The journey to Malang is long. In the vehicle, Dirga and his wife, Fani, told a long story about their experience of often adventuring together if there was a chance. Their laughter never ends. Jokes and jokes, they just let go. Elvan did not feel tired, because the spirit of the two people who helped him was so great.
Even though they are over 40 years old, they still look fresh, younger than they seem. Maybe because they are always happy and laughing.
"Elvan, why did you get lost in the forest? Did you go there yourself?" ask Fani. He noticed Elvan leaning leisurely on the back bench.
"If I tell you I'm not sure Mr. Dirga and Ms. Fani will believe it" Elvan said. "I'm very grateful to be able to ride. Though Mr. Dirga and Bu Fani do not know me."
"How do you know we won't believe it, when you haven't told us?" Mr. Dirga said as he continued to drive.
"Hm, you're right. Tell me first" said Fani.
"For over ten months I lost my memory of falling from the abyss. I live in the house of a local who purposely hid me in order to be a substitute for his dead son." Elvan told me calmly.
Fani and Dirga looked at each other. Is this kid too? Is that to be trusted?
"Weird indeed. I myself do not believe it either. It doesn't make sense. But how else, that's what I'm going through" continued Elvan.
"Wait..wait a minute." said Fani. "Mas Dirga remember the time the rangers who came among us first said there was ever a missing child?"
Dirga looks at Fani and then he looks back at the streets. "Which he said, that kid's a disgrace?"
"Is that not you, Elvan?" said Fani.
"Republic how?" Replace Elvan who asked.
"They said they couldn't forget it. Because the night the boy fell into the abyss they went straight down looking for him. But the boy doesn't exist. Tomorrow they went around the forest several times, not to meet. Until someone concluded the child was brought by a subtle creature. Because it's gone without a trace" Fani told me.
"So you weren't taken by the genie, were you?" ask Dirga.
Elvan laughs. "No, Sir. I was sort of taken prisoner by the father who found me. He never let me out of his large yard. He said he did not want me to get lost, because around his house was only a forest and a vast field. I trust him very much. Because he was so good to me. Maybe it was triggered because I don't remember anything, so I'm sure what the father said must be true." Elvan explained.
"Then what did you do?" ask Fani.
"Garden and take care of the livestock" replied Elvan.
"Yes?" Fani could hardly believe it. "Look at the look of your baby, you feed the cattle?" Fani chuckles.
"Hee.. hee. if you remember that I was also surprised, how can I do it. I've never kept an animal in my entire life." Elvan laughed.
"How did you finally escape?" Replace Dirga who asked.
"Mother helped me escape. From the beginning he didn't really agree that you hid me there. But he couldn't tell anyone else about me. Because her husband has problems. And I can't tell you to leave because I still don't remember anything and don't know where to go when I get out of the house" Elvan said.
"After I remembered myself, Mom arranged for me to leave. Because my father planned to marry my daughter. And I knew I couldn't possibly marry her son" Elvan continued.
"Why? Good to get a wife too? He. he..." Dirga laughing.
"My intention is back, precisely because I remember my promise with girls," said Elvan with a big smile.
"Oo... Do you have a boyfriend?" chirps Fani. "Well, the power of love is amazing, huh..." Fani and Dirga laughed.
In the heart of Elvan whispered, it could be more urgent if he knew he remembered because of watching the soap opera. Hee.....
It did not feel that the conversation took them to the city of Malang.
"Sir, this is already in Malang. I will continue my journey to Kediri. So I guess I'd better get off at..."
"Show me your home address. I'll take you home" said Dirga.
"Yes? You took me?" Elvan wasn't sure what he heard.
"Yes, Sir. Yes," answered Elvan quickly. He is very happy.
The car drove into the Elvan family estate. Five o'clock that afternoon they arrived.
In the house Tirta and Erika were praying in the room. Azka had just arrived from Farel's pick up at his tutoring place.
Hearing the sound of a car going into the yard, Azka and Farel went back to the terrace to see who had come. The car that parked was not from Malang.
When the car door is opened...
"Sister Elvan is home!!!" Farel shouted out loud. Azka was also in disbelief. Farel jumped into Elvan's arms. Cry broke. He's got Elvan so strong. Until Elvan felt a bit tight in her chest.
Azka could only cry seeing her sister. He hugged Elvan from his sister's back. From inside the house appeared Bi Wanti, followed by Erika and Tirta. They can barely talk. Not even moving.
Elvan, who realizes that her mother is looking at her, takes off Azka's arms and Farel approaches her parents. He hugged them tightly. Tirta and Erika's cries broke. Bi Wanti was crying out loud as well.
Dirga and his wife stared at the scene in front of them. I never thought they would feel this happiness. Their adventure this time was amazing. More than they've ever experienced before.
"You healthy, son?" ask Tirta. Erika still holding Elvan's hand. I don't want him to let go of anything.
"I'm good, Pa. I'm healthy. It feels good to be home." Elvan smiled broadly.
"Who are they?" Tirta pointed to Dirga and his wife.
"Om Dirga and Bu Fani. They drove me home" said Elvan.
Dirga and Fani walk towards Tirta and Erika. They shook Elvan's parents' hands.
"Thank you very much. Somehow we repay the kindness of father and mother." Tirta shook Dirga's hand tightly.
"We just drove. Wait until Elvan tells you about his lost experience. I could hardly believe it. It's like a story in a movie" Dirga said.
"If so, we welcome this happy day. We celebrate together." Tirta invited them in. "Please, don't refuse."
Dirga looked at his wife. Fani nodded in agreement. They're coming in the house. Erika and Bi Wanti immediately cooked in the kitchen. Elvan was interrogated by Tirta, Azka and Farel. Over and over again they were dumbstruck, wide-eyed, laughing, and all sorts of expressions heard the story of Elvan.
Then they had dinner together. Do not forget to start a prayer of thanksgiving because God has brought Elvan home. After dinner, Dirga and Fani decide to continue their journey. Then the three brothers gathered in Elvan's room, continuing to give up longing.
"We can report Mr. Karno to the police. He's holding you hostage is his name" Azka said.
"I was made a child, Brother. Not being held hostage." Elvan corrected Azka's words.
"Yes, he deliberately kept you there," Azka said. "Hey, wait. Is the house surrounded by a tall bamboo fence? In the vast yard are many vegetables. The house is wide, the bottom of the wall and the top of the wood?"
"Rubber, Brother," said Elvan. "Son Azka knows?" Elvan was astonished.
"We went there on the third day after you went missing. I met that father. His body is not very tall but firm. He looks so strong."
"Yes, that's Mr. Karno" Elvan said.
"He saw your picture. He knows I'm looking for you there." Azka remembered the events of that day. "I don't think he's hiding you."
"I understand the reason. I won't report it, brother. He's a father who lost his son. That day I couldn't find him, it could be too late to get help" Elvan said.
Azka. Recalling that day he confronted Mr. Karno, but the man lied to him. This makes him angry. But looking at Elvan now with this attitude of his, he knew Elvan well there.
"Hey, don't you miss Melati?" ask Azka suddenly.
Elvan looked at her brother.
