Chapter 33 - Split with Red Sky

Morning Melati woke up when the sun was a little high. Usually before it was really the bright sky he was already awake.

Jasmine sat on the bed leaning on the head of the bed. Recollecting the events of last night. Unknowingly she clutched her own chest. Unexpectedly, Arthur being so good all along, one of the men he admired for his musical ability, being decisive, and being a good leader, turned out to be so terrifying.

He didn't know if he could ever meet that man again. He would definitely be frightened once nearby. But there's no way he didn't meet. How did he avoid Arthur? The man is not always present when they practice, but at least once every two weeks he will be able to see the band practicing. It will be more frequent if they have an event.

Melati took a deep breath. What's he supposed to do? He'll find an excuse not to come to training. He will set a schedule that makes it impossible for him to be in training. Thankfully, there are no lectures today. He can calm himself.

"Mails..." Ranita opens the room door and enters to see Melati. The room was never locked. Ranita approaches Melati. He saw Melati's face was tangled. Her eyes are a little swollen.

"Why you?" ask Ranita.

"Ga nothing," replied Melati. She doesn't want Ranita to worry, while she better not tell. "I'm just tired."

"Kok kayak nangis lama?" ask Ranita again. He was sitting next to Melati.

"Home window," said Melati. Her voice is raucous.

"A fight with Elvan?" Ranita is still fishing. He thinks there's something.

"Not quarrel. Kangen," said Melati.

"Iiihhh.. kangen to severe cry?" Ranita looked at Melati. "You really love the same guy?"

"Yes, yeah..." Melati tried to smile. But his eyes had already started to get wet at the end.

"Yes call sana gi. vidcall. She's gonna want to laa..." Ranita rubbed Melati's eyes.

"I'll call him later" said Melati.

"I'm going, yeah. Fried rice equals egg ceplok." Ranita standing.

"Why come home almost every night, Ran. Careful. If it doesn't matter, go home quickly. Don't worry people" said Melati.

"Yes, know... Just chill. I'm fine, really... Bye..." Ranita came out of Melati's room.

"Sorry Ran, I can't say. I'm not ready yet" whispered Melati.

HP Melati shook. Melati look at the screen. Dad's calling.

"Morning, Dad," said Melati flatly.

"Darling, you're not well?" I knew immediately that his daughter was not well.

"Yes, I think I want the flu, Dad." Melati is crying. I'd love you to be here and hug him, calm him down. He could not hold his cry out. He also didn't want me to worry about him.

"Hm... Too tired of that. Take a break first. Don't forget to take vitamins" Dad said.

"Yes... There is no college today. So a lot of rest time," said Melati.

"Good then. Dad has to go on this. Get well, pretty boy," Dad said.

He was immediately happy when he found out Melati proposed. She remembers Melati because she was a college singer. And he immediately agreed to Melati become a library officer. Because from the record of visitors Melati is among the most diligent come. And Melati could be on duty tomorrow. Ms. Siska asked Rima to directly arrange Melati's schedule of duty.

"I didn't expect you to opt out of the band" Alfaro said.

Melati just keep quiet. He was still thinking what to say for Alfaro to accept.

"So sure you're the same as me? Until you sacrifice the band? You let go of your passion? Mel, I know you want to be a famous singer. And you've already started your path." Alfaro looked emotional.

"I changed my mind" said Melati. "I'm sorry, but it's not because of you that I'm out. I've decided to focus on my studies."

Alfaro continued to try to persuade but to no avail. Even until the next few days his friends, not just Alfaro, tried to persuade remained unsuccessful.

Alfaro eventually meets Arthur and asks him to persuade Melati. Beyond a doubt Arthur said something Alfaro never thought possible. Arthur told me about the incident that night. Alfaro went straight up. She clung to Arthur until it bruised and her lips bled. Arthur was silent. He knew he was wrong with Melati. Even being reported to the police was appropriate.

"I'm disappointed, Bang. I didn't expect that crazy brother.. Jasmine innocent and innocent girl. You can do it like him!" alfaro was still angry.
