Chapter 29 - What Happened to My Heart?

Jasmine went into his room. It feels like you haven't stepped on earth with a series of surprises today. Not tired from the long journey, he was surprised by the arrival of a handsome boy who invited him to go somewhere without telling where. It turned out that he was taken to a cafe to celebrate his 17th special birthday. Even more shocked, he was introduced as his lover to his parents. Mom put the vegetable in the pot on the stove. "Mel, how's Elvan doing?"

"Just finished the exam as well as the sisters, Mom," replied Melati. He's tidying the dining table.

"You know, the first time Mom saw him in the play area that day, I saw he had a heart for you. And he's sincere" said Mother.

"Mom does he mean the right man to be Melati's companion?" ask Melati.

Mom sat in the chair looking at her daughter. "Mom once said, a soul mate is a mystery of God. We never know who will be our partner. But in time God will direct our hearts to find it."

Mom's right. Elvan is her lover now. Melati never said yes to Elvan, but she did not refuse when she was introduced as her lover to her parents. He has to take care of his heart and his relationship with Elvan.

"Call your brothers. Everything is ready," said Mother melati daydream. He goes to call Lily, Damar, and Jati.

Eating together is always fun. Enjoying simple mother's cooking is also something for jasmine. Mother does not really like to cook, but she still prepares everything with love for her children.

"What hospital?" ask Melati. He panicked.

Elvan told me the location. Melati immediately prepared, saying mom to visit Tirta to the hospital. With an online ojek Melati rushed there. Elvan was also in school. He was just about to go home when he got the news so immediately turn the direction to the hospital.

Until Melati hospital goes straight to the IGD room. Elvan is in front of the IGD room. His face looks tense. Next to him was a well-dressed, mature woman in an office wear.

"Elvan.." call Melati. His heart was spread not because of when Elvan turned to look at him.

"Mel.." said Elvan. He usually smiles. This time his face was flat, a little panicked instead.

"Elvan, in the office there is still work that cannot be postponed. Aunt should come back." The woman next to Elvan said to Elvan. His facial expression was as tense as Elvan's.

"Yes, Aunt Bertha. Thank you very much" said Elvan. The woman patted Elvan on the shoulder and left the place.

Melati. "Tante Bertha Papa's secretary" Elvan said. He sat on a long bench in front of the IGD room. "Tante Bertha gave me the news. Azka's sister also still has meetings in her office. He'll be here any minute. Mama's still traveling from Surabaya."

Melati sat down next to Elvan. He knew Elvan was very agitated.

"I was so panicked. Papa rarely gets sick. Once the pain directly hit the heart," continued Elvan. "Honestly, I'm scared, Mel." Elvan looked at Melati.

Jasmine gulped her saliva. He could understand Elvan's fear. This isn't kidding. "Doctors will do their best, El. We pray Om Tirta soon good," said Melati slowly.
