to him too. So we actually have the same goal. There's no need for us to fight, but it's more appropriate that we talk about finding common ground on what's best for Bondan." Elvan boldly looked at Aaron and he made sure Aaron heard what he said.
"OKAY. Login." Finally Aaron invited Elvan and Melati in.
They were sitting in a dirty and messy room.
"Sorry, there are no women in this house. So..." Aaron was a bit awkward as well when Elvan looked around the room.
"Well, no problem" said Elvan.
"Sir Aaron, first I want to say that my goal here is to offer something good for Bondan. The education at the school he had received all this time must have helped. But Bondan has advantages that can make him a successful person in the future. We found a pearl in him that needed to be processed for him to succeed one day" Elvan added.
"We have a place for Bondan to learn and develop his skills. I asked your permission to bring Bondan to live there. We will facilitate all his needs until he can graduate to High School at least. You don't have to worry we won't ask for anything in return for it" Elvan explained.
Aaron looked at Elvan. This young man in front of him looked serious, intelligent, and knew what he was doing. He knows what Elvan has to offer something really good.
"That means Bondan will leave me?" Aaron looked at Elvan.
"When you want to see Bondan, go ahead. Father of his parents and will continue like that" said Elvan.
"The problem is Bondan is working to help me..."
"Sir, Bondan is too small to work. It is the responsibility of the parents to meet the needs of their children. That's against the rules, sir. There are laws that govern that. Especially if parents act violently, violence against children. Can be convicted." Elvan tries to put pressure on Aaron.
"Don't take my son away. I can't without him. He's the only one in this house besides me. I don't care if it's against the law. I just want him with me" said Aaron. His tone of voice Riska just now. But he was obviously a little angry.
"And used to make money for his father to have fun, gamble, and drink. While such a small child would often starve even if he worked with hands and sweat every day." Elvan looked back at Aaron.
"I didn't use it. I want him to help me, "Aaron said.
"I'm sorry. I have enough evidence to bring Bondan legally if I report your actions to the child and police protection commission" Elvan said. He kept trying as calmly as he could say it.
Melati who just sat down to hear him talk this man was not stopping praying so that there was no quarrel and Aaron could willingly give Bondan to the foundation.
"You are guilty when you separate your son from his father" said Aaron. "There should be a law that prohibits people from taking other people's children."
"It's not a problem taking someone else's child. Is the child living a good and happy life with his parents?"
"Sister..." A small voice called.
Elvan, Melati, and Aaron turned to the door. Bondan over there, standing in his school uniform. His face looked tired with sweat on his forehead. The weather today is hot.
The little face looked at Elvan and Melati. Then look towards Aaron. His gaze showed fear and anxiety.
"Sister.." he said softly.
