The Secret of the Billionaire's Curse

The Secret of the Billionaire's Curse
Good Brother Relations

Everyone's gaze was fixed on Jorgie who was currently giving a speech and speech to her invited guests. Lulla, who was initially upset by Frans' arrival that attracted people's attention, no longer thinks about Frans because her husband praised her in public to the point of admiring Lulla the woman behind the great success of Jorgie Nielsen.

While Frans who was tired of hearing her father's speech invited Claudia to pull over to the side, a bit away from the crowd. After leaving, Frans brought a drink for Claudia.

“If you want to eat or drink do not hesitate. This is my family's show. So, you're free to eat if you want,” Frans told Claudia.

Claudia chuckles. “Thank you, Frans. But I am a model. My manager is asking me for a strict diet because next week I will be doing a fashion show,” Claudia politely replies.

Frans nodded his head. He wouldn't force this girl to eat if she didn't want to. “Good. If you're bored and want to go home, there'll be a driver to drive you. Take it easy, I will still pay you even if you go home first,” Frans said slowly so that no one heard that he paid Claudia to come with him.

Claudia nodded. “Thank you,” he said then sipped his drink.

As the two of them were chatting, Aren suddenly approached them. Although Aren and Frans were half-brothers, their relationship was arguably quite close. The only person hostile to Frans in the Nielsen family was his stepmother. While his half-brother was very good to him.

“Hai, Frans and ..”

“Claudia,” says Frans, connecting greetings from Aren.

Aren smiled at Claudia and turned back to Frans. “I'm glad you want to come to this event,” he said.

Frans chuckled softly. “No problem at all. Than Papa terrorizing me with the phone is better I come, isn't it?” jest.

Not only once or twice did Jorgie terrorize Frans with repeated calls. Because Frans was lazy to come to the event held by Jorgie, the man often had to try extra so that Frans would come to the event he held. Jorgie was well aware that what Frans did had a solid foundation. But, still he wanted to see his son at the important events he held.

Drrt ... Drrt ....

“Ah, sorry. I have to pick up this phone. Excuse me,”, Claudia said, then walked away from Frans and Aren.

When Claudia was a little away, Aren asked Frans, “Is she your new boyfriend?”

Frans shook his head. “No. Peter introduced her to me. I'm not interested in making her a lover because you know for sure what happened to my marriages,” Frans replied with a sigh.

“You still believe in the curse?” hissing Aren while staring around him, making sure that no one would hear his words.

Frans pulled his shoulder.

Before Aren could comment on Frans again, Claudia actually came to them and bid farewell to go home.

“Frans, I'm so sorry I have to go home now. All of a sudden my manager called and said I had to replace a model who left the photo shoot,” Claudia said.

“Goodnight, Frans, Aren,” Claudia said and walked away from the event.

After Claudia leaves, Aren asks Frans to come with her to another room. He wanted to have a private chat with Frans so he took Frans to a much quieter room. Incidentally in the hall there is a room that can be used to rest.

In the room, the two of them exchanged stories. Although Lulla hates Frans, Aren has great respect for him. They often communicate without Lulla's knowledge because if Lulla finds out, she will be furious with Aren.

“What do you want to talk about, Aren?” frans asked curiously because his stepbrother had invited him to another room because he wanted to tell Frans about something.

“Actually now I like a woman, Frans,” said Aren, starting the story. “But, I'm not sure I'll get the blessing to marry him.”

Frans frowned. “Why is it impossible? Is she not my ex-wife?” chirps Frans.

“Of course not! Are you crazy?” omel Aren, got a reply in the form of a crisp laugh from Frans.

“Alright, alright. I'm serious now. Why do you think you won't get your blessing?” ask Frans after he stops laughing.

Aren sighed. “The woman I like is not a wealthy woman. She was just an ordinary woman from the bottom. I'm afraid my mom won't give her blessing if she knows I want to marry an ordinary woman,” explained Aren.

“Aren, I think your life is your choice. No one can rule you. If you love him, then you marry him. If it's your mother's problem, she'll be willing to accept the woman you married if you're married. Slowly but surely,” said Frans, advising Aren.

Aren smiled broadly. She was happy because Frans had always supported her. Not only a matter of romance, without the knowledge of his parents, actually Frans is also one of the people who took part behind the scenes for Aren's success so far. The clients he got were mostly interference from Frans who had recommended Aren to his clients. If not for Frans' help, maybe Aren would not have been as successful as he is today.

“Frans, thank you. I know that you will definitely support me,” Aren said very happily.

“I'm just saying what it is, Aren. Your happiness is your choice. So, don't let you just be unhappy because you have to obey the orders of others,” Frans explained.

Aren nodded his head. “Then, how about you? Have you found a woman who can replace Carlynda?” ask Aren.

“I currently do not want to think about romance,” replied Frans indifferently. “It seems that getting married is of no use to me because I won't be able to have any offspring.”

“Frans, don't despair like that. We don't know what's going to happen in the future. Who knows if later you will be lucky and get a miracle from God,” said Aren.

Frans chuckled amusedly. The man did not expect that his half-brother was apparently so naive. Frans, who no longer believes in love and thinks that the curse has brought misfortune, chooses not to take the dizzy women's problems. She was traumatized by what had happened to her previous marriages.

Frans put down the drink he brought on the table, then said, “Aren, I say goodbye. I forgot I had a business.”

“What solution? Would you not say goodbye to mom and dad first?” ask Aren.
