Chapter 40 - Where is Elvan?

Azka drove the car for the Edgar family trip this time. Mom and Dad looked very happy. They haven't been together like this for a long time.

Their destination is around Mount Semeru. The Bromo Tengger Semeru tourist area, in Ranu Kumbolo area. The journey is long but very fun and challenging. Nature is very beautiful around the lake which is quite large.

In the afternoon they arrived at their destination. Azka, Elvan and Farel immediately set up a tent. Erika and Tirta prepared lunch. Because it is not a holiday season there are not many visitors who come. Usually this area will be full if the school holidays.

By late afternoon, Elvan was wandering around where they were camping. He was still amazed by the beauty of the vast field overgrown with beautiful flowers. There is also a forest around it. He took a few photos in the scenery that attracted his heart.

"Sister, isn't it fun if we make campfires?" elvan said to her brother. Azka was standing not far from her place.

"Maybe, too." The more the afternoon it feels the colder.

"I'm looking for dry wood. It's still bright" said Elvan.

"Foolah. I help. Come on," said Azka. They say goodbye to Tirta and Erika will find dry wood to make a bonfire.

Both of them went deeper into the forest not far from the tent location. The forest is not too thick. I can still see the sky in the trees. Elvan kept going around collecting the dry wood. So did Azka. There's a lot they got.

Elvan saw at the left end there was a tree with twigs that caught his attention. He walked down the road to the tree. Azka was still a bit far behind him. On the big tree grew a beautiful orchid. Elvan took out his HP and photographed it. He took a few steps forward. Without noticing his steps as he looked up, he tripped over the tree roots.

HP unleashed. Elvan staggered to the left leg of his right leg. Finally he fell into the abyss. He rolled around and hit a tree several times. I don't know how many meters he's sliding down. Finally he hit a large log and fainted.

Azka had gathered a lot of wood. He wants to bring Elvan back. But his sister was invisible. He called his name a few times.

"Goddess!! Elvan!!" There is no lawfulness. Azka went further. But there was no sign of Elvan there. "Elvan, let's go back. It's almost dark!" Azka called him again. There's no answer.

Azka started to panic. He's looking over here and there. There are no results. It's getting dark. Then he saw a white object lying not far from him. Azka. That's Elvan HP. Then he was here. But where is he?

"Goddess!!!!" As much as Azka's energy called. He's getting anxious. He advanced a few meters. Yeah, there's a ravine there. Don't don't...

"No. Elvan!!!" Azka shouted in panic. As it grew darker Azka decided to get out of the forest immediately and seek help. Because it's impossible for him to search without a tool.

Arriving at the tent location, Azka was pale. Tirta and Erika who saw him running in panic were confused.

"Why, Azka?" ask Tirta. "Where's Elvan?" He started to panic.

Erika and Farel who were in front of the tent immediately stood up.

"Sir, Ma..." Azka's voice was trembling. He raised Elvan's HP.

"Where's Elvan?" ask Erika. He seems very worried.

"He's... Elvan.

"What???!!!" Tirta, Erika, and Farel shouted.

"No! Azka, don't joke." Tirta held onto his chest. Instantly the tightness pressed him down. His body is a little shaky.

"Bag!!" Eric hugged her husband. He helped her sit down.

Erika tried to calm Tirta down. Azka tried to calm down. He can't panic. You have to be calm to think. Azka looked around. Some distance from them about 300 meters away Azka saw there were two tents there. They must be camping too. Azka decided to ask them for help.

"Ma, I'm looking for help" Azka said and rushed off towards the tent she saw. It's getting dark.

Erika asks Farel to turn on the light they brought. Then she gave her husband a drink that was still shocked by this incident. Farel looks very worried. But he doesn't know what to say.

Azka arrived at the tent. They turned out to be a group of nature-loving students. They're willing to help. They also contacted the SAR Team and the rangers with their communication tools.

That very night they went down to find the ravine that Elvan thought fell. There was indeed a sign of someone getting mired, but Elvan's body was not found. Until far into the night they got nothing.

"Azka, Papa has to go home. He won't survive here" Erika said.

"Yes Ma. Mama Papa and Farel go home. I'll be here looking for Elvan" Azka said.

Early in the morning Tirta, Erika, and Farel returned to Malang. Azka was left behind at the location constantly looking. Until back in the night there was no sign of Elvan anywhere.

"Frankly, there are irregularities in my opinion, Mas. He should have been found. The forest we have explored. Even more than three times. With the number of teams quite a lot, the five of us, should be able to meet. Mas Azka's sister just disappeared," said one of the team who helped.

Azka did not answer. But his words are true.

"Tomorrow we'll search the settlement. We're sharing a picture of Elvan, maybe someone's found it. Who knows if someone helped him" said one of the SAR Team members.

"All right," we'll continue tomorrow.

Azka felt very guilty. He shouldn't be far from Elvan. He should have followed the boy. Why should he focus on finding wood? Uhh...

All night, Azka could not sleep. She was crying without a sound.

"Where are you, El? Are you still holding on? Come on, El, show yourself. Don't make me sick because I think of you." Worried, agitated, guilty, overlapping in Azka's heart.

"Lord, God, you must know where Elvan is. Give me a hint. Please, Lord, give him back to us" Azka prayed incessantly.

Tirta was taken to the hospital again. It wasn't as bad as that time. His condition is quickly stable. Even so his heart is fucked. They kept praying that Elvan would be found quickly. Elvan must be found.

Erika feels her world is turned back by the fact she lost a child like this all of a sudden. Eating bad, sleeping can't be good. Not to mention having to accompany Tirta who was lying sick.

Farel, come back to be quiet. Not much to say, but his heart was very sad. There was a fear her brother might never come back.
