The Shah of First Love
PANGLING

***

That night Amarendra traveled from Jakarta to Bandung. Arriving at Abah's house, she had to wait an hour for the old man to come down and embrace her in joy. Abah thinks he's a lunatic who knocks at the rolling door all night. It's a bit annoying but what's important is that he's welcomed and embraced.

“Pangling is so good Abah saw you, Amarendra.” Abah smiled and Amarendra put down his bag.

“Sorry, just visited Abah.” He is a wicked grandson because of the fragility of his feelings so as to visit his own grandfather was hesitant. He was too afraid to accidentally meet with Kani and not now that makes it his main intention.

Amarendra invited Abah to continue his rest. Amarendra sat in the kitchen and his phone rang. Raihan called. Ask him if he really left or not. He agreed and Raihan was relieved.

“My grandfather is getting older, Rai.”

“Embracing, his name is also grandfather yes obviously old!” He was emotional and Amarendra chuckled and the call ended and Amarendra wanted to go to sleep.

Early in the morning not seeing his son made Mother Sri worried. Amarendra wasn't even sure where to go. Only able to nag in front of Lusi and even Lusi felt he got the sap. He should have held back, that's what Mother expected. Amarendra darted away as fast as lightning because last night if Lusi managed to catch up, it would certainly prevent him as well.

Elsewhere, across from Ayas Tamales' Shop. Kani is facing off against her friend Purwa who is holding her sleeping baby. Purwa felt sorry to see the fate of Kani, she was not as happy as before. Even the soft and sometimes jutek face that once turned into a very flat look.

Purwa looked down, looking at the baby at a glance.

“Nearly seven years, have you realized that the man is irreplaceable? Already aware that decisions taken in haste will wreak havoc? And now, have you been able to let go of the man really gone and you also have to start opening your heart to knit a beautiful life but together with other men?” The question is intimidating, but he is tired of seeing Kani's attitude that does not show development or even he still hopes Amarendra will return?

“I only remember him at every step, am I wrong?” Kani looked at Purwa who immediately shook her head and then glanced at her eyes.

“Obviously wrong, he's not yours anymore.” Purwa spoke in a tone of emphasis.

“I know.” His voice sounds discordant. “I also don't know where he is because if I knew, maybe I would have disturbed him.”

Purwa noticed the tangled face, his words were painful but he wanted the best for his best friend. For too long Purwa has been away from home. He decided to go home.

“Be careful,” Kani said as she drove to the side of the road. Angkot waiting. After being seen he waved and Purwa entered after the angkot stopped. Kani smiled warmly and the angkot passed.

Kani is taking a leave of absence today, Kani crossed over to pick up her sister from Minimarket and accompany her to seek treatment.

While the man, Amarendra had arrived, he pulled over not far from Ayas Tamales. The pauses of his heart did not fall out until he had to massage the chest of his field repeatedly. Calm down, calm down his heart as if whispering softly. Convince me there won't be any problems. Kani would be happy to see it.

“If he has forgotten me, how? If you have opened your heart to another man, what do I do? It is very late at this time there is an intention to meet you after accidentally meeting Kalingga. If I wasn't stubborn, figuring out your life, maybe I wouldn't be this awkward. I don't even know what to say the first time in front of you.”

Amarendra sighed, tidied his hair, making sure there were no disgrace stains on his face that would be embarrassing in front of Kani.

Amarendra who was impatient with nervousness finally lowered his car glass, his sharp eyes were not calm. Until he felt he had waited an hour.

“Didn't he get into work?” guess what and also crossed his mind, did he have to go to his house directly? His head bobble denied his impatient heart. He looked deeper, perhaps because it had been years, Kani's physique had changed and he didn't recognize her.

His hands swung on his wide-open car window, holding on tightly while watching. Around the crowded because the market spilled Wednesday is always open.

“Yes!” The sound of the toilet made Amarendra turn his head along with his hand that was still there accidentally crushed someone's hand from the outside even the person was holding tight because it almost fell. Shortly detached and both eyes round Amarendra saw who was there. He quickly raises the windshield before the staggered Kani sees him.

Amarendra from the inside looked also listening, his car glass opened a little.

“You blind?” restrained Kani's voice while pulling a pregnant Kenanga. “There are pregnant people just playing around, have no manners!”

“I didn't see.” A man in front of Kani seemed unconcerned.

Kani clutched her clothes firmly. “You are blind and have no manners, you almost made this pregnant woman fall.”

“What do you want?” The man is muscular and Kani does not want to let go even though Kenanga continues to take him away.

“Apologies to us especially to my brother I just released or want me to shout as a pervert! You touched my chest earlier. You thought I'd shut up.” His hands were getting tighter as well with his face getting more and more emotional.

“I nudged accidentally instead of touching.” The man was frustrated facing the woman before him. “OK, sorry. I accidentally, sorry.” The man chose to relented and apologized to the two, only then Kani's hand crashed and pushed the man's arm irritated.

“You all right, Kenanga? Your stomach hurts?” Kani is worried and Kenanga is smiling.

“You take care of me, I'm fine.” He touched his stomach and Kani was silent, his head fell on the parked car where Amarendra had noticed, looked at him and now he was panicking as Kani's face was blocked by the car glass in front of him. He noticed the woman was trying to look inside his car but could not. It's just the dark Kani sees. Stiffened to look at the face until Amarendra was aghast when he regained consciousness.

“I held on firmly to her hand, I felt hurt her. A minute.” Kani asks Kenanga to shut up first and she keeps knocking on the windshield. Amarendra just took it down a little bit and Kani just looked at her hair. “Sorry, Sir. Accidentally.”

Amarendra. Blocking half of his face with the palm of his hand and then closing his car glass tightly.

Kani frowned, she retreated and pulled Kenanga away as she occasionally turned around a little and only saw the man in the car bending over.

“Why, Tea?” Kenanga was curious.

“I just wanted to apologize, but he didn't want to open the windshield wider. He thinks I'm gonna steal or what?”

Kani sizzles and quickly invites Kenanga across.
