The Shah of First Love

The Shah of First Love
GIVE HAPPILY

***

“While you can come here tomorrow, Kani.” Shahnaz stepped up and Kani, who was checking the contents of the refrigerator, turned her head, smiling. “How was the show?”

“Current, Bu.” Kani lowered her head and Shahnaz watched.

“He's handsome, cool, nice also your taste. You guys are very compatible, we will try to be present at your wedding. The kids will be happy even if you're going to go.” Shahnaz smiled and leaned against the table while Kani frowned in surprise.

“Whatever...Mom knows?” tanyanya hesitated.

“That always met you in the Square, never drove you too.” Shahnaz opened the drawer and took the glass. Kani swerved and rubbed her hair.

“Who are you praising, dear?” Satya came out of her study and Shahnaz laughed.

“Prospective husband Kani.” His eyes glanced at the lowered Kani and the mangut-mangut Satya. Kani resigned herself and she quickly entered her room.

Kani grabbed her phone. Checking whether... Amarendra sends him something, a message, or a missed call. But both of them he didn't get. Kani tries to ventured into calling but the man's number is off. Kani grimaced, her sobs gushed unstoppably. Amarendra really cut ties with her? This easy?

He was always busy prejudiced and inferring misguidance while the man he longed for his presence was still lying limp, being cared for by his Father.

This morning, Amarendra felt good, he was still turning his back especially after knowing Mr. Muji was taking care of him. He was upset and wanted to avoid. Why could Pak Muji choose a random man for Kani? He wanted to ask but couldn't possibly.

“Boy said he was engaged?” Haryawan. Amarendra who heard squeezing his blanket.

“Iya, the show is simple because my male candidates have to go to work again so everything is done suddenly.” Mr. Muji replied in a discordant voice. His heart did not give his consent.

“Don't forget the law, Sir.” Others are in dialogue.

Mr. Muji chuckled softly.

“In sha Allah as soon as possible, I do not want a long engagement, fearing things happen that are not desirable.” Mr. Muji smiled and those who heard the nod understood.

“Faster is better, Sir. Afraid because children today on weak faith.” Mr. Jarwo added and Mr. Muji did not like what he said, it was an insult let alone someone else around him.

“Ya..you do deserve happiness and I can't necessarily give it.” Amarendra could only strengthen himself. His life is still long but he is lazy to do anything or plan something. She should how?

Mr. Muji stopped stepping when this morning Amarendra was awake. The young man was sunbathing, warming the body. Amarendra gave a quick glance as Mr. Muji approached. Still heartbroken as her relationship with Kani ran aground, she was a little lazy to look at that face. But he's so insolent that he doesn't know thank you for being treated during his illness.

“As soon as your stomach contents then take medicine,” said Mr. Muji and Amarendra silent. Mr. Muji looked at the tired face of the young man then patted his shoulder. “Confusion is clearly visible on your face, what's the problem, Amar?”

Amarendra turned and stared fixedly. “More precisely misery, sir. Thank you for taking care of me.” Amarendra stared for a moment and then got up. He left just like that and Mr. Muji was astonished to face the young man's different behavior.

Amarendra began work again although many reprimanded him. Amarendra clutched his lips firmly, unable to think about what kind of reply to them and Kani was always waiting for him, hoping when he opened his eyes he saw a message from the man but in fact Amarendra's number was still inactive until Mother Sri called Kani, asking Amarendra and Kani confusion and anxiety rippled in her chest. No one knows where Amarendra is going, Kani cries every night thinking about the man who has completely vanished from her life.

But apparently not, Amarendra's defense was dissolved because of his love is very strong. He turned on his phone and many incoming messages asking for whereabouts were also reported. He just replied to Mother's message. Convince her that she's good.

Kani, who was clutching her knees tightly with her back leaned, was aghast when Amarendra called. He quickly lifted up, staring at the wall clock already showed at two in the morning.

“Maren,” he said full of softness and Amarendra immediately limp.

“I..”

“Where are you going, Maren?” kani asked interjected. Amarendra silently listened to the girl's breath which sounded heavy or shocked because she called. “I'm afraid.”

“I'm here. Can you meet at your usual place tomorrow?” she said flatly and Kani was shocked to hear the change that was so painful for her.

Kani did not think twice to say consent and the call was dropped by Amarendra without saying goodbye or asking him to rest as usual, because everything was different. He had to do that to get used to it. Kani must also be able to accept.

Tomorrow, Kani has been waiting for Amarendra and Amarendra since there, not far away, looking at Kani who he loved so much. The girl's hair swayed gracefully in the wind. The longer Kani paced back and forth. Look at the clock in the hand that keeps passing.

“Did you change your mind to meet me?” he muttered and limply walked to leave immediately but Amarendra appeared and made him stop..

Amarendra approached, both of them looked at each other until Amarendra said hoarsely after strengthening his heart, “Congratulations for your engagement.” He looked down and Kani kept looking at him.

“I promise I'll be on your show, it's your wedding..” He had to speak brokenly because it was actually heavy for him to say. “Don't hate them, your parents picked the right guy. May you be happy.” There was no sweet smile, no happiness as Kani saw when the two met, but clearly Amarendra's neutrality still radiated the same flame when she saw Kani before her.

Kani opened her mouth to let out some longing stanzas but Amarendra turned around unwilling to linger, leaving expressionless, without a smile, without touching, without touching, and what made Kani sick the most was that she left without saying goodbye. Kani's tears watched the man's back grow further away and disappear from the range of his vision.
