Chapter 14

After receiving permission from Lauren Nathalia, Nathan is invited to meet Nathan's parents for dinner.

Lauren herself chose to finish the job at her boutique helped by Fikri.

" So what now are you really going to stop looking for information about Nathan who is currently close to his daughter?"

" Hey, didn't you say that I should try to accept Nathan given that there isn't just one name for Nathan in the world."

" I like your style." Pekik Fikri's.

They joke around with each other while continuing their work.

Fikri itself actually has an automotive business. But he prefers to spend time at the boutique and accompany Lauren.

Fikri and Lauren are best friends from where they came from. Fikri moved and settled in England knowing that Lauren would live and settle in England as well.

Fikri always follows wherever Lauren goes. Fikri himself had long harbored feelings for Lauren but he never expressed them out of fear Lauren would stay away from him.

So Fikri is willing to just be a friend, as long as it will make Fikri always close to Lauren.

And sure enough, they've been together for almost 30 years.

Meanwhile, at the residence of Nathan's house, the atmosphere of dinner was created so warm.

Mama is so happy she finally got to have dinner with Natalia.

Papa is like that, but Papa feels like they are having dinner together with a whole family.

After finishing breakfast, Mama invited Natalia to talk after previously Mama expressed her gratitude to Natalia.

Mama just thanked me for wanting to be a part of Nathan without telling me why

Mama's afraid Natalia will find out about what happened to Nathan.

Natalia then remembered the events when she was with her best friend where every together with her best friend Natalia always had bad luck.

But Natalia doesn't want to be suspicious of any of her friends. Like when they were together about to buy Nathalia food as if pushed when the lights were green.

And many other things happened after Natalia decided to open her heart and have a relationship with Nathan.

Nathan smiled seeing the two women he loved so much sitting down and talking familiarly.

" What are you looking at?" Ask papa Nathan.

" Seeing those who are familiar even if they just spend dinner together." Nathan said to Mama and Nathalia.

" How can you define Natalia as a woman worthy of being in your heart?" Ask Papa

" I don't know, from the very beginning I met Natalia I felt that Natalia was the cure for the longing that was in my heart."

" That's all?"

" I feel happy being around her and I feel so missed when I was away from her. I felt that I had become very addicted to him. That's why I want him to be mine forever."

" Papa may I marry her after..."

" After you agree to have surgery." Papa's words immediately cut the conversation from Nathan.

" Papa's kidding."

" Papa seriously, papa will give you a year to think." Papa.

Nathan was silent, surgery was one of the things that scared him the most.

Nathan is not afraid of needles or other medical devices. But what Natan was afraid of was when she lay down on the operating table while closing her eyes but it turned out that she could no longer open her eyes.

" Papa knows what you're worried about, so Papa gives you a year to decide. After that papa's gonna propose to Natalia for you." Papa said as he patted Nathan before leaving Nathan alone.

Nathan is speechless with his own thoughts especially about his fears when he decides to have surgery, Nathan is always scared when he closes his eyes. Fear of not being able to open your eyes and see the world again.

But now, his father gave a very special gift when he was willing to do surgery.

What would Nathan do?
