The Soulmate Must Meet

The Soulmate Must Meet
Episode 29 - A Pair of Vibrating Eyes

Working in the service field must be a lot to get along, with anyone. But more important is to associate with people who have an interest in the field of work itself. Mr. Iwan taught me a lot how to get along, work together and also preach. Everything given by her I can take for free, here, I am growing up, growing up to be an independent woman, without pressure and also have hope.

Today, I was asked to submit a proposal to an integrated Islamic school in the city of Cirebon. Schools that have the largest network, and trusted by the surrounding community in educating children to learn. I rode an office motorcycle, with a passionate passion. Mr. Iwan has trusted me to meet with important people, one of whom is the chairman of a unified Islamic foundation, it is amazing!

The feeling of heat is lost instantly, thirst is treated by sweat pouring out, and hunger is filled with motivation in the heart. Eyes watch the road, must be careful in driving a vehicle, not to hit or hit. At junction four, because the light was still green, I immediately drove the motorcycle to cross, but suddenly a biker passed, even though the light was still red from the direction he crossed. I stepped on the brake, if I couldn't hit him, but the bike was already speeding.

Take a breath, then immediately drive the motor to school. Around my trip, there is a lot of development, will definitely build malls, hotels, and shop houses, the more dense and hot the city of Cirebon, may be the same as Jakarta.

A few minutes later I arrived, I parked the motorbike in the provided parking lot. I stepped towards the security post and said my intentions and goals, then I was escorted by him to the chairperson's room, coincidentally waiting.

“Assalamu’alaikum..,” my sap.

“Wa’alaikumussalam. let's go in, and choose a seat as you like.”.

It turned out that the head of the foundation was a middle-aged woman, wearing a headscarf, and her face was glowing, I was amazed to see her.

“Anggun?” tanyakanya.

“Iya, Mum.”

“My name is Maemunah, just call me Mae,” he said.

“Good, Ma'am Mae.”

“Pak Iwan has explained it over the phone, and I strongly agree with all the plans, the lesson to know the dangers of AIDS must be introduced to the students from now on, for them to think twice about doing the things that trigger the disease, moreover, in religion all sin.”

“Betul Bu, I am also happy to do this job.”

“Alhamdulillah..it's the most important in working.”.

I smiled, this woman is amazing, her way of speaking and sitting is very characterful, she is indeed a smart woman.

“Oh yes, you brought the proposal? We must follow the procedure, so as not to say KKN.”

“There's Bu.”

Soon I took the proposal out of the bag, and I handed it to him. Mae's mother accepted it, then checked.

“Alright, mom will meet with the principal, while arranging when the time starts the presentation to be campaigned on to students and schoolgirls.”

“Good Mom, I wait for the next news.”

After that, I immediately announced. Ms. Mae escorted me to the exit of the school building, she also occasionally introduced me to some rooms and teachers who passed by. Arriving at the parking lot I drove a motorcycle to return to the office, today it is quite interesting to meet with the chairman of the foundation who is not arrogant.

A few days later, I received a call from a man, he confessed from a unified Islamic school, and Mae's mother represented everything to him.

“We can only give one day, because it is close to the children's exam,” he said after explaining the time and place of implementation.

“Alright, I will negotiate first with Mr. Iwan, as the person in charge,” I replied.

After that, we ended the conversation. I reported everything to Mr. Iwan, then waited for an answer from him. After a few minutes, he gave an answer, asking me to replace the presentation with Mr. Teguh, because he had business on that date. I was silent for a moment, this was my first presentation experience, and I took it. This opportunity should not be wasted, did I never succeed in the da'wah race, even though only the second winner.

Mr. Teguh just gave a thumbs up when I talked about everything that Mr. Iwan ordered, then he ate back the chicken noodles he was eating. I entered the room, sitting looking at the ceiling. Now that I've matured, I'm more determined to keep learning, to achieve my dreams.

At eight o'clock in the morning, Teguh and I were already in a unified Islamic school, I was greeted by a man, and it turned out that he was the one who called me. At twenty-eight years old, he was a friendly man, his body a little thin, tall, his eyes sharp.

His way of speaking is also character, it is certain that he is a smart person, let alone trusted by Mae's mother to organize all these events.

“So, Ibu Anggun has been working for a long time in NGO?” tanyakanya.

“Not too long,” I replied.

“Definitely frequent visits to dangerous places..”.

“Meanour?”

“Place like prison, which is indeed positive for AIDS.”

Hearing the prison, my memory like it was being reopened, I met my father, is he okay? Why am I suddenly worried about him, while he is not necessarily worried about me. He's been assuming I'm someone else since the first meeting at home, since I was a kid.

“Bu? Mother...”

“Eh? Mmm...it is not a dangerous place sir, it is a very interesting place, and as a worker in the NGO must dare to face all possibilities,” I said quickly.

He just smiled watching my nervousness due to surprise, while I took a breath, arranging not to drag my nervousness.

“Pak Yusuf, all students are already in the room.” Someone approached us.

“Alright, let's Bu Graceful!” bring him.

I followed him, and he was named Joseph, deserving of a handsome and gracious face, perhaps like the prophet Joseph, but the thought was soon cleared, not good at equating a prophet with ordinary men like us. Joseph's steps if it is very authoritative, although his body is not large, but looks firmness in this man, of course very lucky his wife has it.

We went into the hall, Mr. Teguh had prepared everything, then, Yusuf gave directions to the students and schoolgirls, then asked me to start. At first I was groggy, but in the end enjoying, I was able to build an atmosphere, and I saw Joseph's gaze glow, as if he found something precious looking at me, I tried to ignore it.

For almost an hour I presented the material, then continued with questions and answers. It turned out that they were all enthusiastic, many questions were asked, I carefully replied, occasionally Mr. Teguh helped to answer. This activity was fun, and I was getting more and more knowledge.

After the event was over, a few students came up to me and were interested in volunteering, of course I welcomed well. I recorded their names along with phone numbers to call.

“Means we must carefully mingle huh Anggun?” ask a student.

“Will everyone who has AIDS die?”

“Only God knows, for death and life are not the power of man. We're just trying..”

“But medically it can be said so right?”

“Can. But, we do not make things worse for the infected, as volunteers, we must arouse their spirits in daily living.”

“I have a lot to read!”

“Hehe... of course.. you all have to read a lot, because reading is the key to getting science.”.

“Kak Anggun is married?” tapped one of the students.

I smiled looking at him. A question that embarrassed me a little, but, a question there must be an answer, and I must answer it. And when I was about to answer, Joseph came to us.

“Wah... so excited are my students,” he said.

All the students were embarrassed.

“It's time for you to rest. Bu Anggun also certainly needs time to rest, right?” continued Yusuf.

After saying so, the students and students dispersed by greeting us first. Let me and Joseph, for a moment just look at each other, and blush in shame, funny indeed this event.

“Pardon the children if there are words that are not pleasing,” said Yusuf.

“No sir, all is well. They actually registered themselves to volunteer.”

“Alhamdulillah.. teen spirit should always be grown, and they also have to do a lot of positive activities.”.

“That's a sir, because the company today is very unusually free. I am worried about the development of today's teenagers.”

“If in the past, teenagers were limited, but they have a directional manners, in the present, we find many teenagers who are not directed by the father.”

“I also think so.”

“That's why I chose to be a teacher, at least I can turn a small percentage of teenagers into morals.”

“Pak Yusuf turned out to have a noble purpose.”

“Bu Anggun also has a noble job. Not everyone who can do the job Bu Anggun.”

“If it's too much sir..”

A while we were silent, I tried to shift the mood by clearing up the papers, as well as the equipment I had used. Mr. Teguh has tidied up some of it, he hauled it to a car in the school parking lot.

Suddenly Mr. Yusuf also helped to clear the paper, I was a bit surprised by that.

“Let me alone, Sir!” my prevent.

“It's okay, Mom,” Yusuf still tidying up the paper.

And accidentally his finger touched my finger which would take the same paper. There was a tremor felt in my chest, as a Muslim woman I have not been touched by a male since the incident at the boarding school.

“Sorry..,” says Yusuf.

I just smiled, then continued to clear all the papers. Then put it in the bag.

“Alright, Sir..thank you very much for your help here. Mr Teguh must have been waiting in the car,” I said.

“Sama-sama Bu, good luck.”

I walked away from Joseph, but a few steps later my feet were stopped by Joseph's call.

“Bu Graceful! If one day I visit Mom's house, does Mom's husband allow it?” tanyakanya.

We looked at it, the vibration was pounding more and more.

“Certainly sir, and I happen to be unmarried.”

There was a light from Joseph's eyes, as if he had found a pearl in the middle of the sea. While I felt that light bounce all over my body, making my senses warm and passionate. I don't know what this is called, I never know. If I thought that this was love, I would sin. For I should not love a man passionately.

“Insya Allah.. I will let you know if you want to visit,” said Yusuf.

“Good Sir. Assalamu’alaikum.”.

“Wa’alaikumussalam.”.

Then I stepped out of this hall. Leaving Joseph who was looking at me. The vibration in the chest is getting tighter. Dear God, keep me away from sinful love. I want to live this life with your grace, with the holy way.

When I got outside, I breathed freely. I was relieved, this heart was beating more stable, and the vibrations were slowly disappearing. I got in the car, sat next to Mr. Teguh who was ready to run the car.

“Happy Graceful, you are indeed great!”

“Thank you, Sir.”

“Oh yes, Mr. Yusuf handsome too yes. He never blinked watching you present earlier.”

I'm just smiling. It is not proper for me to speak of a man with a man, let God determine everything.
