The Secret of the Billionaire's Curse

The Secret of the Billionaire's Curse
Forced to Lie

A beautiful girl with long hair was preparing all the kitchen equipment. He checked food and drinks in storage. After making sure nothing was lacking, the girl went to the kitchen to bake bread as soon as the cafe would be opened.

While humming softly Kara cut the bread dough that she had previously prepared into pieces, then shaped it as she wanted and put it in the oven. After finishing with the bread, he cleaned the kitchen table and cut the ingredients so that the chef he worked on was easier to cook. Customers at Kara cafe can be said to be quite a lot so that if Kara does not prepare everything at the beginning, it could be the chef keteteran.

“Kara, does anyone need grandma help?” ask Lesyana. The old woman could not bear to see her granddaughter doing everything herself. Every day, Lesyana at least helps Kara's work for a while. Although Kara has repeatedly banned her, as a grandmother Lesyana would certainly still help Kara.

Kara raised her head. “No need, Grandma. Soon also the chef will come,” reply Kara with a smile then refocused on the ingredients of the food she was cutting.

“Then, grandma will wipe the table only,” said Lesyana. Right, eh? Although Kara has banned him, Lesyana will still help even if only doing light work.

Kara chuckled softly while shaking her head.

Bruk!

There had not been five minutes of Lesyana leaving the kitchen, there was a loud impact sound. With her heart racing, Kara ran outside and found her grandmother unconscious on the cafe floor.

“Grandmother!” kara exclaimed with wide eyes.

Along with that, the Kara cafe employees came. They also ran to Lesyana whose body was already weak.

“Nona Kara, we should take Grandma Lesyana to the hospital now,” said one of Kara's employees. “I'll drive you. Coincidentally today I brought a car.”

Kara nodded her head. With the help of the employees, Kara manages to get Lesyana into the car. His employee named Ciara also drove his car to the nearest hospital.

During the trip, Kara held her grandmother's hand very tightly. Tears fell from her eyes. The girl felt very worried about the condition of Lesyana because people who are at an old age are very easy to get the disease. Kara was really worried about my grandmother.

“Grandma, wake up, Grandma. Don't make me worry like this,” Kara said as she stroked Lesyana's face. He revealed Lesyana's gray hair blocking her face.

Forty-five minutes later, they finally arrived at the hospital. Soon Kara brought the grandmother to the emergency unit so that it could be treated immediately. Paramedics on duty also swiftly helped Kara to bring Lesyana with a push-bed.

“Ciara, you better go back to the cafe. I'm fine here alone,” Kara told her employees.

“Are you sure?” ask Ciara to make sure.

Kara nodded. “Iya.”

“Then I go first. Hopefully Granny Lesyana is okay,” said Ciara then passed away leaving the hospital.

While Kara who was still in the emergency room was incessantly crying. He's feeling very panicked. When her grandmother was over seventy years old, she was afraid that something bad might happen to her.

Kara hurriedly wiped her tears and stood up. “Iya, Doc. I'm his grandson,” reply Kara. “How is grandma?”

“Your grandmother is okay. Just tired. We have also checked blood sugar, cholesterol, and tension. Everything's normal. Old age like your grandmother is natural if you are often tired. You should not be allowed to do a tiring job,” explained the doctor who handles Kara's grandmother.

“Good, Doc. I-i understand. Can I see my grandmother now?” ask Kara.

“Of course. Soon your grandmother must be awake and looking for you,” said the doctor and walked ahead of Kara to get into the emergency room.  “Your grandmother is in room number three.”

Kara nodded then went to the room that the doctor said. There he saw the body of his grandmother lying weakly in the hospital bed. Kara's chest sliced bitterly at how the person who usually looked the most powerful in her eyes was now lying helplessly.

“Grandmother, wake up,” said Kara with tears welling up in her eyes. The girl could not bear to see her grandmother's pale-looking face. If only Kara had been paying more attention to her grandmother, maybe something like this wouldn't have happened. That's what Kara regrets right now.

‘If I hadn't let grandma help take care of the cafe, maybe grandma wouldn't have fallen like this,’ Kara murmured inwardly.

The girl grabbed her grandmother's hand, then squeezed it slowly. “Grandma, I promise I won't let anything like this happen again to grandma. I really love grandma,” said Kara in between sobs.

Kara recalls the days she spent with her grandmother. Never once did Lesyana complain of exhaustion. The old woman always shows her smile in front of Kara and always supports Kara in making decisions in her life. For Kara, Lesyana has replaced the role of a parent for her. As the only person Kara has, Lesyana means a lot to Kara.

As if she could hear the sobs of her beloved granddaughter, Lesyana slowly opened her eyes. “Kara, don't crybaby. You're an adult. Why crying?” asked Lesyana in a very weak voice.

Kara who realized her grandmother had realized instead of stopping crying even more sobbing. “Grandpa! I'm so worried!” his head with spoiled. “Why didn't grandma say she was tired? Should have been grandma rest just now.”

Lesyana smiles. “Kara, grandma wants you to get married soon so grandma can calm down,” said Lesyana.

That speech made Kara think that her grandmother's age was not long. “Grandma don't say like that.” He puffed his cheeks.

“Didn't you want to get married soon, Kara? You are twenty-six, mature enough to get married.” Lesyana who began to be curious about Kara's romance life was wondering.

“Grandma, I am happy with my life now. I haven't thought about marriage at all,” Kara replied.

“Grandmother knows that you are happy. But, please also think about your beautiful life,” said Lesyana with a faint smile.

Kara let out her breath. “Grandma don't worry. I was close to a man, kok,” Kara replied originally.

Despite not having a man close to her, Kara said it was to calm her grandmother's mind. Do not let Lesyana many thoughts and his condition gets worse.
